1. Introduction 1.1 Foreword This manual contains the instructions for takeaway.com s free software, T-Connect. The software is available in Dutch, German, English or French. All orders placed on Takeaway.com are directly saved by our servers in the t-connect program. You receive orders in your T-Connect just a few seconds after they have been placed online. Your menu, as it appears on Takeaway.com is automatically saved in T-Connect. You do not have to type it in yourself. Also the system makes automatically back-ups of the data. The T-Connect software is the most efficient and rapid way to receive your orders. The advantage of the software is that your customers can follow the progress of their order until your delivery man leaves the restaurant. You will find more information on page 9. You can download the T-Connect software from your restaurant page (restaurants.takeaway.com), your username and password are on your invoices. If you have chosen to hire one of your food terminals, the software is already installed on it so you may skip chapters 1.2 to 1.4 of this manual. The software enables you to receive all orders placed on Takeaway.com but you can also easily type in your other orders. For all orders entered yourself we will obviously not charge a commission. In the next chapter everything is explained step by step. 1.2 T-connect download You can download T-Connect from your restaurant page 1) Find your username and password (on your invoice) 2) Go to restaurants.takeaway.com (no www in front) 3) Fill your username and password in 4) Click on the tab software 5) Click on download T-Connect 6) You will now see the screen on the right, click on run. Example 1: Login screen Example 2: Run the software after downloading 3

1.3 T-Connect on food terminal with touchscreen If you have chosen to hire one of our food terminals then it will be installed by a member of our team. The software will already be installed on the food terminal (with touchscreen). Our technical staff will make sure everything works perfectly before leaving your restaurant. Example 3: Food terminal 1.4 Installation When you have downloaded the software and clicked on run, this next screen should appear. In the black rectangle an activation number will appear. (Beware: in some cases the software will install itself without giving a number. In that case you must call us so we put T-Connect as main connection!) 1) Call us on 0207 872 5402 and give us your activation number Daily opened from 10.00 am till 11.00 pm Example 4: Activate T-Connectl 2) Give your restaurant name and confirm that you wish to use the software 3) Our call center will then activate T-Connect as main connection to send your orders 4

2 Orders (order overview) 2.1 Customer data All orders that you receive through Takeaway.com will directly pop up in your T-Connect. This image is an example of what you will see when you receive a new order: 1) Example 5 illustrates an order placed in advance for a delivery at a scheduled time. Click on confirm to accept the delivery time the customer has chosen, or click on the or + symbol to change the time accordingly. Remember; Click confirm to secure this delivery or the customer may think you haven t received the order. Example 5: Delivery at scheduled time 2) Example 6 shows a order placed that would like delivery to be as soon as possible. Please select the amount of minutes you will need to successfully deliver the order. We have selected 45 minutes delivery time. Example 6: ASAP Delivery 5

2.2 Orders The orders will appear as below. When you click on an order, it will open and show the details. The top banner with the different logos shows the status of this particular order. The printer) Shows that the order still has to be prepared. The bowl) Shows the order is being prepared The scooter) Shows that the order is on the way. Once the delivery is on the way the order will become grey and will appear at the bottom of the list. You must update the status yourself by clicking on the adequate logos. The button turns green when you change the status of the order. Example 7: Click on the order you wish to modify Example 8: Click on wish stage of the order you are up tp. New, Kitchen or On The Way. The M next to the tab Deliverer shows that the order is placed via the mobile website of takeaway. com. 2.3 Make changes It is not possible to alter orders you receive from the website on your T-Connect. You will only be able to change the delivery time or erase the order. If any changes are made to an order must inform the customer. If an order is deleted (you will receive notification from Takeaway.com) in T-Connect this does not mean that commission won t be charged. 6

2.4 The top logos & Food Tracker On top of the order screen you will see new, kitchen and on the way. As soon as a new order arrives it will be under new. Once the order is being prepared or delivered you must click on one of the two logos. This information is saved in your system and a notification is sent to the customer. Your customers will then be able to follow the progress of their order. In the order list, a logo shows you at what stage the order is. Below you can see the screen that your customers will be able to follow. * Important: It is imperative that you always specify the status of each order by clicking on the correct logos (if the order is being prepared or on the way). If you don t update the status it will stay on confirmed and the customer may think that their order has not been taken by your restaurant. Generally, orders will need to be delivered as soon as possible therefore you should click on the kitchen logo directly after having confirmed the order. Otherwise the customer at home will see the ETA of his order increase even though you are already preparing his order. Example 9: Foodtracker The software estimates when the order should be prepared and delivered. The order will become red on your screen and a sound will warn you if you take too long to change the status. When you click on On the Way, we send a text message to notify the customer. The message informs the customer that the order is on the way and gives an estimated time of arrival. This service is totally free for you and your customers. 7

