Overview This document outlines the installation and new features / bug fixes/ features enhancement in the Thinspace OneGate Linux client 4.1.2. Prerequisites and Components Component Version Download Link Remarks OneGate Linux Client 4.1.2 Download Here This release is tested on Ubuntu 12 and 14. This release contains rdesktop version 1.8.1 Installation Steps Copy and run the installer file on client machine and then installer wizard window will be displayed. Here you need to click on next button. Please make sure that installer has write permission. User can check this using terminal. Again click on next button and installer folder windows will open. Here you need to specify the folder path where user wants to install the OneGate Linux client. 2
Then click on next button. Select component window will open, here user needs to select the client component which users wants to install. Click on next button and then it will ask for sudo password. Enter password and click on ok button. 3
After this window it will start installing OneGate client and show successful message. New Features v4.1.2 Updated UI for Linux client OneGate Linux client logo alignment and domain fetch icon have been updated. 4
Host name resolution support on Linux client. This new Linux client supports host name resolution. Now if any application (TSE,RDP or web) is configured using host name on OneGate server then user can access these applications using new Linux client. This Linux client will automatically resolve the hostname and open the application. OneGate administrator can publish application using hostname of application server or any dummy host name also. Before create dummy application OneGate administrator need to make a host file entry on OneGate network configuration option. OneGate shortcut option does not created At the time of installation user may get error message regarding shortcut logo creation. Please ignore this error message. 5
Blank message Sometimes blank message is display again and again at the time of launching client. Then you need to reboot the system. Motherboard id is not detected. OneGate client execute with non admin user right then motherboard id is not detected on device management page. Run this client from terminal using sudo right then client will be able to detect mother board id from client device. New Features v4.0.5.5 New UI New OneGate Linux client UI looks like windows client. Dropdown list for selecting OneGate domain If multiple OneGate domains are configured on OneGate server then Linux client will show OneGate domain selection drop down list at the time of login. 6
New Linux Client LaunchPad New LaunchPad window UI for OneGate Linux client. There are four tabs in this new LaunchPad. These are TSE Applications, Web Applications, RDP Applications and Others Applications. User can launch TSE, RDP and Web application from LaunchPad. User also can hide LaunchPad. Password change option through Linux client Now user can change the password from Linux client. After login into OneGate client there is an option to change the user password. Also if active directory user s password has been expired then at the time of login into OneGate Linux client user will get password expiry message and also will get option to change the AD password. 7
Device ID feature support This new OneGate Linux client supports OneGate device ID feature. Performance improvement We have improved the performance of Linux client. Login time as well as application access time is faster. Clipboard support This new Linux client supports clipboard functionality. Now user can copy text from local machine to TSE application or RDP application via OneGate Linux client. 8
Login using One Time Password If OTP is configured on OneGate server then client will show the OTP option for login.
