Track Enhancement #2 (Feature ID: 356) The Automate Waiting List enhancement (Feature ID: 356) has been incorporated into NavplusQA.nefec.org for District Admin quality assurance testing. The purpose of this enhancement is to automate the process of moving a user from a session waiting list and into the enrolled list. Below are examples of what might need to be tested as well as suggestions for items of which to be aware. NavplusQA will send emails to users. While testing this enhancement, it is advisable to either notify users that an enhancement is being tested or create dummy users to test the enhancement on. Scenario: A A session is at enrollment capacity and then the administrator un- enrolls a user or users. On the sessions tab of a created activity, a created session can be set to only allow a certain number of attendees. Once the session has reached maximum capacity, an administrator can un- enroll a user by updating the session page to reflect a session has been cancelled for a user. After a session has been created in the activity, click on the update button.
There will be a list of the users that are enrolled and users that are on the waiting list. Click on the check box of the user that needs their enrollment cancelled, change the status to say cancelled, and then click on the update users button. Notice that the user that was labeled as in- progress (Waiting List) automatically updates to in- progress (Enrolled). The user that was first to be placed on the waiting list will be the first to be enrolled in the event of a cancellation.
The user that is now enrolled should receive an email informing them of the change. Items to test or be aware of for Scenario A: Verify that more users cannot be added to a session once the limit to that session has been reached Verify that users statuses can be changed Verify that the first user on the waiting list is the first user that is automatically added to the enrolled list Verify that the users who have had their statuses changed received emails informing them of the change Scenario: B An administrator reduces enrollment capacity below current enrollment. In the event that the number of users in a session needs to be reduced, an administrator can go to the session, change the max number of users, and update the session.
The user(s) that were the last to be added the session will automatically update to in- progress (waiting list). They will also receive an email notification of the change. Items to test or be aware of for Scenario B: Verify that the amount of users in a session can be changed Verify that the users who are put on the waiting list are updated in the order which they were enrolled Verify that the users who have had their statuses changed received emails informing them of the change Scenario: C An administrator increases enrollment capacity above current enrollment In the event that the number of users in a session needs to be increased, an administrator can go to the session, change the max number of users, and update the session.
Those users that were on the waiting list should automatically update from in- progress (Waiting List) to in- progress (Enrolled). The user(s) that are now enrolled should receive an email informing them of the change.
Items to test or be aware of for Scenario C: Verify that the amount of users in a session can be changed Verify that the users who are automatically enrolled are updated in the order which they were put on the waiting list Verify that the users who have had their statuses changed received emails informing them of the change Scenario: D A user unregisters from a session. Once the session has reached maximum capacity, a user can un- enroll him/herself by going to the session in their portfolio and unregister from the session. A user has this ability only if they have registered him/herself and not registered by an administrator.
In the event of a user unregistering him/herself from a session, the user that was first placed on the waiting list will be updated to in- progress (Enrolled). The user that is now enrolled should receive an email informing them of the change. Items to test or be aware of for Scenario D: Verify that a user can unregister him/herself from a session Verify that the users who are automatically enrolled are updated in the order which they were put on the waiting list Verify that the users who have had their statuses changed received emails informing them of the change
Track Enhancement #9 (Feature ID: 355) The Activity Approval enhancement (Feature ID: 356) has been incorporated into NavplusQA.nefec.org for District Admin quality assurance testing. The purpose of this enhancement is to lock activities created under the district unless an administrator consents to listing the activity as a school improvement plan. Below are examples of what might need to be tested as well as suggestions for items of which to be aware. Desired Function: Click on edit organization located in the organizations menu. Select the district from the menu tree, click on the checkbox Child activities require admin approval, and then submit the changes. This feature will only work at the district level and not the individual school level. With the box checked and submitted, all activities created or edited under the district will be locked unless the administrator consents to the activity being listed as school improvement plan. When an administrator attempts to edit the activity, the Component, Sharing, Tasks, and Sessions tabs will be greyed out.
In order to edit the activity, the administrator needs to check the check box stating: This activity is listed in the school improvement plan and/or district professional development plan. Once the box has been checked, the greyed out features should be accessible. Items to test or be aware of: Verify that the Child activities require admin approval check box is available when a district is selected. Verify that the Edit Activity features are greyed out when an administrator attempts to edit an activity. Verify that permissions are set such that the enhancement will affect the school level track administrator correctly. The Edit Activity features are greyed out when the school level administrator attempts to edit an activity. Verify that a school level administrator will be able to check the This activity is listed in the school improvement plan and/or district professional development plan check box before editing the activity. Verify that the Edit Activity features are available after the school level track administrator clicks on the This activity is listed in the school improvement plan and/or district professional development plan check box.
