Welcome to the NEW and IMPROVED Internet Banking. The South African Bank of Athens is proud to confirm the launch of our new Internet Banking platform, designed specifically for South African SME businesses. Our new system provides a modern and intuitive user experience aimed at making your electronic banking simpler and safer. We have focused on increased security features, improved usability and the layers of approval, authorisation and access that a business user needs, to operate their accounts effectively. Although designed with businesses in mind, we have also ensured that the new system is equally user-friendly and effective for the individual user. Some of the New Internet Banking features will include: Email your statements to yourself Export your statement into Excel Multiple Payments lets you pay multiple beneficiaries simultaneously Group Payments lets you group beneficiaries together so that they can be paid simultaneously Recurring Payments set up a recurring payment to a beneficiary Once-off Payments make a payment without having to create a beneficiary first More options around Beneficiary and Payment Approvals SMS and email notifications Important Information 1. All accounts that you may be linked to, will be displayed on your Internet Banking profile. You will no longer have to logon to multiple profiles your personal, business as well as any other linked accounts that you have been granted access to, by the owners of those accounts, will display on your single Internet Banking Profile. 2. Our SABA loan accounts will not be visible on Internet Banking immediately, and this will be added to your profile later this year. Please watch this space for notifications on the expected time for this added service. 3. Please don t give your new login credentials to anybody. The new internet banking system allows you the ability to grant access to another person to view or transact on your accounts, based on levels of authority you select. Any such person would then be issued with their own username and password. Please contact the branch should you wish to arrange this. Page 1 of 8
Accessing the Internet Banking Platform STEP 1 Go to www.bankofathens.co.za and select the online banking link or button. STEP 2 Select the Existing Customer Activation link or button. 2 1 Page 2 of 8
Welcome to the NEW and IMPROVED Internet Banking. STEP 3 Enter your current Internet Banking User ID and your South African ID number. If you don t have a South African ID number, capture your Passport Number and Select Submit. STEP 4 A message should be displayed indicating that you are Successfully Registered. If the system displays an error message, repeat the process and rectify what was captured incorrectly. 4 3 Page 3 of 8
Accessing the Internet Banking Platform STEP 5 Email: Receive an Email providing you with your Profile ID and an SMS providing you with an Activation Reference. SMS: The South African Bank of Athens: Authorised Internet Banking on 20170130. Use Activation Reference 730efadd5b90 as instructed at suite. STEP 6 On the same screen under New Internet Banking Users select the Read More button. This will route you to the Client Confirmation screen. 5 6 Page 4 of 8
Welcome to the NEW and IMPROVED Internet Banking. STEP 7 On the Client Confirmation screen provide your details as requested. This screen will request you to create a Password for Internet Banking do this by creating a Password and typing the same password in the Confirm Password field. Take note of the Password STEP 8 If your registration was successful, the screen will indicate this. You can now select the Back button and you will be routed to the Internet Banking Logon screen. If an error message is displayed, rectify the details that need to be corrected and select Submit again. 7 8 2 Page 5 of 8
Accessing the Internet Banking Platform STEP 9 Logon to Internet Banking by entering your NEW Profile ID (that was provided in the Email you received earlier) and the Password that you just created on the previous screen. STEP 10 Select the I have read and accept the Terms and Conditions tick box and select the Logon button. 9 10 1 Page 6 of 8
Welcome to the NEW and IMPROVED Internet Banking. STEP 11 You are requested to create a 10-character Verification Code. This is an additional password for extra security. Note that this can be only letters OR numbers OR a combination of both letters and numbers. Repeat the Verification code that you just created in the Confirm Logon Code field and select Create. STEP 12 You are requested to capture only the missing characters of the Verification Code that you just created. The missing characters are required in the blocks that are not populated with a number. Capture the requested characters and select Logon. 11 12 Page 7 of 8
