Quick Reference Guide Command Center Screen Overview Site Tree Icon Descriptions Command Center Screen Elements Command Center Toolbar Notes Store Group File Server Store Detail Information Site Master Terminal Find/Search Reports Warning Terminal Site Time Lock Workstation Alerts Options Critical Terminal Is Disconnected Tasks Contact Us

Screen Element Descriptions Site Tree Displays the group of sites for a selected company, as well as any active computers for the site, in a tree directory format. Use the Edit Group function to customize the site tree structure. In addition to using the toolbar options, you can right-click the site name or a specific computer, to view statuses and perform many of the toolbar actions. Note: Refer to the legend on page 1, for site tree icon descriptions. Command Center Toolbar Enables you to perform the common queries, functions, and security features used to support a company. Each toolbar function is described later in this guide. Store Manager Detail Screen Provides valuable information about the store, BOH file server, and terminals at the store. You can view the store location, hardware specifications, data storage capacity, and much more. You must be on the Store Manager screen to view store detail. The store detail also shows the last time a site was able to connect to the server and obtain vital data. Note: A computer with Windows 98 OS is not supported, and appears as a disconnected terminal. Find/Search Locates a specific store by site name, key number, or the unit ID as defined in Aloha Manager. You can also select All as a valid search option. Site Time Indicates the current time for the selected site. The time reflects the correct time zone where the site is physically located. This helps to determine if it is an appropriate time to perform certain actions at the site. Alerts Notifies you of potential situations that may require your attention. The alerts list, which appears in the Alerts window on the Store Manager Details screen, also helps to keep companies compliant with certain data security standards. Below are the common tasks you can perform with alerts. Refer to Managing System Options for more information about setting up alerts. With alerts, you can: Filter alerts by store, or show alerts for all stores. Double-click an alert, and the system highlights the corresponding site where the affected computer resides. Right-click an alert to perform an auto-fix, manually refresh the Alert window, or hide the alert, when applicable. When you hide an alert, you no longer receive warnings for the alert. To redisplay a hidden alert, access Options > Alerts tab and select Show All. Select Alert Map to find the physical site where the alert is located. To return to the Store Manager Detail screen, click. Request customized alerts for the following alert types: registry settings,.ini settings, files present or missing, services installed or not installed. Contact Command Center Support to request a custom alert. Tasks Displays a list of queries and commands performed. A status of the task appears, to indicate if the task is pending or complete. You can sort the tasks by column and double-click a task to view results. You can also right-click to cancel a pending task. Notes Stores each action performed in the system. Notes are stored in the Command Center database and Audit report. You can copy and paste notes into another file, or call-tracking system. You can also use custom, or Quick Text, to increase efficiency. Use Clear History to clear the Notes window; however, the notes do not clear from the database. Info Provides links to very helpful information, such as the release notes and license agreement, the Quick Service and Table Service online Help, the Command Center Quick Reference Guide, the Radiant Learning Center, and Radiant Systems Web sites. Reports Generates the Audit report by company or store, which displays all actions performed, and the user that performed each action. You can also generate a serial number report for all Radiant hardware devices, sorted by site or by serial number. When you are viewing a report, use the Find button to quickly locate serial numbers. Also, you can add comments to any report using the Annotations button, and then print the report along with the comments. You can also export the report to PDF format, if needed. Lock Workstation Locks the Command Center client workstation. If the computer keyboard and mouse are inactive for 10 minutes, the system automatically locks, and you must use your password/securid to regain access. Options Enables you to define user preferences for unit ID or key number display options, alert display options, and more. Contact Us Enables you to report an issue with the Command Center support team. You can indicate the affected store and provide contact information, as well as a brief explanation of the issue. Note: You can also contact support from the Command Center Login screen, or email support at: commandcenter.support@radiantsystems.com. 2

