HPE installers This image shows clickable product labels that link to the installers that deploy and configure HPE extensions to Microsoft System Center. To install and configure each product, see the HPE OneView for Microsoft System Center documentation at http://www.hpe.com/info/ovsc/docs. You may need to install Java software to have the autorun.hta function correctly. The autorun contains self-extracting kits which extracts the content into the current directory by default. To show the clickable product labels correctly, HPE recommends to extract these kits outside the current directory and not within the image extracted folder. HPE OneView SCOM Integration Kit (v 3.2) This kit includes HPE OneView Management Packs that integrate alert processing, state monitoring, and hardware resource lifecycle management with information specifically designed for HP servers (G6 to Gen9), HPE Virtual Connect, HPE BladeSystem enclosures, HPE Synergy, and HPE Storage Systems that are managed by HPE OneView. The HPE OneView Management Packs require that the HPE OneView Event Manager be installed on each SCOM management server in the resource pool for alert processing. 8 HPE installers
Download this kit if you want to monitor the health of HP servers (G6 to Gen9), BladeSystem enclosures, Synergy enclosures, HPE Virtual Connect, and HPE 3PAR StoreServ Storage that are being managed by HPE OneView. For more information, see Managing Mixed Environments with HPE SCOM Management Packs white paper. HPE OneView SCVMM Integration Kit (v 3.2.1) This kit contains HPE Fabric Management Add-in for SCVMM that provides a consolidated view of Server and Storage fabric that use HPE OneView or HPE Virtual Connect Manager. When used with HPE OneView, it provides enhanced server provisioning, ability to expand clusters using HPE OneView server profiles, and the ability to deploy Virtual Machines on the HPE OneView managed hosts by utilizing the HPE OneView resources for storage and its fibre channel connections. It enables the SCVMM administrators to view information, events and alerts from HPE Storage portfolio, and deploy the HPE StoreVirtual Virtual Storage Appliance. Add Capacity/Expand Cluster deployment feature requires the installation of the HPE ProLiant SCVMM 2012 Integration Kit (v 2016.08.0). HPE ProLiant SCCM Integration Kit (v 2016.12.0) Download this kit if you want to deploy Operating System using SCCM. The kit provides drivers and driver packages for deploying ProLiant servers and Synergy. This kit includes HPE Inventory Tool for collecting extended inventory data about ProLiant windows servers. HPE ProLiant SCVMM Integration Kit (v 2016.12.0) Download this kit if you want to deploy Operating System using SCVMM. The kit assists with SCVMM 2012R2/2016 bare metal OS deployment. It puts HPE drivers needed for deploying ProLiant servers and Synergy into the SCVMM library share, which can then be used by the SCVMM deployment process. The same set of drivers can also be included in the WinPE images. HPE SCOM Integration Kit (x86/x64) (v 3.4) Download this management pack if you do not manage HPE ProLiant Servers, HPE BladeSystem enclosures and HPE Virtual Connects by HPE OneView. This kit installs HPE Management Packs, tools, HPE Device monitor service, and HPE Device monitor console. These Management Packs integrate alert processing, state monitoring, and hardware resource lifecycle management with information specifically designed for HPE ProLiant Windows Server, HPE BladeSystem Enclosure, HPE Virtual Connect, HPE ProLiant Linux Server, HPE ProLiant VMware Server, and HPE ProLiant Agentless Server. Instead, use the HPE OneView SCOM Integration Kit. For more information, see the Managing Mixed Environments with HPE SCOM Management Packs white paper. HPE Storage SCOM Integration Kit (v 4.4) Download this kit if you want to monitor the health of all HPE Storage Systems. This kit includes more advanced health management of HPE 3PAR StoreServ Storage and it is recommended to install the HPE 3PAR StoreServ Management Pack along with HPE OneView SCOM Integration Kit. This kit installs HPE Storage Management Packs and the User Configuration Tool. It is designed to receive alerts, events, topology, capacity, and health information from the HPE Storage portfolio. This information is displayed in the Operations Manager under different views. For the HPE Storage support matrix, see the HPE SPOCK website at http://www.hpe.com/storage/spock. HPE ProLiant Updates Catalog (v 2016.12.0) The HPE catalog delivers an integrated software and firmware update experience for HPE ProLiant customers using Microsoft SCCM 2012 R2SP1/SP2/Current branch or SCVMM 2012R2/2016 to manage their server infrastructure. Issues and suggested actions HPE OneView components HPE OneView components will not work if HPE OneView is not present. Add Capacity or Expand Cluster wizard will fail to assign HPE OneView server profile when UEFI boot mode is selected If you see a warning in your server profile, Unable to manage boot order in UEFI or UEFI Optimized mode with the current server ROM, you don't have the appropriate ROM version. To resolve this issue, do one of the following: If available, update the supported ROM version Manage the UEFI boot order manually using RBSU Set boot mode to Legacy BIOS See the HPE OneView Release Notes for more details. Deployment jobs may fail if 2 or more Add Capacity Wizards are launched inadvertently Deployment jobs may fail and cause the SCVMM console to crash when multiple Add Capacity Wizards are launched inadvertently. To resolve this issue, restart the SCVMM console and the SCVMM service to clean up the hung or failed jobs. Object discovery override error when using the HPE OneView Server Management Pack Attempts to apply object discovery overrides to HPE Server Collection Discovery and HPE OneView Proliant Server Discovery results in issues where the override values gets saved in the selected Management Pack having the overrides, instead of displaying them in the Override Properties window. The Override Summary page also displays the Microsoft.NET framework unhandled exception message. HPE recommends that you do not apply overrides to these object discovery rules. To resolve the issue, delete the existing overrides and reset the values to default. To delete the overrides: 1. Export the Management Pack having the overrides from the SCOM console. 2. Delete the override configurations specific to the HPE Server Collection Discovery and HPE OneView Proliant Server Discovery rules. 3. Re-import the Management Pack to the SCOM console. Unable to access HPE SSA Symptom Cannot access HPE SSA from systems supporting SATA RAID operating in Legacy BIOS Boot Mode. Cause Dynamic Smart Array (B140i) works only in UEFI Boot Mode. 10 Issues and suggested actions
Action Procedure 1. To access HPE SSA in Legacy BIOS Boot Mode, switch the SATA Controller (in RBSU) to SATA AHCI mode from Dynamic Smart Array mode. Unable to authorize the SCVMM server, if the SCVMM Server IP is changed This issue may occur if the user authorized the SCVMM server in the Add-in settings page prior to the SCVMM Server IP change. In case the SCVMM Server IP change is anticipated, it is recommended to unauthorize the SCVMM server from the Add-in Settings page before changing the SCVMM server IP. Also, if the SCVMM Server is authorized in the Add-in Settings page and the SCVMM Server IP is changed, uninstall and re-install the Add-in. Unable to authorize the SCVMM server, if the SCVMM Server IP is changed 11
