Step 1 Installing the Citrix Receiver 1. Launch a web browser, such as Safari, and go to the address http://fuanyware.furman.edu 2. Click Mac Citrix Download from the left hand menu. 3. Click Download to proceed.

4. Type in your Furman email address, it will direct you to the login page. 5. Type in your Furman username and password. The download will begin.

6. Double click CitrixReceiver.dmg in your download manager in the bottom right hand corner. 7. When the Citrix Receiver window popups up choose Install Citrix Receiver.

8. Click Continue 9. Click Continue

10. Read the license agreement and click Continue to proceed. 11. You must Agree to continue with the installation.

12. Click Install to continue. 13. Type fuapps.furman.edu into the blank and click Add *DO NOT ENTER YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS*

14. Click Yes to continue. 15. Username = FU\YOURUSERNAME (type in your personal username) Password = Your Furman Password a. You will now see a blank screen that directs you to click on the left hand + sign to Add your Favorite Apps. i. Click the + sign ii. Click All Applications iii. Click the name of the application you need to install.

b. An icon will appear on your Citrix desktop that corresponds with the application you chose above. Double click the icon to launch the software. *Note you may need to repeat this step if you are going to be using more than 1 program. 2. You are now done with the installation and configuration. Please continue to Step 3, connecting to your virtual flash drive. * This is done on your computer, outside of the Citrix Software* Step 3 Connecting to Virtual Flash Drive (H-drive) *On-Campus only, if you are off campus skip to step 5. 1. From the finder choose Preferences

2. In the preferences check the option for Connected Servers and close the preferences. 3. From the finder choose Go -> Connect to Server

4. On the Connect to Server screen enter the following information in the Server Address field, click the plus button to save the connection, then click Connect. a. smb://your Personal Furman Username:*@flash.fu.campus/Your Personal Furman Username smb://netid:*@flash.fu.campus/netid Smb://flash/YourNetID 5. Enter the following information on the login window: a. Name = FU\Your Personal Furman Username b. Password = Your standard Furman password 6. Click Connect, and your computer will open your H-drive in a new window.

Step 4 Using the Citrix Receiver 1. To login in the future do the following: a. Launch the Citrix Receiver application installed on your computer. b. Login as FU\Your Personal Furman Username and your Password c. Double click icons on the desktop to launch the software. 2. If you need to save your work, make sure you choose the default save location or a USB drive. The Save location will default to Documents which is the correct location. DO NOT SAVE ANY FILES TO THE C DRIVE, OR ANY LOCATION OTHER THAN WHAT IS CHOSEN OR A USB DRIVE. 3. Opening Saved Files If you have files stored on your local computer, or inside of Moodle that you need to open in your software you will need to save these files in either your H- drive (Step 1) or on a USB drive. Your software will be able to open files saved in either of these locations. 4. To print, go to file -> print. You will have the following options: a. The default print option is the lab printer queue. If you print to the default printer you can retrieve your job by swiping your Pala Card at any lab print release station.

b. Print to a PDF (If you print to a PDF make sure you save the file on your G, H, or personal USB Drive. Also, note that the print window may open behind your running application. Click or minimize the application to see the print window.) c. Local Printers Printers that are locally connected to your computer will appear here as options. You may print to those printers. d. You can also print later by saving the file now, and access it from the saved location. Step 5 Logging Out of the Citrix Receiver 1. Logging Out a. When you are done with your session, it is important to fully logout. b. Save your work before you log out! c. Exit the software. File -> Exit d. Next, logout of the Citrix Receiver. Use the drop down arrow in the upper middle next to your name, and chose Log Off.
