PORTAL GUARD Portal Guard will allow you to change your password to all of your Marian accounts any time you want to or if you have forgotten your password. It will also allow you to unlock your account if you ever accidently enter your password incorrectly too many times. This service is available 24 hours a day. Begin the process by going to My.Marian (https://my.marianuniversity.edu) and click on the Forgot Password link to start the process of enrolling in Portal Guard. 1. First, you must enroll. Enter your new Marian username (do not use @marianuniversity.edu ) and password and click Login. Once you have completed the enrollment process you will be given the opportunity to change your password. At any time you have the opportunity to show your password to confirm you entered it correctly. 2. On the Enrollment page below, verify your username and password are correct (you may click the show password ) and click continue.

3. You will be prompted to choose 5 questions from a series of 10 questions and enter your answers. You may want to write down your exact answer for future reference. All answers have to be a minimum of 4 characters. We have provided a worksheet on the last page of this document for your future reference. 4. When you are finished filling in 5 questions and answers, click the Continue button.

5. Once you receive the above screen you have successfully enrolled into Portal Guard. Click the Click here to try to try to continue logging in button to reach the next step. 6. Now you must enter a cellphone and personal email address to assist in unlocking your account in the future. Complete the required information and click Continue. You will then receive a text with a Onetime Password. Enter the series of numbers in the box and click Continue. 7. You will now be directed to set a new password.

8. Type your new password twice and click Set Password. 9. Enter the answers to the questions. Refer to what you have written down, if necessary. 10. Please write it down somewhere safe and confidential. Remember: your password is case sensitive, so write it down EXACTLY as you have typed it. 11. Passwords have to be at least 8 characters long but no longer than 20 characters. Passwords have to include a lower-case letter, and upper-case letter, a number and a symbol. 12. When you reach the following screens, you have completed the enrollment process.

MY MARIAN To access your Marian University email, type into the browser address bar: https://my.marianuniversity.edu and press the Enter key. Log into My Marian frequently to see announcements that are specifically for you. Note: to log into this page, your username is your complete Marian University email address. Click here and enter your complete Marian University email address for your username, and your password. The content of the page will then change because you have logged in as a student. ACCESSING MARIAN UNIVERSITY EMAIL Click on the following link to access the My.Marian Portal. https://my.marianuniversity.edu Click on the sign in (circle). If signing in from off-campus, you will need your whole Marian University email address. Once signed in, select Check E-mail under Links (rectangle). Please note: Marian University email is the official email for all Marian University business, including contact with your professors. Other email clients (Gmail, yahoo, etc.) maybe blocked by our spam filter. You will be taken to a login screen to access your Outlook/Office 365 email account. This screen will require your whole email address and password. Take care to protect this information.

Once you are logged into Office 365 you will have access to Office Online which includes a variety of applications, including Cloud storage, OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and others. OneDrive is a place to keep your work documents and other files. When you store your files in OneDrive, only you can see them, but you can easily share them with your faculty member and/or other students. You can access them from any internet-connected computer or even your mobile devices. Your files are safely kept in the cloud. We have tutorials on the Office 365 apps available on My.Marian under the Office of Information Technology.

ACCESSING SABRENET Once you have logged into the MyMarian https://my.marianuniversity.edu website you will have new links available. SabreNet is listed on the left-hand side of the page or under the academics tab. With this account, you will be able to check the availability of classes, register online, check grades, and even make payments online. You will now be taken to a login screen to access your SabreNet account. This screen will require your user name (no @marianuniversity.edu needed) and password this is to protect you and your system information from unwanted intrusions. If you have forgotten your username, click on the Click Here link. You will be directed to Password Manager. If you have any questions, please click on the Student Tutorials (circled) and they should help guide you through the process.

MARIAN ONLINE 2 To access Marian Online 2, first go to the MyMarian webpage https://my.marianuniversity.edu and login. There will be a link on the left-hand side of the page (circle). Logging in with your user name (no @marianuniversity.edu needed) and password will be required (black circle below). Your Marian Online 2 account is active, but until classes begin and your professors have activated the online portions you will not be able to see or enter any online courses. Check with your individual instructors to find out when your classes will be available. After logging in, click on the student tutorial link (red circle) and register for the training.

MARIAN MOBILE APP ELLUCIAN GO 1. Download the App from your appropriate App store (itunes, Google Play Store or Amazon). Search for Ellucian Go. Once the app is downloaded, click on it. Once you have opened Ellucian Go, you will have to select a school. There are two ways of searching for a school. You can chose to scroll down the alphabetized list or type Marian in the search engine. 2. Sign in with your Marian University login and password. You will remain logged in until you click to Sign out. Enjoy all of the features available. CARDINAL MEYER LIBRARY OFF-CAMPUS ACCESS Marian Library Off-campus access To access the library resources such as databases and e- books from off-campus, you will be prompted to login using the login screen shown below.
