System Requirements 3 1 System Requirements Supported operating systems Windows 32-Bit: 2000, XP (SP3), Server 2003, Server 2003 R2, Vista, Windows 7 (SP1), Server 2008, Server 2008 R2 Windows 64-Bit: XP (SP3), Server 2003, Server 2003 R2, Vista, Windows 7 (SP1), Server 2008, Server 2008 R2 Unix: Linux x86/x64, Solaris x86/x64, Solaris Sparc For productive use Bosch Software Innovations GmbH recommends: For using the inubit software in a production environment, you should install a 64-bit version. Furthermore, you should replace the databases of the inubit Process Engine and the Solution Center by a relational database for the enterprise environment, since the databases included in the delivery are only designed for test mode. For the inubit WebModeler 2.3 models are stored in the file system as a default. Alternatively, you can also use a PostgreSQL database. For detailed notes refer to Product documentation, p. 12. 4 Installing from DVD 2 Installing from DVD 1. Put the installation DVD into your DVD drive. If your system is configured accordingly, your default browser opens automatically and displays an HTML page for selecting the installation file. If not, open a file explorer and double-click the file index.html in the DVD directory. 2. Click the symbol of the operating system under which you want to run the inubit software. The installation wizard starts. 3. The installation wizard guides you through the installation. Follow the wizard instructions and stop on the Choose Install Set page: 4. Select and check an install set. The install set must match your license, unless you have got a test license. In this case, you can select any installation set. - Installing install sets Full Installation, Process Center, or Modeling Center with Liferay Version 5.2 instead of 6.0: With these install sets, the portal is installed on the basis of Liferay version 6.0 as a default. Installing from DVD 5 - Installing install sets Process Center, Solution Center, Integration Center, or Modeling Center with JBoss instead of Tomcat: By default, the application server Tomcat is installed. To install JBoss instead, select the install set Custom. - Distributing Process Engine, Solution Center and Enterprise Portal To install the Process Engine, the Solution Center, and the Enterprise Portal on different systems, select the install set Custom on each system using the desired component. Once you have finished the installation successfully, configure the connections between the systems. 5. Click Next. - If you have selected one of the pre-defined install sets, a summary of the information you have entered so far is displayed. - If you have selected Custom, a page for selecting individual components is displayed. a. From the Install Set list, select the install set which is most similar to what you wish to install. By doing so, all components of the install set are selected. b. Check all components which should be installed and uncheck all components which should not be installed. The checkmark symbol and the minus sign both signal that the component listed next to them will be installed: c. Click Next. A summary of the information you have entered so far is displayed. 6. 6 Requesting a License Key The selected components are installed. A progress bar indicates the current status. Once the installation is finished, the Pre- Installation Summary page is displayed. 7. Click Finish to close the installation wizard. Depending on your selected install set, proceed as follows: Workbench: Refer to Starting the inubit Workbench and Logging in (Quick Start, chap. 6, p. 9). All other install sets: Refer to Requesting a License Key (Quick Start, chap. 3, p. 6). 3 Requesting a License Key In order to start the inubit software and its components, you need a test or productive license key. For the Workbench install set no license is required! But for using the Workbench you need to access a running inubit Process Engine. Test license key We gladly provide a test license for testing the inubit software. This license is limited to a time period of 30 days. 1. Please request the license key. 2. Complete the form and enter the MAC address of the computer on which you want to install the inubit software or its components. Refer to - Windows: Identifying Your MAC Address (Quick Start, chap. 3.1, p. 7) - Linux: Identifying Your MAC Address (Quick Start, chap. 3.2, p. 7) The license is sent to you as.zip file via e-mail. Continue with section Importing the License Key (Quick Start, chap. 4, p. 8). Productive license key 1. Select Start > Programs > inubit > Documentation > License Agreement. A form is displayed. Requesting a License Key 7 3. Complete the form and enter the MAC address of the computer on which you want to install the inubit software or its components. Refer to - Windows: Identifying Your MAC Address (Quick Start, chap. 3.1, p. 7) - Linux: Identifying Your MAC Address (Quick Start, chap. 3.2, p. 7) 4. Send the form to the fax number of the Bosch Software Innovations GmbH, which is given in the form. The license is sent to you as.zip file via e-mail. Continue with section Importing the License Key (Quick Start, chap. 4, p. 8). 3.1 Windows: Identifying Your MAC Address 1. Select Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt. The command prompt is displayed. 2. Enter the following command: ipconfig /all 3. Press the ENTER key. A listing is displayed. You find the MAC address in section Ethernet Adapter LAN Connection or Wireless LAN Adapter Wireless Connection in the line Physical Address. 3.2 Linux: Identifying Your MAC Address In the command line, enter the command /sbin/ifconfig. 8 Importing the License Key 4 Importing the License Key The license is stored in the file license.xml and is required for starting the inubit Process Engine. 1. Unzip the zip file you received via e-mail. Result is the file license.xml. 2. Depending on your selected install set, copy the license in one of the following directories: - Full Installation, Process Center, Integration Center, Modeling Center: <is-installdir>/server/ibis_root/conf - Solution Center: <SC-installdir>/server/sc_root/conf Depending on your selected install set, proceed as follows: Solution Center: Refer to Starting the Solution Center (Install Set Solution Center) (Quick Start, chap. 9, p. 11). All other install sets: Refer to Starting the inubit Process Engine (Quick Start, chap. 5, p. 8). 5 Starting the inubit Process Engine Prerequisites The license is already imported. Do one of the following: Windows: Click Start > Programs > inubit > Start Process Engine. Linux/Windows: Start the script that is appropriate to your operating system: - Tomcat: <installdir>/server/tomcat/bin/ startup.sh or.bat - JBoss: <installdir>/server/jboss/bin/run.sh or.bat Continue with section Starting the inubit Workbench and Logging in (Quick Start, chap. 6, p. 9). 2013-09-05 inubit 6.1: Quick Start
