Introduction We are delighted to introduce our new Mobile Credit Card Processing system called Go2Pay. This new app is provided by our long term mobile payment provider, Adelante. The system will allow Organisers to take payments for individual customer transactions at an event (and remotely) using a simple app, downloaded to their mobile phone. Within this user guide you will find information on how to access/download the app, user guides for specific phone types (iphone, Android etc) as well as information on how to match payments against orders in Online Services. Technical Support Any technical queries regarding setting it up on your phone should be directed to Adelante s dedicated technical support line: 01628 820611 (Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17.30 hours) 1

FAQs Q. What are the benefits of the Go2Pay system? A. There are many benefits to this new system: You can take instant credit and debit card payments anywhere. Go2Pay is incredibly secure. Customers input their own credit/debit card details without having to share them with you better for you and them Payment requests are sent by SMS text to customers, meaning that they do not have to be at the event with you - perfect for remote payments for virtual / facebook party customers Card details are encrypted at the point of entry, which means they disappear from sight as soon as they are entered Transactions are authorised (or refused) on the spot, so you know you have been paid immediately You can automatically email receipts to customers at the point of payment (currently iphone and Android versions) Fully integrated with Online Services so that you can match payments against orders Q. What sort of phone do I need? A. The system works with most Internet enabled mobile phones. A full list of supported phones is included in this document. Q. How do I set up my account to get started? A. In order to activate your account you need to register a password. Please email your chosen password (8 to 20 characters and using no symbols) to mail@usbornebooksathome.co.uk (with the subject line Go2Pay ). Please also include your Organsier number and mobile number in the email for our reference. We will pass this on to Adelante who will register the password and activate your account. Once your password has been registered and your account is active we will email you to confirm. Download the relevant app for your phone. (See the appropriate user guide for your phone for instructions on how to download) Follow the setup instructions for your phone from the relevant user guide The Account Number which you need is 5707 (this is the Usborne Account) Your User Name is your Usborne Organiser Number Your Password is the one which you registered when activating your account (see above). 2

Q. How much does it cost? A. There are no set up costs and the app for your phone is FREE. There is a charge of 12p per transaction. But you can choose to pass that on to your customers if you wish. The setup instructions for your phone will show you how to add the transaction charge. Once you have set the charges they will apply to all transactions, you can switch the transaction charge on/off at any time by going into the default settings Q. Just how secure is Go2Pay? A. Go2Pay is a secure system which offered by Adelante Software Ltd, who are a level 1 PCI DSS service provider. This means their system meets the requirements of the UK Payment Card Industry for secure transactions. All data sent via your mobile phone is encrypted and the card details are not stored on the phone once the transaction is completed. Q. How do I process payments? A. Simply follow the Adelante User Guide for your phone to process payments. It works as follows: Enter the payment amount Add a reference of your choice, if required. (This could be the Host Name or School Name [for example] and will make it easier for you to find and match the payment in Online Services later on). Please do not use spaces or special characters (such as $) Add your customer s mobile phone number. Their phone does not need to be compatible with the Go2Pay app but will need to be internet-enabled (i.e. a smart phone) Send the payment for authorisation The customer enters their own card details securely on their own phone and payment confirmation is instant for them and you You will receive authorisation, including the authorisation code, on your phone within seconds. Q. What happens to those payments? A. Each successful payment is passed through to our Computer system every 30 minutes. When you log on to process your order in Online Services you will be able to use the Mobile payments to pay for part or all of the order. (See the page on Matching Mobile Payments to orders within Online Services for more information). 3

Q. How do I get the money if I don t have an order to enter? A. Mobile payments are only available to allocate against an order. They do not go straight to your Usborne account. However, we recognise that some Organisers run sell on the day events and may not have an order to enter following the event We will process any outstanding transactions more than 10 days old at the end of each month to include them in commission payments for that month Please note that outstanding transactions less than 10 days old will not be included in commissions for that month, as some Organisers may still have orders to enter relating to those transactions 4

Supported Phones Due to the fast moving nature of the Mobile Phone Market and the variety of different phones and networks available, it is very difficult to provide a conclusive list of phones that will work with the Go2Pay system. Below is for guide purposes only and the information cannot be guaranteed to be accurate. If you have a phone that you would like to test please contact the Adelante Helpdesk on 01628 820500. Contact Adelante to test your device Known issues Due to the increased variances within the Windows Phone market, Go2Pay does not currently support any Windows mobile phones Phones type Some Sony Ericsson Samsung LG Problem There is a problem with some phones where the maximum data entry field has been limited to 10 characters. Some standard Samsung mobiles have a problem recognising the security certificates required to authenticate payments. This does not affect Smart phones. Some LG mobiles have a problem recognising the security certificates required to authenticate payments. This does not affect Smart phones. If you are unsure about your own mobile phone and which of the above categories it falls into, you can log into a website www.gsmarena.com, at the top of the home page there s a quick search box, enter your mobile phone brand, and it will come up with all the specifications for that phone. If you scroll down to Features and look at the OS (Operating System), it will tell you if it s Android/Windows 7 etc and then you can refer back to the guidelines above). 5
