Is Siddhartha Bank Smart different from mobile alerts? Yes indeed! Siddhartha Bank Smart gives you much more than mobile alerts. Siddhartha Bank Smart can be used for Account Fund Transfer, view mini statements and balance query, make Merchant Payments, Card services, General Information of Banks, Utility payments, Recharge PIN Top Ups etc. it is a whole new way of banking. Mobile alert is a SMS service where SBL updates you on account activity. These SMSs are sent whenever an event occurs in your account. It sends SMS for every DEBIT or CREDIT transaction equal to and more than NPR. 1000. 3. What is the difference between SBL SMS alerts and Siddhartha Bank Smart? SMS alerts keeps you updated about the significant transactions that have taken place in your account(s). Through SMS Alert you can receive SMS for every Debit only, Credit only or both types of transaction of NPR. 1000 or more on the specified mobile number provided by you. Whereas Siddhartha Bank Smart allows you to get account information such as mini statements and balance inquiry, fund transfer, Utility payments, Recharge PIN Top Ups, Merchant Payments, and General Information of Bank etc either thorough SMS or WEB. 4. Why do I need Siddhartha Bank Smart? Siddhartha Bank Smart is quick and convenient. You can carry out basic banking activities directly from your mobile phone so you can save time of visiting branch. More importantly you can perform transaction from Siddhartha Bank Smart round the clock. 5. Can I avail Siddhartha Bank Smart services? Of course, Siddhartha Bank Smart is offered to all account holders. To apply, kindly visit the nearest SBL branch.
6. Do you charge for this service? Yes, we charge NPR 100 for registration and NPR 100 annual fee next year onwards. 7. Do we need any application to be installed in our mobile to use Siddhartha Bank Smart? Yes, you need to download Siddhartha Bank Smart Application from Play Store for Android based mobiles and you can also download the application from I-tunes (APPLE STORE) for iphone. 8. What kind of phones support Siddhartha Bank Smart? All Android and IOS phones support Siddhartha Bank Smart. 9. Can I use Siddhartha Bank Smart using another SIM than the registered one? No, you cannot use Siddhartha Bank Smart by using another SIM other than the registered one. 10. I have a CDMA phone, can I use mobile banking? No, Siddhartha Bank Smart is enabled for GSM mobile phones only i.e. NTC GSM & NCELL GSM and cannot be used for CDMA Phone. 11. I have already registered in Siddhartha Bank Smart but when I request for any service it reply back error message as unregistered user, why? We assume in that case you might be using a DUAL SIM mobile. If its true then our Siddhartha Bank Smart application sends message from the SIM that is set as default. You need to change the default SIM to the one you registered so that message can be pushed from the registered SIM. If you are not able to set the default SIM from setting of your mobile then either you change the slot of the SIMs or visit nearest Siddhartha Bank Branch to change the registered mobile number to another SIM you are carrying. 12. While requesting a service for Siddhartha Bank Smart application shows that Request Successful but the request doesn t get executed why? While requesting the message Request Successful is just a notification given my Siddhartha Bank Smart Application that message has been successfully Pushed. However it does not signify that actually the request has reached to Siddhartha Bank End. Please note that the message pushed from the application might gets drop from service provider NTC/ NCELL. Can I start using Siddhartha Bank Smart now! To avail Siddhartha Bank Smart service first you need to apply for it. This can be done at the nearest SBL branches. 19. How can I register for it? The service is offered to SBL customers. Kindly visit the nearest branch to register. You need to fill in the application form to enable the services. As soon as your user is created a temporary Siddhartha Bank Smart GPRS password and TXN PIN will be sent on the registered mobile number. You have to change the GPRS password and TXN PIN on your first login. 20. Can 4 digit TXN PIN be used for SMS Banking? Yes, GPRS transaction PIN and SMS PIN is the same.

How does my MPIN gets locked and What should I do to unlock it? If you use incorrect PIN for 3 consecutive times your MPIN gets locked. You need to submit the application for PIN reset. After proper verification, application will be unlocked and new PIN will be sent.