Starting the inubit Workbench and Logging in 9 6 Starting the inubit Workbench and Logging in Prerequisites The inubit Process Engine is already started or a running inubit Process Engine is available via the network! 1. Start the Workbench: - Windows: Start > [All] Programs > inubit > Workbench - Linux/Windows: <installdir>/client/bin/start_ local.sh or.bat The following dialog is displayed: 2. To login as system administrator, enter root as login name and inubit as password. 3. Click Login. The inubit Workbench opens. For security reasons, change the root password now. To do so in the inubit Workbench, select File > Change password from the menu bar. 10 Opening the inubit Enterprise Portal 1. In the inubit Workbench, navigate to the Configuration > User Manager tab. 2. Select the user root, open the context menu and select Edit user data. A dialog is displayed. 3. Enter a valid e-mail address and close the dialog with OK. 4. In the inubit Workbench, navigate to the Configuration > General Settings tab. 5. Display the configuration category Monitoring > E-Mail Notification. 6. Activate the Notification activated option. 7. Enter the name of your e-mail server in the Server name field. 8. To save your changes, click in the tool bar. Starting 14 days ahead of the expiration of your license, a daily e-mail will be sent to the address specified for user root, reminding you of license expiration. Depending on your selected install set, continue as follows: Integration Center, Workbench: Now, you can start working with the inubit software. Full Installation, Process Center, Modeling Center: Refer to Opening the inubit Enterprise Portal (Quick Start, chap. 8, p. 10). 8 Opening the inubit Enterprise Portal In the inubit Enterprise Portal, the inubit Process Cockpit and optionally the Solution Center and the WebModeler are displayed. If you have installed the entire inubit software (full installation) or the install set Modeling Center, you can add the Solution Center and the WebModeler manually as portlets. The inubit Process Cockpit is already pre-configured and consists of the following pages: Process Viewer: For displaying the process model (Business Process Diagrams, Organization Diagrams, Business Object Diagrams, SOA Maps and System Diagrams). Task List: Contains personal and role-based tasks which can be used for integrating employees in automated business processes. Report Viewer: For quickly accessing technical and businessrelated data. Starting the Solution Center (Install Set Solution Center) 11 1. In the inubit Workbench, display the Configuration > General Settings tab. 2. Display the configuration category Portal > Server configuration. 3. Activate the inubit Enterprise Portal included in delivery by selecting the value Liferay from the option Portal Server. 4. To save your changes, click in the tool bar. Activate the inubit Process Cockpit 5. Display the configuration category Portal > Portal Deployment and click next to the Portlet archives (Administration/ Deployment) option. A dialog opens. 6. Click Deploy archive and confirm the next dialog. The portlets are being deployed to the inubit Enterprise Portal. After successful deployment, a message is displayed. Close the dialog. 7. To display the inubit Enterprise Portal, open a browser and enter the following URL: http://<computer_name>:8000. The inubit Enterprise Portal is opened. 8. Log in to the portal. You find details about logging in to the Portal in the Welcome Portlet. The inubit Process Cockpit is displayed immediately after logging in. If you have selected the install set Process Center, you can now start working with the inubit software. Otherwise, proceed with the following chapter Activating the Solution Center and the WebModeler (Install Sets Full Installation, Modeling Center, Solution Center) (Quick Start, chap. 10, p. 12). 9 Starting the Solution Center (Install Set Solution Center) 1. Start the inubit Process Engine: - Windows: Start > [All] Programs > inubit > Start Process Engine - Linux: <SC-installdir>/server/Tomcat/bin/ startup.sh The deployment of the Solution Center 3.0 portlets starts. Wait until the deployment is finished and the following entries are visible in the start window of the Process Engine: 1 portlet for sc is available for use 1 portlet for wm is available for use 2. You find details about logging in to the Portal in the Welcome Portlet. Continue with section Activating the Solution Center and the WebModeler (Install Sets Full Installation, Modeling Center, Solution Center) (Quick Start, chap. 10, p. 12). 10 Activating the Solution Center and the WebModeler (Install Sets Full Installation, Modeling Center, Solution Center) Now, you create two new pages in the inubit Enterprise Portal and add the Solution Center and the WebModeler as portlets to these page. 1. In the inubit Enterprise Portal, click Add > Page. An entry field for the name of the new page is displayed. 2. Enter Solution Center and press the ENTER key. 3. Display the new page. 4. From the Add menu, select the inubit Solution Center entry. The Solution Center is displayed. 5. Create another a new page and call it WebModeler. 6. Display the new page. 7. Add the application inubit WebModeler to this new page.
