Conemaugh Health System Citrix Receiver for IPad set up guide (rev 7 9 12) This intent of this guide is to enable authorized CHS information system users to self configure their personal ipad/iphone/itouch device for Citrix based access to the Conemaugh Health System network. These instructions assume that the user has an itunes account and knows how to access the Apple itunes store and install apps. Internet access is required in order to execute this setup. Please note that users are personally responsible for all data access charges that may be imposed by their wireless carrier for connecting to the Internet and Conemaugh network. We recommend using WiFi where possible as Citrix can be data usage intensive. We also recommend making a backup of your device settings before attempting to setup Citrix. CHS is not responsible for any data loss or damages caused during this process. Important Note: All Conemaugh physicians with a CarePortal logon have been granted Citrix access in advance. Physicians only need to contact MIS Helpdesk if you need setup assistance or if you do not know your Conemaugh network id and/or network password. All other users must be approved and set up by the CHS MIS department for Citrix access BEFORE the following instructions will work. Step #1 Locate Citrix Receiver Client on itunes Store On the IPhone/ IPad/ITouch, Go to the ITunes store and search for Citrix Receiver. The Citrix Receiver Client is a free app. You should not be asked to purchase anything. 1
Step #2 Select and Install Citrix Receiver for ipad it may take several minutes to install Step #3 Open Receiver Client on Tablet 2
Step #4 Select Add Account option when Citrix Receiver Welcome screen displays 3
Step #5 Enter the following address in the New Account Address box and then press Next: https://citrix.conemaugh.org/citrix/pnagent2/config.xml 4
Step #6 Enter Domain, Username, and Password in the Store Verified box and then press Save: Note: Address and Description will display Verified as below if step #5 completed correctly Username: Enter your CHS Username (same id as Conemaugh.org email id) where XXXXXXX appears below Password: Enter CHS network password where ZZZZZZ appears below. Your CHS network password is the same as your Conemaugh.org email password. Domain: Conemaugh.org 5
Step #7 Select desired applications for your personalized Citrix Desktop Home: The Citrix Receiver will open the Conemaugh App List. The specific applications that you are interested in should be displayed among a full list of applications that can be run via Citrix. To select an application that you want added on your Citrix Home page, press the Apps tab and then press the star symbol to the right of the application name and an Add Favorite option will display. Press this and the icon will be added to your Citrix Receiver desktop. Step #8 Select applications to run: Your one time installation tasks are complete and you are ready to run Citrix based applications. To launch an application via Citrix, press the icon from your Citrix Receiver page. Once the application launches (about 10 seconds), you will be presented with a user logon screen just like you see when accessing the application in non Citrix mode. 6
Attention Care Portal users: MIS has validated that all Care Portal functions and related applications are supported via Citrix. Since the IPad lacks a mouse, you will need to use of gestures to imitate mouse and keyboard key commands. The use of an IPad compatible stylus is highly recommended. There is also a Help option which contains important information on how to navigation with in applications running from Citrix. Since there is no mouse, gestures must be used to do the normal functions you would use a mouse for. Please review these functions! They are very helpful in using applications on the ipad/iphone.
