Accessing the Portal: Portal Access is available by clicking the Infinite Campus Portal link from the home page of each school or by typing the following into your web browser s address bar: https://maine.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/msad40.jsp Setting up User Access: 1. You will need your Activation Key. If you do not have a key, contact your student s school 2. Click on the link called If you have been assigned a Campus Portal Activation Key
3. Enter your Activation Key 4. Create your User Name and Password. User Names cannot contain numbers and must be a minimum of 6 letters. Passwords must be a minimum of 8 characters, which can include numbers and letters and is also case sensitive. Once you ve created your account, you can then login to the Portal. Example Password: Spike78@2
Basic Navigation: The Home Page is the page that you will see once logged into the Portal. Your account will contain student information for students within the district in which you are the legal guardian. Student accounts only provide information about the individual student. Family This is the demographic information about your family, such as address, email, phone and a list of other members within the household (family unit). The household s physical and mailing address and all individuals designated as part of that household are available.
Family Calendar Shows the school calendar; i.e. holidays, student assignments and attendance for all students within the family. Clicking on either side of the month/year at the top can change the month. To access the assignment or attendance detail, click on the icon located on that day.
Schedule Shows the student schedule including the periods and terms. Parents may email the teacher directly by clicking on the teacher s name to the right of the envelope icon associated with the course. This requires that you have a default email system set up for it to work. If you do not, you can copy the teacher s email address and paste into any email system. To obtain the address, click on the email envelope icon and the email address will appear at the very bottom left hand corner. Student s assignments and grades are viewable by clicking on the class link associated with the course. If assignment information is available, an assignment icon will display.
Grades highlighted in yellow mean that they are in progress. Grades highlighted in green mean that it is a reported grade for either the Quarter or the Mid Term /Progress Report. To determine which, first look at the left hand column to see if the grade is in the Progress Report row or the Quarter Grade row and then notice the color. This example shows that the 91 is in progress for Quarter 1. If the time for Mid Term/Progress Reports had passed, the grade would show in green under the Progress Report box for Quarter 1. Individual scores received for each assignment.
Attendance Shows summary information of student s attendance. If there are no attendance events recorded, the student was present for that day. To determine the student s attendance, you will need to reference the legend to the right hand side and identify the code as well as the color of the code. Transportation Provides bus and daycare information for the selected student when applicable. Reports There are two reports that can be generated. The first report lists the student s schedule. The second will list missing assignments. Change Account Information User s password can be changed. Change Contact Information User s E-Mail address can be changed
