Flexible Project Archiving and Detaching GroupShare 2015 adds a new feature for project managers that handle a large number of projects. Users with Delete Project permission can also remove a project entirely from the GroupSharedatabaseandstoreitasapackageinasetlocationbyusingthenewdetaching feature. Assignment functionality added to REST API The GroupShare REST API has been extended to offer functionality around assignment. YoucannowassignfilestoGroupShareusersthroughtheAPIwithouttheneedofusing SDL Trados Studio manually to perform assignments. Chapter 10 Upgrading to GroupShare 2015 Upgrading from GroupShare 2011 to SDL Studio GroupShare 2015 21

Upgrading to GroupShare 2015 GroupShare 2015 These are some things to take note of when performing the upgrade from GroupShare 2011 to GroupShare 2015. Prerequisites Before upgrading to GroupShare 2015, make sure that your GroupShare 2011 version is using Cumulative Update patch 3(or higher). Deprecated roles When you upgrade from GroupShare 2011 to GroupShare 2015, your existing roles and permissions are updated with new roles and permissions introduced in GroupShare 2014. The standard MultiTerm roles are no longer available. This is because GroupShare 2014givesMultiTermaccesstoalltheuserswhoaremembersofaGroupSharerole. However, the level of access to MultiTerm termbases is still controlled by the permissions granted in MultiTerm Administrator. Extra permissions GroupShare updates the standard and custom roles available for 2011 projects with the View All Files and the View Other Users permission. These cover the functionality oftheoldviewprojectandviewuserpermissionsandallowsdltradosstudio users with these permissions access to the required project data when opening 2011 projects in SDL Trados Studio 2014 and later. Migrated projects While we recommend that you complete any existing 2011 projects before upgrading, 2011 projects are automatically migrated to GroupShare 2015. These projects will not have GroupShare assignment functionality when used in GroupShare 2014 and later. Adding assignment functionality You can add GroupShare assignment functionality to GroupShare 2011 projects at any time, by opening the projects in SDL Trados Studio and creating assignments for the 2011 project files. However, if you then still have users working with SDL Trados Studio 2011, grant them View All Files permission. 22 SDL Studio GroupShare 2015

Upgrading to GroupShare 2015 Upgrading from GroupShare 2014 to GroupShare 2015 Installing GroupShare 2015 upgrades any existing GroupShare 2014 installation. However, GroupShare remembers all your projects, resources and settings when you migrate from any older version of GroupShare to GroupShare 2015. SDL Studio GroupShare 2015 23
