General information On the sync progress screen the general information listed includes the aircraft tail number being synced, the pilot name as entered into BFD in the pilot name field, a battery meter, Zulu time and a Wi- Fi meter. 1. The aircraft tail number for the aircraft currently being synced. 2. The pilot name, as entered into BFD in the pilot name field on the BFD settings page. 3. A battery meter. 4. Zulu time. 5. Sync progress information The sync progress information on the new sync screen includes a progress bar, the percentage complete, the estimated time to complete the sync, the file currently being downloaded and the number of files remaining / total downloaded for the current aircraft. 1. ipad disk usage information There are several disk usage indicators including, a listing for the library sizes and the total data size for the app, the free disk space on the ipad and the total disk space on the ipad. 1. The size of the Fleet folder. 2. The size of the Aircraft folder. 3. The size of the Type folder. 4. The size of the Publications folder. 5. The size of the Active folder. 6. The new application menu The new application menu moves the application menu items from a static position on the top of the application frame to a slide in menu which gives a pilot a lot more space to select a feature or library. Revision 2.0 February 23, 2015 8 of 41

Open the application menu 1. The new menu may be opened by tapping the menu icon on the top left of the application frame. 2. The new menu may also be opened by sliding one finger in from the left of the application frame. Revision 2.0 February 23, 2015 9 of 41

Select a feature A turbulence tolerant menu that uses a tap, hold and slide gesture, has been implemented on the features menu which allows a pilot to touch, hold and slide a finger to select a feature on the new application menu. This gesture will select the feature highlighted when the pilot removes their finger from the ipad screen, which makes it much easier to select an option during turbulence. Switch your aircraft If you have more than one aircraft assigned to your ipad you can switch the aircraft on your ipad by touching and holding the aircraft library button. You can then select the aircraft from the scrollable list of aircraft by tapping an aircraft in the list. Revision 2.0 February 23, 2015 11 of 41

The new Tools page The tools page has been re-organized to give the page a more flight deck oriented look. The tools page retains all of the previous tools page functionality and adds a function to log out of evernote. Log out of evernote If a pilot has logged into their Evernote account to upload a document the LOGOUT EVERNOTE button on the tools page will be activated. Close all tabs The close all tabs button closes all open document tabs. 1. Tap the CLOSE ALL TABS button to close all opened document tabs. 2. Tap Yes to continue and close all open document tabs. Revision 2.0 February 23, 2015 17 of 41

Close the tools page Tap the CLOSE TOOLS button to close the tools page. Switch your aircraft Scroll through the list of aircraft, select the aircraft you will be flying and tap the SWITCH AIRCRAFT button. Revision 2.0 February 23, 2015 18 of 41

Open the settings page Tap the SETTINGS button to open the settings page. Build the library search database To allow a search in a library for the selected aircraft the library search index database must be built. 1. Tap the BUILD SEARCH button to build the library search index database. 2. When prompted with the warning message, tap YES to continue or NO to cancel the operation. 3. A progress message is displayed showing the file being indexed. Once the search library index has been built the progress message will close. 4. Tap the CLOSE TOOLS button to close the Tools page. Revision 2.0 February 23, 2015 20 of 41

Erase the contents of your Active folder Inbox When you share a file from another ipad app to Bombardier Flight Deck a copy of the file is saved into the selected aircraft s Active folder Inbox. These files may be removed by erasing the content of your Inbox. Note: Nothing on the server is changed so a subsequent sync will replace the files that were placed on the server in your aircraft s active folder Inbox. 1. Tap the ERASE INBOX button to remove all files from the selected aircraft s active folder Inbox. 2. When prompted tap Yes to continue or No to cancel the operation. 3. If you tapped Yes, a notification message will be displayed after the Inbox has been erased. 4. Tap Ok to close the notification message. 5. Tap the CLOSE TOOLS button to close the Tools page. Remove your account data If you suspect you have corrupted files and wish to sync a clean copy of all files onto your ipad you may remove all of the app data by using the Wipe Account tab. 1. Tap the Wipe Account tab. 2. When prompted tap YES to continue or NO to cancel the operation. 3. If you tapped YES in the previous step you will be prompted a second time, if you wish to continue tap YES, tap NO to cancel the operation. 4. Once the data removal operation is complete a notification message will be displayed, tap Ok to exit the notification message. Note: You can now reload your data by syncing all aircraft. Erase your ipad sync reports 1. Tap the Erase Reports tab to erase the sync reports on your ipad. This will remove the list of sync reports for the selected aircraft. 2. When you are prompted, tap YES to continue and erase the ipad sync reports for the selected aircraft, tap NO to cancel the operation. 3. Tap the CLOSE TOOLS button to close the Tools page. Open the new PDF document menu The new PDF document menu moves the features selection onto a grid control. Tap the grid icon to open the PDF menu. On the grid menu swiping to the right will open page two of the grid swiping to the left will return to page one of the grid. Changing the PDF document menu to a grid style menu now allows us to add new features to the PDF control in the future. Document favorites Open the favorites page from the main menu Tap the favorites icon. The favorite s page will open and display a list of all favorites. Revision 2.0 February 23, 2015 25 of 41

