Cnstituent Page Upgrade Utility fr Blackbaud CRM In versin 4.0, we made several enhancements and added new features t cnstituent pages. We replaced the cnstituent summary with interactive summary tiles. Applicatin users can individually chse the tiles they want t view and rerder them t fit their wn needs. Many f these tiles include links, which make it easier t navigate t related tabs n the recrd r t ther related recrds and pages. Additinally, we intrduced a secnd tier f tabs, which allwed us t mve related tabs int grups. We als reduced the number f links n the left side f the page. Sme pages that yu previusly accessed frm Mre infrmatin r View as are nw tabs r grups f tabs n the cnstituent recrd. Fr mre infrmatin abut these cnstituent page and tab enhancements, review the Cnstituents sectin in the Blackbaud CRM 4.0 New Features Guide. What pages have mved? Many cnstituent pages have mved and will be checked by this utility. Custmizatins fr any f these pages will likely be impacted. If yu d nt want t use this utility, yu can mve the custmizatins manually instead. Hwever, the utility can save yu time. What des this utility d? The utility detects custmizatins and, when pssible, mves them t the apprpriate, cmparable lcatin. Fr example, all revenue-related infrmatin has been cnslidated n a single Revenue tab with multiple secnd-tier tabs n the cnstituent recrd. Prir t versin 4.0, if yu had a custmizatin n the Revenue Histry tab, the custmizatin will nw be mved t the new lcatin f the Revenue Histry secnd-tier tab n the Revenue tab. When the custmizatin cannt be mved autmatically, the custmizatin is skipped. Access t the SQL Server that yu use t access the database The Blackbaud CRM installatin must be upgraded t versin 4.0 r higher Where can I get this utility? Yu can access the utility frm the Blackbaud CRM Dwnlads page n the Blackbaud website. Hw d I use this utility? 1. Upgrade t Blackbaud CRM versin 4.0 r higher.
2. Save the utility t yur cmputer. Make sure yur cmputer has access t the SQL Server instance cntaining the Blackbaud CRM database. 3. Run the executable. The Cnstituent Page Upgrade Utility screen appears. 4. Enter the name f yur SQL Server instance. 5. Select yur database. 6. Enter an utput destinatin fr the lg file where the results will be stred.
7. Yu can click Detect Custmizatins t view a list f custmizatins the utility was able t detect. If yu knw yur custmizatins, yu can create a list and click Lad Selectin instead. 8. Mark the custmizatins yu want the utility t cpy t the upgraded cnstituent page. 9. Yu can click Save Selectin t save a file with the custmizatins yu have marked. Yu can use this file again later t cpy the specific list f yur custmizatins, including the nes yu have marked. Fr the purpses f testing the results f the utility in Blackbaud CRM, yu can save multiple versins f this list fr re-use. 10. Yu can click Lad Selectin t lad a previusly saved list f yur custmizatins, including the nes yu have marked. If yu click Detect Custmizatins again, the list will be refreshed and n custmizatins are selected. Hwever, if yu have saved a list, yu can re-lad it. 11. After yu mark the custmizatins yu want the utility t cpy t the upgraded cnstituent page, click Run. The utility checks fr custmizatins n the affected cnstituent pages. When pssible, it mves the custmizatins t apprpriate places n the upgraded cnstituent page. 12. Review the results. The results indicate which custmizatins were mved and where they were mved. They als indicate which custmizatins were skipped and why. 13. D any additinal steps that yu wuld nrmally d after yu update a custmizatin. Fr example, yu may need t refresh the shell navigatin. 14. T verify that the utility mved custmizatins in the way yu expected, access a cnstituent recrd in Blackbaud CRM. Explre the cnstituent s recrd t check the navigatin. Messages when yu run the utility When yu click the Run buttn: N sectins are marked t cpy. D yu want t cntinue? This message appears when yu click Run but yu have nt marked any sectins fr the utility t cpy. This means n sectins will be cpied ver t the upgraded cnstituent page. When yu click the Detect Custmizatins buttn: Please specify a database. This message appears when yu click Detect Custmizatins but yu have nt specified a database. The Blackbaud CRM database must be specified in rder t run the utility. This prcess may take a few minutes. This will clear yur current selectins. Cntinue? This message appears when yu click Detect Custmizatins. When yu click this buttn, the utility attempts t detect yur custmizatins. The list f custmizatins is refreshed s any custmizatins yu had previusly marked will need t be selected again. Yu can click Cancel

Incrrect number f clumns detected n line {0}. This message appears when yu click Lad Selectins but the file has an incrrect number f clumns n ne r mre rws, where {0} represents the number f the rw. Yu can check the file manually t make sure it cntains the exact infrmatin as described in the Saved List f Selected Custmizatins sectin f this dcument. Failed t parse the (first secnd third) clumn {0} n line {1}. The clumn was nt a GUID. This message appears when yu click Lad Selectins but the file has an invalid GUID in ne r mre rws, in ne r mre clumns. {0} represents the invalid GUID value fund in a clumn. {1} represents the rw with the invalid GUID value. Yu can check the file manually t make sure it cntains the exact infrmatin as described in the Saved List f Selected Custmizatins sectin f this dcument.
Saved List f Selected Custmizatins When yu save a list f the custmizatins yu want t cpy ver t the upgraded cnstituent recrd, it is saved in a *.CSV frmat. Yu can als create a list t use n yur wn; hwever, the list must meet these requirements. It must be a *.CSV file with a cmma as the separatr. Each rw must have exactly three clumns cntaining nly GUIDs. Each rw represents a single custmizatin sectin t be cpied ver t the upgraded cnstituent page. The first clumn is the ID f the page which cntains the custmizatin sectin t be cpied. The secnd clumn is the ID f the tab which cntains the custmizatin sectin t be cpied. The third clumn is the ID f the sectin t be cpied. Blank rws are ignred. The utility skipped my custmizatin. What shuld I d? The results indicate why the custmizatin was skipped. Yu can update the custmizatin t crrect the issue and re-run the utility. The utility detects custmizatins that were previusly skipped and, when pssible, mves them t the apprpriate places n the upgraded cnstituent page. ERROR: Summary sectin custmizatin SECTIONCAPTION (SECTIONID) Summary Sectin View Frm des nt have RECORDTYPE recrd type. In this case, the Summary Sectin View Frm did nt have the crrect recrd type in rder fr the utility t be able t mve it. The Vlunteer page must have the Vlunteer recrd type. The Patrn page must have the Patrn recrd type. The Bank page must have the Bank recrd type. All ther pages must have the Cnstituent recrd type. In this case, yu can change the recrd type f the custm summary sectin and re-run the utility r yu can manually mve it t the Cnstituent page. ERROR: TABCAPTION tab (TABID) n PAGENAME culd nt be mved due t existing secnd-tier tabs. This errr ccurs when a custm tab was ging t be mved t a subtab f an existing tab n the Cnstituent page; hwever, nly tw levels f tabs are supprted. Yu can remve the subtabs frm the custm tab and re-run the utility r yu can manually mve it t the Cnstituent page.
