How to Register for Courses (Second Phase: Open Enrollment Registration) During Open Enrollment you may register for any course that is not yet full, or be put onto a waitlist for a course that is full. Open Enrollment extends into the term, though some courses close for registration after certain dates. If you re unfamiliar with Open Enrollment, please consider going to the Take Classes page to find the following documents: To find out when Open Enrollment begins, refer to the OLLI Calendar. For more information about Open Enrollment, please refer to the Registering and Getting the Courses You Want document.

: Signing In to an Existing Account If you have been a member at any time since Fall 2012, then you have an existing account. Go to the Sign In page. Enter your username and password into the left box and click Sign In. Do not create a new account if you ve forgotten your login information. If you cannot remember your username, use the Find my Username link to recover it. If you ve forgotten your password, use the Reset my Password link to send a temporary password to your email address. Enter your username and temporary password into the left box and click Sign In (do not click Reset my Password at this point). You ll then be directed to create a new password, as your temporary one will soon expire. When logging in in future, enter your username, the new password that you have created, and click Sign In.

: Creating a New Account If you are new to OLLI, or haven t been a member since Spring 2012, then you may create a new account. Go to the Sign In page. Do not create a new account if you already have one. Fill out the information in the Create new account box. This includes creating a username and password (6-40 characters each), as well as providing an email address. Press Create Account when you ve filled in each field. You will then be asked to provide some additional information. Be sure to enter your birthdate using the correct format: MM/DD/YYYY. You may enter 01/01/1901 if you do not wish to provide your birthdate. When you ve filled in all of the required fields (designated by a red asterisk, *), and any additional information you re willing to provide, press the Submit button.

Step 1: Sign In Use the previous pages for details about how to sign in to your OLLI account. Confirm that you have successfully signed in by looking for Welcome, First Name near the upper right corner of the page.

Step 2: Browse for Courses Go to the Catalog page. Click on any course category that interests you. Click on any course title. You will be taken to a course description page with the class times, materials, and more for that particular course (see next page).

More Information About: The Course Description, Part 1 If you see an Add to Cart button, then this course is available. If you see an Add to Waitlist button then the course is full, but you may add your name to the waitlist. Important: If Check Availability is the only button on the screen, see next page. If you do not see any buttons, then the course has been closed online to new students either: by instructor request, because the course has 2 or less remaining sessions, or because the course has ended. Call the office if you d like more information. Note: You must check out in order for your requests to be processed (more detail to be provided later).

More Information About: The Course Description, Part 2 If you only see a Check Availability button on the course description page, consider the following: 1. Check that you are signed in: the Add to buttons will only appear if you are signed in. 2. Have you paid your membership fee for the year? It is $125 and covers as many courses as you d like to take during the Sept. thru June academic year. If you haven t paid, you must add the membership fee to your cart in order to enable the Add to buttons (see next page). You cannot take OLLI courses if you have not paid the membership fee.

More Information About: Adding the Membership Fee to your Cart 1. If you have not yet paid your membership fee, go to the Catalog page. Regardless of which way you pay, if you want to register for courses online, you will need to add the membership fee to your cart to enable the Add to buttons. 2. Next, select the course category Membership, OLLI at SOU. 3. Click on the link that pops up. 4. Once directed to the course description, click Add to Cart. 5. You ll be directed to the Cart page. Click Return to Course Catalog to continue browsing for courses. When you are done browsing, see next page. Note: OLLI accepts payment by credit card or by check. Payments may be submitted online, over the phone, by mail or in person.

Step 3: Check Out 1. Go to your Cart by clicking View Cart. 2. Look over the page and make sure that everything is correct. 3. When you re ready, click Check Out. Note: There will be a number of different pages to go through in order to complete the check out process. Your requests will not be processed if you do not complete the check out process.

Check Out Part 1: Profile Information Review your profile information to ensure that it is correct. If you d like to update your profile information, click Edit Profile. After updating your profile, click Save Changes. When you re ready to move on to the next page, press Next. Notes: 1. Be sure that every required field (designated by a red asterisk, *) is filled out. 2. Make sure that the Date of Birth box is filled using the proper format: MM/DD/ YYYY. If you do not wish to provide your birthdate, you may input 01/01/1910 instead.

