2 MOVIPRO SDC/ADC Compact controller, powerful performance Many areas of mobile and stationary materials handling technology require compact, vibration-resistant systems that combine drive electronics with intelligence and ensure a high degree of flexibility. SEW-EURODRIVE offers a complete drive solution for such decentralized installation tasks: the new MOVIPRO SDC/ADC drive, position, and application controller. MOVIPRO SDC/ADC offers limitless communication as it supports all common fi eldbus systems. The decentralized drive and position controller lets you install autonomous drive sectors that can be networked with one another via bus systems. 4 Areas of application Control, deceleration, and coordination Each materials handling application requires a tailor-made drive concept based on the necessary load-bearing capacity, conveying speed or positioning, or the available space and special ambient conditions. 1

Free programming according to IEC 61131-3 and PLCopen of the MOVIPRO ADC controller type lets users fl exibly implement plant-specifi c or complex functions, such as multi-axis synchronization or local coordination of several actuators and sensors. More complex safety functions with MOVIPRO ADC Energy management with MOVIPRO ADC The functions SLS (Safety Limited Speed) as well as safe brake control (SBC) are integrated as an option to be able to meet the requirements of the new Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC for machine and plant safety. Vertical lifting applications are partly operated in regenerative mode. This energy can be reused when employing the regeneration option and in this way contributes to reducing the TCO costs.
