3 PRINT READY OUR SERVICES In order to improve our service and continue to meet increasingly short lead times, we now offer a print ready service. This is perfect for those who have access to their own design teams who don t need us to check or modify artwork. We will not charge you for pre-press time, but we will require your artwork to be supplied print ready, along with a visual guide. We won t make any changes to your files, but simply send them to print as supplied. PRE-PRESS & PROOFING We will check your supplied artwork and make any necessary changes to the files in order that you get the best result. This includes checking image quality, fonts, colours, bleed, making small amendments, and preparing your files for whichever process is required. We will provide you with a pdf proof via for final sign off. PROOF ADDITIONAL CHARGE PRINT READY PRE-PRESS 70 PER HOUR CREATIVE 85 PER HOUR CAD 100 PER HOUR CREATIVE We also offer a print design service. Our team has lots of experience in creating artwork for print and signage, and we understand how to protect your image and your brand. If you d like your project to be created all under one roof - from design to production - we have the expertise to do it! CAD We provide bespoke signage design with 2D and 3D visuals. We can adapt those designs into full working construction drawing ready for fabrication and production.
4 SUPPLYING ARTWORK SENDING YOUR ARTWORK If your files are under 20MB in size then you will be able to these across to us. Larger files can be uploaded directly to us by clicking here. A FEW RULES Please label your artwork clearly to help us identify each file correctly. All files should be created in a CMYK colour format in a FOGRA 39 colour space. All black should be set with a CMYK breakdown of C60 M60 Y60 K100 to ensure depth of colour.
5 SUPPLYING PRINT READY ARTWORK For print ready files we require high-resolution or vector PDF files which can be created in the majority of applications used today. To ensure that your file is of the highest quality please make sure that your graphic is at a minimum of 75ppi at full size, or 750ppi at a scale of 10%. Make sure that your artwork is set up at the required size with no bleed, printers marks or crop marks (unless you require these to be seen on the finished print). All files should be created in a CMYK colour format in a FOGRA 39 colour space. All blacks should be in a CMYK breakdown of C60 M60 Y60 K100. If your document contains assigned Pantones, we will automatically print to the closest match possible. Please don t use overprint in your files - elements set with overprint may drop out at print.

Don t use compression when exporting files from InDesign

8 OUR CREATIVE SERVICE TARGET AUDIENCE Who are you trying to reach? Who is your ideal customer? Who buys your products or uses your services? Describe them to us. (Occupation, location, Important keywords etc) AVAILABLE ASSETS Do you have a logo, brochure, product photos, or other materials that would be useful to your design? OVERALL LOOK & FEEL Provide us with examples of designs you like and designs you don t like, even if they re the designs of your competitors, and tell us why you feel that way. Is it... OBJECTIVES AND GOALS Is this a redesign or reworking of existing artwork, or is it a completely new design? What do you want from this design? Raise awareness? Generate sales? Encourage enquiries? Make an impact? Pure aesthetics? BUDGET & SCHEDULE Budget can be a delicate subject but by knowing from the beginning what kind of budget you have to work with, we can tailor our services to give you the most benefit for your money. We guarantee to give you the maximum amount of work in return for the price you pay. Schedule is almost as important as budget. Good design takes time. It s important you let us know your deadlines and whether they are flexible or not. If we know we can t do something within a certain budget or schedule, we ll tell you up front and offer alternative solutions, if possible. Colour Imagery Quantity and quality of text Typography The atmosphere that particular design creates The more clues you give us about your design tastes, the more likely we will be able to produce something close to your aims. We will not copy the ideas you give us... but will use them as the start of the design process. DEFINITE DO NOTS Finally, tell us what you absolutely don t want!
9 ARTWORK REQUIREMENTS BY PRODUCT
10 DOUBLE-SIDED PVC BANNERS < Pocket < 35mm Weld Double-sided PVC banners should be set at face size, and should be supplied in an EPS format. Double-sided banners with hem to all edges should have no text or logos within 35mm of the edge of the artwork. Double-sided banners with pockets have a safe area - (safe area = pocket size + 35mm weld). Make sure that no text or logos appear within the pocket/weld area of your banner as distortion may occur, or important elements may be split where the pocket is joined. < Safe Area < 35mm Weld < Pocket
11 PROFILE CUT VINYL Overlapping paths will be cut by the plotter Merge overlapping shapes to avoid splits in vinyl Profile cut text should be supplied to us outlined with no shapes overlapping - minimum cap height is 10mm. Profile cut vector graphics using self-coloured vinyl should be supplied with all shapes expanded, and no shapes overlapping. If you can provide Pantone references, we will find the best match to your required colour. Profile cut vector graphics using printed vinyl should be supplied with a vector cut path on a separate layer Profile cut raster images should be supplied with a vector cut path on a separate layer. If you are unable to supply your artwork with a cut path, we can create one for you (see artworking charges, page 3 - Our Services) ** Please remove all printers marks and crop marks from artwork Layers Graphic Layer Cut Path
12 WHITE INK White Ink may be required for certain substrates or applications Coloured Foamex Clear vinyl or acrylic Illuminated Banners If the white ink is required as a flood across the whole artwork, a supplied white ink layer is not necessary. If white ink is only needed in certain sections of the artwork then a supplied white ink layer will be required. Please supply artwork with a separate layer for white ink set up as a vector shape. The white ink shape should be offset by -1mm all edges to avoid being visible at the edge of the print If you are unable to supply your artwork with a cut path, we can create one for you (see artworking charges, page 3 - Our Services) Layers Graphic White Ink layer on top of Graphic