Check Out Part 2: Volunteer Survey Answer the Volunteer Survey. Marking Yes designates that it s okay for OLLI s Volunteer Coordinator, Pauline Black, to call you to discuss volunteer opportunities. Marking No designates that you are not interested in volunteering at this time. If you change your mind later on, feel free to contact Pauline by phone at (541) 552-6975, or by email at blackp@sou.edu. When you re ready, press Next. Check Out Note: If you need to return to a previous page, use the website s Previous button (located near the Next button) to go back. Do not use your browser s back button. The Previous button will prevent you from having to re-enter information.

Check Out Part 3: Payment Method If you ve already paid for your membership, skip to Check Out Part 5. If you are paying by credit card, please read the two important notes on the webpage. Select Payment Type. When you re ready, press Next. Note: If you choose to pay by check or over the phone, we ask that you please make an effort to complete those transactions before or immediately after you have completed the check out process.

Check Out Part 4: Billing Information If you ve already paid for your membership, skip to Check Out Part 5. Check the box if your contact and billing information are the same. OR If your contact and billing information differ, edit the pre-filled information to reflect your billing information. When you re ready, click Next.

Check Out Part 5: Purchase Page Review this page and make sure that everything is correct. When you re ready, click Purchase. Notes: 1. Even if you ve previously paid your membership fee, you must press Purchase in order for your requests to be processed. 2. If you haven t previously paid your membership fee, you must press Purchase and pay the fee. 3. If you re paying your membership fee by credit card, pressing Purchase will direct you to a popup Sales window. Make sure that pop-ups are enabled on your browser. If you don t see a pop-up window, consider changing your browser s settings or calling the OLLI Office. We ll take your credit card information over the phone.

Check Out Part 6: Payment, Part 1 If you are not paying your membership fee by credit card online, skip to Check Out Part 7. First page of payment window: Press Continue Checkout.

Requesting Courses Online Check Out Part 6: Payment, Part 2 If you are not paying your membership fee by credit card online, skip to Check Out Part 7. Second page of payment window: Enter your Visa or MasterCard number (no debit cards please), the Expiration Month and Year, your name as it appears on the card, the billing address associated with the card, and your email address. Press Continue Checkout.

Requesting Courses Online Check Out Part 6: Payment, Part 3 If you are not paying your membership fee by credit card online, skip to Check Out Part 7. Third page of payment window: Review your order and payment information. When you are ready, press Submit Payment.

Check Out Page 7: Confirmation We recommend that you print a copy of this page as a receipt. Note: You will receive 1-2 emails as a result of your order: 1. An email receipt detailing your Registered or Waitlisted status for each course. 2. A confirmation of payment (if you made a payment or donation online by credit card). Keep these emails for your records, and call the office if you do not receive the necessary emails.

Congratulations! You ve finished registering for courses. Notes about taking courses at OLLI: Welcome! We hope you enjoy your experience here at OLLI. Adding Courses: If you d like to sign up for additional courses, you may return to the Catalog page at any time during Open Enrollment and repeat the registration process described in this document. Dropping Courses/Waitlist Spots: You must contact the office if you need to drop a course or place on a waitlist. Please do so promptly so that your place may be offered to someone else. Being Waitlisted: Please do not attend a course if you are waitlisted. The only members invited to class sessions are those who have been registered for the course by the office. If you aren t sure of your waitlist status, feel free to check online (sign in to your account and go to My Account in the upper right corner, then Class List ) or contact the OLLI office. Donating to OLLI: If you d like to make an online donation to OLLI s Annual Fund, sign in, go to the Catalog page, select Donation to OLLI Annual Fund, and add your chosen donation amount to your cart. Then go through the check out process described in this document (note that you will be directed through the same check out pages that you would if you were paying a membership fee). Note that while you do need an account to make a donation online, you do not need to have paid the membership fee. Donations in any amount can also be made in person, by mail, or through the SOU Foundation (on the OLLI website, go to Giving to OLLI on the left, then Annual Fund, also on the left, and then press the Click here link in the 3 rd paragraph of text, under Give Online ).