Open the favorites page from within a document 1. On the PDF menu a favorite may be added or the favorites page opened by tapping the quick select Favorites button on the top right of the menu. If the star is white no favorite for the page has been added and a message prompting you to, add a favorite, show favorites, or cancel will be shown, tap Show favorites to open the favorites page without adding the current document to favorites. If the star is yellow a favorite has been previously added for the selected page and tapping the star will open the favorites page. Revision 2.0 February 23, 2015 26 of 41

Add a page to favorites If a page has not already been added to favorites tap the Add favorite item to add the document page to the favorites page. Set the properties of the favorite as shown below. 1. Type in the name of your favorite. 2. Adjust the page of the favorite using the - / + controls. 3. Set the background colour of the favorite. 4. Upload documents to Evernote A pilot may now upload annotated pages into their Evernote account and then have access to the uploaded notes on any device they have Evernote installed on. 1. Enable night mode from the main menu A new night mode setting has been added to the application to allow a pilot to set the background of the app to Night mode 1. Touch the Menu icon in the top left corner of Flight Deck to open the main application menu alternately you may swipe from the left to open the main application menu. 2. New app settings Turn the new application menu on or off The setting, New Menu, toogles the application between the new menu and the menu from BFD 1.99.6, this feature is turned on by default. When the setting is turned on the application displays the new application menu in Bombardier Flight Deck 2.0. When the setting is turned off the application will display the same menu used in version 1.99.6 of the application. Revision 2.0 February 23, 2015 35 of 41

Turn the new tools page on or off The setting, New tools, toogles the application between the new tools page and the tools page from BFD 1.99.6 this setting is turned on by default. When the setting is turned on the application displays the new application tools page. When the setting is turned off the application will display the tools page displayed in version 1.99.6 of the application. Revision 2.0 February 23, 2015 36 of 41

Send notifications on upload The setting Send notification on upload sends a notification to your fleet manager when a file is uploaded to the server. This setting is off by default. When this setting is turned on any file uploaded to the cloud will generate a notification email sent your fleet manager. Enable night mode The setting Enable night mode enables the BFD night mode. This setting is off by default. When enable night mode is set to on the app will change all views other than the document view to night mode. Revision 2.0 February 23, 2015 37 of 41

Auto close the sync screen The setting Auto close the sync screen is off by default to allow the information on the sync screen to be read before closing the sync screen with the close button. When this setting is turned on the sync screen will automatically close when the sync is completed. Show last viewed document The setting Show last viewed document is Off by default. If the setting is turned on when the application is opened the last document viewed in the app before it was closed will open with the application. Revision 2.0 February 23, 2015 38 of 41

Other Changes New movable tabs Document tabs may be reordered using a touch and hold gesture. 1. Touch and hold the document tab. 2. Drag the tab to place it in the position you wish it to occupy. 3. Improvements in the Annotation feature When in either annotation mode or text annotation mode a new button on the main document menu will allow you to close the annotation mode and return to read mode. New library navigation Top button A new Top button has been added to allow navigation back to the root folder of a library from any folder within the library. You may now return to the root of the selected library with a single tap of the Top button. 1. Navigate to any folder in a library. 2. New memory management The application has been refactored to use Apple ARC memory management, providing a more stable and robust memory management, resulting in less likelihood of a crash when used with other applications that are memory hogs such as Jeppesen FD. New publications support for the CRJ and Q series aircraft We have added support for the CRJ, and Q series manuals in version 2.0 of the application.
