Application Guide for Internal Applicants through Employee Space This guide provides instructions to help you search and apply for job openings at North East Independent School District (NEISD). Accessing Employee Space 1. Go to the NEISD Homepage at www.neisd.net. Login with your Active Directory username and password. Under Community, select Employee Space. 2 P a g e

2. The following login screen will appear. Log in using your Active Directory username and password. 3. Click on the Employee icon. 3 P a g e

4. From the screen below, click Opportunities. 5. The Job Opportunities screen below will appear. There are three sections on this screen: a. Available Jobs All job openings sorted by Title b. Recent Jobs Any job opening posted within the last seven (7) days c. Hot Jobs Job openings identified as a priority 4 P a g e

Browsing Open Positions 1. You can narrow your job search by using the following search fields under the Available Jobs section: a. Keyword Enter in a job title or campus/department key word; i.e. Principal, Teacher, Custodian, etc. b. Job ID Listed Job Requisition number c. Location Drop down list for school or building locations; only locations for posted job openings will be in the list d. Work Type Drop down list for Regular Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, Substitute, Temporary, or Temporary (KIN) e. Category Drop down list of position categories; i.e. Administrative Support/Clerical, Assistant Principal, etc. 5 P a g e

1. To see more details about a specific job opening such as job description and minimum qualifications, double click on the job. 2. To return to the Available Jobs pane, click the X in the upper right hand corner of the job description. 6 P a g e

Applying for a Position 1. If you find a job opportunity that you want to apply to, click on the Apply Now button. If you are not ready to apply immediately, click Save to Job Cart to apply at a later time. 2. Once you click Apply Now, the screen below will appear to prompt you through the application for the specific opening. 3. To submit your application proceed through each of the following sections by selecting the Next button at the top: a. My Profile i. Under My Profile, you can select View / Update to update your Previous Employment History, Education, and References. ii. Under Talent Profile, you can update Competencies, Skills, Credentials and Achievements, for this specific application. NOTE: You do not need to update or add information to these area. 7 P a g e

b. Resume/CV Upload a Resume / Curriculum Vitae You may attach documents at the time you apply to any requisition or up to the time the position is still posted. You will need to attach documents individually to any and all requisitions you apply to. i. To attach Resume/CV, click Attach the Add Attachment window will open. ii. Select the Type of Document, from the dropdown menu. iii. Click Browse to select your document from your files. iv. Click OK to attach the file. 8 P a g e

c. Summary Review and submit your application 4. Click the Submit Application button and the following message will appear letting you know you have successfully submitted your application. 9 P a g e

Checking your Application Status 1. After you have completed your application, you can monitor your submission progress by double clicking the Employee icon. 2. Next, click Opportunities to be taken to the Job Opportunities screen. 3. Click the My Job Cart tab to review job opportunities you saved, but did not apply for. 4. Click the My Applications tab to view one of the following statuses: a. New Application b. Incomplete i. - This opening is closed and you cannot continue your application ii. c. Hiring Manager d. Offer e. Hire f. Withdrawn g. Not Selected - You can continue applying for this opening Note: If you choose to Withdraw an application for any reason: 1. Go to the My Application tab as directed to above 2. Find the job you would like to Withdraw from and click it one time to highlight it 3. Click Actions 4. Select Withdraw 5. Click Yes on the confirmation popup 10 P a g e

Accessing Employee Space from Home In order to access Employee Space from home you must connect to the VPN. NOTE: You must have the most current version of Java running. Click on this link to download it. https://java.com/en/download/. Once downloaded you should completely exit the browser and reopen. You must use Internet Explorer (version 8, 9, 10, 11) as your browser in order to access Employee Space. Go to https://www.neisd.net/northeastisd 1. Log in to the website 2. Click MyNEISD 11 P a g e

3. Under Quick Links click VPN Information 4. Click NEISD Employee VPN Access 12 P a g e

5. Click Proceed 6. Enter your Novell username and password and click the Sign In button. 7. You will be directed to the Installation of Pulse Secure setup page. 13 P a g e

8. The Juniper plug-in will download. This will only run the first time you access the Full Access VPN on a specific computer. 9. A menu bar will appear on top right of web page when applet loads. 10. Click Start and follow the prompts. (Home users see page 17 of the instructions if you are prompted with additional security messages, Active X and Juniper installs.) 11. If prompted with a security warning, click Yes. 14 P a g e

12. If prompted, click Run. 13. If prompted, click Always. 14. If prompted, click Close once the button is active. 15 P a g e

15. You are now connected. You will return to the Network Connect screen. Notice the welcome will show your name. You do not need to click on Start again. 16. To confirm your connection, check your system tray for the Lock. To exit the VPN Right click on the lock in the system tray and choose Exit. The lock will disappear from the system tray. Click on the Sign Out from the VPN menu bar. You are now disconnected. 16 P a g e

Home Computer Users Depending on your internet browser settings, your computer may need to install additional software or allow access to run Active X controls, see instructions below. Some computers may get some but not all of the following prompts. If prompted with a security-warning, click Yes or Continue. 17 P a g e

If prompted, click Run to accept a download. Active X Controls Option 1 Click on the here link to install the Active X control. Click Install. Active X Controls Option 2 If prompted to install the Active X control, click Allow and then Run. 18 P a g e
