As an RA, I have been working on projects supported by ARO and NSF. I have 35 papers published/accepted in the following areas: Resource Optimization in Networks, Smart Grid, and Cloud Computing, Incentive Mechanism Design, Network Security and Privacy. Many of my papers are in top journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Networking (TON), IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing (TMC), IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications (JSAC), IEEE Transactions on Computers (TC), and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (TVT), and prestigious conferences, such as MOBICOM, MOBIHOC, INFOCOM, and ICNP. The rest are in major conferences, such as SECON, MASS, ICC, and GLOBECOM. As a TA, I assisted the professor by grading homework, holding office hours, invigilating exams, and giving lectures when the professor is on travel. Besides being RA and TA, I also mentored an REU (NSF Research Experience for Undergraduate) student in implementing scheduling algorithms for wireless transmission links. I have been a participant of the Preparing Future Faculty program at ASU, which is a national program designed to better prepare graduate students for the multiple roles they may be asked to assume as future faculty members in a variety of academic institutions.