Command Center Toolbar Options If you perform a toolbar function while a site name is selected in the site tree, the function occurs on the BOH file server and all terminals at the site, as long as the function is applicable to both types of computers. Additionally, you can click Hide on a function dialog box while it processes, if you need to perform additional functions at the same time. Each function, along with its status, appears in the Tasks section. Display Mode Switches the site tree view to show only store groups, store groups and individual stores, or all store groups, stores, and devices in the tree. Configure Site Tree Organizes the group structure that appears in the site tree, for a specific company. Changes made to the site tree are viewable by all users for that company. See Managing Sites for more information. Store Manager/File Manager/Deploy Manager Provides access to three separate function screens: Store Manager is the default screen that appears when you first access Command Center. The Store Manager screen displays vital data about the terminals and file servers at a site. File Manager enables you view, edit, and transfer files between your computer and a computer at a remote site. You can view and transfer files up to 50 MB, and you can edit files up to 2 MB. The system automatically zips and unzips transported folders. See Managing Remote Files for more information. Deploy Manager enables you to schedule and run POS installations and upgrades for one or more remote sites. You can also install any pre- or post-installation applications, and deploy executable files silently, using the same scheduling and rollout process. See the Deployment Quick Reference Guide for more information. Query Tasks Displays all tasks currently running on the selected computer, in the Task Manager dialog box. Doubleclick a completed query view the task list. Right-click a task to stop, or kill the task. Note: You must perform a new query to obtain an updated list. Query Services Displays all services currently running on the selected computer, in the Services dialog box. Use this function to view the status of a service, and right-click to start, stop, or restart a service. Note: You must perform a new query to obtain an updated list. Query Programs Displays all applications and security updates currently installed on the selected computer. Note: You must perform a new query to obtain an updated list. Capture Screenshot Captures a picture of the current screen. Use this function to view exactly what appears on the computer, when providing support to a customer. If a screen capture is white, it indicates there is no available image on the computer. Query Environment Displays all environment variables defined for the selected computer, in the Environment dialog box. You can also copy the environment variables to the clipboard and paste where needed, such as in an email or.txt file. Note: If you use the Ibercfg.bat file to override environment variables, use the File Manager screen to retrieve and view environment variables for the computer. Generate DIAG Compiles the diagnostic files needed to research an issue, using the Aloha DIAG process. The files appear in a WinZip dialog box. You can extract the Zip files to your computer, or double-click the completed Generate Diag task, to view the Zip files. You can generate a DIAG for Aloha POS, Aloha Configuration Center, or Aloha Takeout. Note: You can perform this task on the BOH file server only. 3 Electronic Journal Generates an electronic view of the Trans.log for the selected BOH server. You can sort the journal by column, and double-click a specific transaction for a more detailed view. Record Activity Captures a video clip of the current screen activity. Use this function to view exactly what occurs on the selected computer, when providing support to a customer. You can record up to 99 seconds of activity on the computer. Note: The recording saves in.avi format. Run Command Displays the MS-DOS command prompt window. Use this function to type and run MS-DOS commands. The system retains a list of up to 20 of your most recent commands, for the current session only. If needed, you can clear the command history while in the current session. Send Message Sends a message directly to a computer at the site. Each new message a site receives stacks above the previous message. Close All Messages Closes all messages that were sent to a remote computer through the Send Message function. Refresh Terminals Performs a system refresh in Aloha Manager. Use this function to copy the \Newdata directory to \Data and update the FOH terminals at the selected site. Note: You must select a BOH file server, or site, to perform this task. Important: This causes all terminals at the site to reboot. You can view the current time at the site, in the lower right corner of the Command Center screen, to help determine if it is an appropriate time to refresh the system. Reboot Forces the selected remote computer to reboot. Aloha Manager Remote Login Launches Aloha Manager using multi-factored Command Center credentials. Use this function as an alternative to the previous Alt+X login functionality. You can launch Aloha Manager and be granted the same level of access Alt+X provided. When you log in using remote login, you must remain active on the remote computer or the system will log you out after 60 seconds. The Debout.txt file displays Dealer Password to represent the login for POS versions earlier than v6.2. For POS v6.3 and later, the file displays the name of the person who logged in. Aloha EDC Remote Login Launches the Aloha Electronic Data Capture (EDC) application using the same Command Center credentials used for Aloha Manager remote login. Note: This option is available in POS v6.3 and later. Change Aloha MGR Password Enables you to change the Aloha Manager password for a user at the selected site. Change Windows Password Enables you to change the Windows password for the selected computer. Note: You must know the current user name and password. Lock Workstation Locks the selected BOH file server. VNC Establishes a secure virtual network computing (VNC) session with the selected computer. Use this function to perform support tasks on a remote computer. Log in with the applicable user name and password credentials, and use the VNC toolbar options to manage your connection with the remote computer.
