Taxpayer Enhancements: 1. Authentication for Business Returns and K-1 Distribution: To enhance security for business returns and K-1 distribution, we have removed the need for the recipients to enter the First / Last four digits of their SSN / EIN and replaced it with a one-time expiring access code. Business Returns: 1. The recipient will receive the email notification that their return is ready for review. Clicking the link will redirect them to your company landing page and they will be prompted to enter an access code: 2. An email will be sent with the access code for them to enter and continue. Staff / Processing Enhancements: 1. Saved Messages: You can create Saved Messages to taxpayers and select from a drop-down list in Delivery Options. 1. Login as a Systems Administrator and select Settings Saved Message 2. Select New 3. In the Save Saved Message dialog, enter the message name. After messages have been added, you can modify them, set a default message and allow users to edit the message before sending. 1. Login as a Systems Admin and go to Settings Saved Messages 2. Saved messages are displayed in a list 3. Edit, Add or Delete Saved Message 4. Select the default message from the drop-down list 5. In delivery options, your staff will no see the default message, be able to select Saved Messages from a drop down list, and edit them before sending. 1. Open a return and go to Delivery Options 2. Select Saved Message from the drop-down list 3. Edit before sending 2. Recall a Return: If a return has been delivered but needs to be corrected, it can be recalled for correction. 1. Go to the Delivered Returns report 2. Select Actions 3. Select Recall Return 4. Select the OK in the confirmation pop-up dialog (800) 716-2558 x 202 4
The return will be recalled for correction and the following will occur: 1. Taxpayer Notification: The taxpayer will receive an email notification that the tax return was recalled for correction. It will instruct them to disregard the prior email notification and that the link has been deactivated. It will instruct them that they will receive another email when the corrected return is ready for their review: 2. Return Moved to Assignments: The return will be moved from the Delivered Returns report and will now appear in Assignments with a status of Recalled (800) 716-2558 x 202 5
3. Resubmit: From the All Assignments or My Assignments report, select Actions Upload Corrected Return. 4. Upload Corrected PDF file: In the Submit dialog window, upload the corrected return, select the ERO / Signer and Submit for processing. 5. Process the return as through normal processing and deliver when completed. 3. Text Change Partner to ERO / Signer Throughout the program we have changed the text of Partner to ERO / Signer. There is no change to the functionality of the now ERO / Signer group.
