Installing Papercut and Printers for Mac OSX Note: Please make sure you have administrative rights on your computer before proceeding with the install. 1. Download and save the PaperCut application to your computer. The file name is mac.zip Click here to download 2. Double click the downloaded file to unzip it. 3. Click on the mac directory folder

4. Drag the PCClient file to your Applications Folder 5. Open PaperCut This is the method we recommend using. It gives you Gatekeeper s full security, but the flexibility to open occasional unsigned apps when you know and trust them. If you attempt to open an app you downloaded from a source other than the Mac App Store, and get the popup below, you ll need to override Gatekeeper in order to open the app. As always, make sure you know where the app came from before overriding Gatekeeper.

Instead of double-clicking on the app in question to open it, here s what you do: A. Ctrl+click or right click on the app and select Open from the contextual menu. B. This time you ll see the popup below instead of a message saying the app can t be opened at all. C. Click Open The PaperCut app is from a trusted source. The app will open and you ll be able to use it normally now. You may get one more popup from time to time verifying that you re sure, but you can confirm them as well, as needed. D. If you are prompted to install the Java client, choose yes. Enter your local administrator password if prompted. E. You will be prompted to Install PCClient into the Applications Folder. Click Yes. F. Enter your Username and Password in the PaperCut window that appears and check the box next to Remember my identity G. Open System Preferences -> Users and Groups (Accounts for OS X 10.6) and ensure that the currently logged on user is selected. H. Select the Login Items tab. I. Click the + button, navigate to the applications folder in the left-hand pane. A. Click PCClient. B. Click Add. C. Click the checkbox next to PCClient to hide the application when it starts

6. Enter your Company ID as the Username and your Print PIN as the Password then click OK. You can find this information in the My Guide section of your WeWork app on your smartphone. If you are having trouble locating this information, ask your building s Community Manager and they will assist you. 7. Download the printer drivers Click here for Kyocera Printer Drivers 8. Select your operating system and install the driver 9. Click through the on-screen instructions to finish the install 10. Go to your System Preferences

11. Click Print & Scan 12. Click the + to add a new printer 13. Select the IP icon and enter the following information

14. Click Use at the bottom of the window and select Select Printer Software 15. Search for 3051 and select the Kyocera TASKalfa 3051ci (KPDL)

16. Click Add 17. WeWork s printers are now installed on your computer 1. Open the PaperCut Application. PaperCut must be open if you wish to print. Printing

2. Open the item you wish to print 3. Select File > Print

4. Ensure that the printer selected is highlighted as WeWork 5. If it is your first time printing that day, PaperCut will ask you to login with your account.

6. You will receive a printing confirmation on your screen alerting you to retrieve your document from the printer.

Retrieving Your Prints Go to the printer you wish to retrieve your document from 1. Login to the printer with your username and password 2. Select the item you wish to print

3. Select print and you re all set!

Frequently Asked Questions If your username has any zeros in front of it, ignore the zeros. (Example: username 0629 would be entered as 629 ) When you finish installing PaperCut, the client will automatically run every time you turn on your computer and it will minimize to the Dock. It will ask you to log in periodically after you send your first print job. The default color setting to print is color. To change this setting in Microsoft Word select Imaging in the print drop down menu and select Color Mode.

To change this setting in Preview, select Printer Features & Graphics 1 in the print drop down menu and select Color Mode. Common Printing Issues 1. You log in to the printer, but your print job is not in the queue... a. Was the PaperCut client open on your computer? If not, open the PaperCut client and try again. b. Did you receive a confirmation that your print job was complete? If no confirmation was received, the PaperCut client may be waiting for you to enter your printer ID and password c. Did you print to the correct printer? Try your print job again ensuring that your printer is set to WeWork d. Are you on a corporate VPN? If so, log out from your VPN and try printing again. e. Still no job in the Queue? Contact your Community Management team. 2. You retrieve your print job from the queue at the printer and press print, but nothing happens... a. Is your print job a multipage PDF, or other large print job? Large print jobs may take several minutes to download into the printer s memory before printing. If the lights are blinking on the front panel then the job is processing. If after waiting several minutes there is sign from the printer that it is still processing (the lights are still blinking), please contact your Community Manager.