2.5 Change delivery time If you click on change time this screen will appear. Use the - and + signs to adjust the time. Important : you must advise the customers of any changes. They will not receive an automatic message. You will get a notification if you change the ETA of an order which is supposed to be in the kitchen or on the way. Example 10: Alter orders 8

3. Cash register (input order) In addition to the orders you receive through Takeaway.com, you can enter your own orders. As mentioned above, no commission will be charged for these orders. It is very useful to have all your orders stored in the same place. You can for example view a graphic of your turnover per week/month/year. The data can also be exported to an Excel file thanks to the e-mail address you provide. See part 5.5. 3.1 Customer data Example 11 shows how to enter a new order. Click on the text fields and enter the required information. The enter-button works in the same way as the ok button. Click on the next button to go to the next text field. Not all of the fields need to be filled in, just the information that you need to have to successfully prepare and deliver the order. You can just use it to find a customer or just fill in a name. We advise you to always type in a name as to enables you to find existing customers fast. Example 11: Enter a new order 3.2 Categories After entering the customer s details you can enter the order. You can select the different items of your menu by clicking one of the categories (in this guide we selected Main Courses). In your T-Connect, the categories and items of your menu will appear just as they are stored in our system Example 12: Choose a category 9

3.3 Products By clicking on a category you can choose which item you wish to select. For example, Garlic Bread Example 13: Choose the item The amount button lets you select the amount of this item you wish to add to this order. In our example we have selected one Garlic Bread. Example 14: Choose the amount 3.4 Menu synchronizing It is possible to reload the menu. You can use this button when the menu shows incorrect tariffs or when the tariffs had not been adapted. Example 14: Choose the amount 10

3.5 Checkout When you have entered the order a check out screen will appear. First the whole order will be displayed in a list, and then you can check out by selecting place order. In the remarks field you can write a comment like in our example Extra spicy please. By clicking on the red cross you can delete the order. If you click on the order itself, you can change the number of products previously selected. When you have checked the order, written a comment and selected a delivery time you may click on place order. As soon as you have done that this screen will appear. The order is now in the order list. You can also choose to print the order and add delivery costs. For orders placed trough Takeaway. com these costs will already be added. Example 15: Checkout 3.6 Printing roadmap It is possible to print the roadmap from the restaurant to the deliveringadres. Click order and choose the tab routeplanner. In the bottom you see the option Print. The roadmap will be saved in your documents. Then open the roadmap via your documents and choose print. In case of a technical problem our call center or IT department may ask you which version of T-Connect is installed on your computer. The system performs automatic updates (you don t have to do them). 13

5.3 Settings -> Product Management. This tab enables you to change the prices of items on your menu or to hide a product if it is out of stock. Please allow a few minutes for these changes to appear on takeaway.com In this section you can also specify whether prices for pick up orders are different. Beware! This feature is not linked to takeaway.com. A change of price for pick up and/or VAT will not affect your menu on takeaway.com this is purely for your internal use only. 5.4 Settings -> Delivery times Example 19: Product Management Under the tab opening hours you will find an overview of the delivery times. Important! On takeaway.com we don t show any opening hours for pick up! If you change your hours on this screen then you will also appear open for delivery on the website. In the example below the test restaurant is open for delivery 7 days a week at different times. The exceptions button enables you to add exceptions. This images show how it is possible to extend the delivery time at Tuesday until for example 11:00 pm. Always closed on one day Example 20: Delivery times If you are closed one day per week (For Example every Monday) you can also make this change and make sure that it is for each week and not just a onetime event. Customers who have placed an order on Pizza. co.uk will then be able to see the position of the delivery man (picture of a scooter) up to their front door. You can also link the GPS tracker to orders. Customers who have placed an order on takeaway. com will then be able to see the position of the delivery man (picture of a scooter) up to their front door.
