How to open Remote Desktop Connection and Login to the Terminal Server 1. Click Start or your Windows icon 2. In the search window mstsc 3. In the new window that opens set the computer name to CaseMap Remote Desktop be following these steps 4. In Computer, enter the name provided to you for your project manager i.e. xx.discovia.com 5. Click Connect 6. You may get the following windows pop-up. Click Connect 7. Enter your Username and Password. You can select Remember my credentials, to get in quicker the next time. 8. Note if another name is entered click Use Another account and enter your Username and Password that was provided. 9. You may get the following windows pop-up. Check Don t ask me again for connections to this computer, then Click Yes 2 P a g e

How to save your connection settings and create a shortcut on your desktop 1. Repeat steps 1 through 6 from above 2. Click on Options 3. In the General Tab verify your login information is correct 4. Check the Allow me to save credentials box 5. Under Connection settings section Click Save As 6. A Save As window will appear 7. Browse to your Desktop or wherever you would like to save the connection. In this example, shown below we are saving the connection settings file to our desktop. 4 P a g e
8. Name the file as CaseMap Remote Desktop.rdp or something that will be easy to identify later and Click Save 9. Now you should be able to double-click on the CaseMap Remote Desktop.rdp, it will ask you for your password one more time; be sure to check Remember My Credentials then hit ok. Now every time you launch RDP using this shortcut, you will be automatically logged in. 5 P a g e
How to change or edit your saved connection settings. Changing the resolution of your connection 1. Right mouse click on the CaseMap Remote Desktop file on your desktop and select Edit as shown below. 2. In Remote Desktop Connection click the Display tab 3. Set to the specific resolution or set to Full Screen by dragging the slider all the way to the right 4. Click Connect 5. To save your new settings click back on General and click Save. How to add local resources drives and printers To add access to your local computers drives follow these instructions. 1. Right mouse click on the CaseMap Remote Desktop file on your desktop and select Edit as shown below. 6 P a g e
2. Click the Local Resources tab 3. Here you can select your local printer and by clicking the option More add your local drives 4. Once the new window opens as shown below either click the plus symbol to select certain drives or simply select the check box for all drives as shown below followed by Ok 5.
