Style Guide for Product Information Sheets
Title: Name of product (maximum 60 characters) The name of a product must be written in full and should include the brand or collection name. It is important to make sure the generic name of the product describes the product well. It must contain the product s utilization, specifications and advantages of buying it. The client should understand what the product purpose is with only one reading. Supplemental Product Documents Vendors are encouraged to supply supplemental product documents to enhance the customer experience. These types of documents are to be included as PDFs in both French and English. It is important to choose clear images to illustrate the product. These are the criteria that must be followed: Photo must be taken as a front shot or ¾ front facing shot. File type : Jpeg (.jpg) Size 1,200 pixels x 1,200 pixels (minimum) Image quality: high resolution Resolution 300 DPI (minimum) Main image: main product with 100% white background Alternate images : contextual photos allowed. If a product has English text showing in the photo, a French version photo must be provided. Videos Videos can be added to give a more in depth description of the product or show how it can be used. It is important that some guidelines be followed to ensure a quality experience to potential buyers. These are the criteria that must be followed: Audio and video must be professionally produced. The video cannot guide the viewer to an external site or reference other websites. It cannot be a slide show; must show video sequences. Ideally under 2 minutes. The product name and brand need to be included in the title. Data or Image Update Vendors are responsible for communicating all relevant updates in a clear and timely manner.
