Overview OCC s new product line for Power and Control Tray Cable for industrial applications offers a robust and dependable product with enhanced mechanical and environmental performance features. The new OCC product has the unique combination of being Power and Control Tray Cable UL 1277 Rated for power, optical fiber, exposed run, and sunlight resistant and has options for copper shielding. In addition, these new hybrid cables offer users a variety of copper and fiber configurations designed for challenging environments. While many fiber optic cable manufacturers have claimed to have tray rated fiber optic cables, OCC s fiber optic tray cables have always been third party verified to meet the functional requirements of tray cable standards by incorporating OCC s proven ruggedized cable constructions. Applications Industrial Conveyance Surface mining FTTA Incredible mechanical and environmental performance. OCC s TC-OF Tray Cable with optical fiber and optional exposed run design contains power conductors and multiple fiber optic elements. Durable enough to survive the weight of other heavy cables and industrial temperature extremes, they are approved for use directly in cable trays along with other power cables. The exposed run rating means the cables are approved for installation where sections are left as open wiring even without the protection of a cable tray. In addition, they maintain the low flammability required of indoor cables. Incorporated fiber optic elements. By integrating OCC s fiber optic cables with the power cable, the customer has better protection for the optical fibers and reduced installation costs by installing one cable in the place of several individual cables. Variety of configuration options. The new TC-OF product set can be configured in a multitude of cable constructions. Additionally, they complement OCC s fiber optic tray cable equivalent family with UL OFNR listing. The expansion of this new family of cables opens up a broad mix of most industrial, conveyance, surface mining, and FTTA applications. occfiber.com 1
