ISOBUS Training
What is ISOBUS? ISO 11783 International standardized communication protocol Allows different agricultural equipment to share a common language Governs physical components Cables, connectors, and data link Ag Leader is compatible with the ISOBUS standard Compatible vs. compliant
What is ISOBUS
ISOBUS Working Set One or more ISOBUS modules that control an implement s functionality. Main module is called the Working Set Master (WSM). WSM handles: loading object pool Coordinating communication between WS and VT
Object Pool Graphical UI elements Sent by WSM on first connection with VT. Size dependent upon complexity of module UI. 1GB Memory in display for object pool data Usually stored locally in VT display memory. Status indication during pool load.
Virtual Terminal (VT) Defines graphical User Interface (UI) components that ISOBUS modules present on a compatible display The VT doesn t understand anything it presents. Simply communicates with the Working Set Master (WSM) by sending key press events.
Virtual Terminal (VT) Standard feature on INTEGRA 2.1 firmware and newer. Engineered to work with Version 3 Virtual Terminal. Supports VT version 3 Auxiliary Functions. Will NOT support VT version 2 Auxiliary Functions. No unlock required on Integra, Versa requires unlock VT must be enabled by user on General tab of Display Setup.
Object Pool(s) can be manually cleared with the Clear Saved Device interfaces button
Display Cable Details CAN A is reserved for Ag Leader modules. CAN B is reserved for ISOBUS modules. Currently don t support OT2 and ISOBUS at the same time.

High Current Relay Module Provides 12V switched power to pins 1 and 3 ISO plug via high current relay. Fuse cover removed exposing 30A and 60A fuses.
CAN Power Module CAN A Relay Provides +12V power to CAN A CAN B Relay Provides +12V across Pins 2 and 4 of IBBC.
Power Control Power Control is performed through the CAN Power Module. ISOBUS/Power Control Extension cable is connected at the module and routed to ISO Display cable in the cab. ISOBUS/Power Control EXT (10FT) 4002585-10 ISOBUS/Power Control EXT (18FT) 4002585-18
Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting VT Quick Reference Guide Included in ISOBUS Retrofit Kit (Generic Tractor) (P.N. 4100843). Step through troubleshooting flowcharts 1-9.
CAN Power Module LEDs LED #1 (Blue) Indicates that the module is receiving high current power (12V) from the display energizing the High Current Relay Controlling High Current across Pins 1 and 3 of the ISO plug. Led #2 Green Indicates CAN A is being provided High Current power(12v) from the CAN A Relay of CAN Power Module. LED #3 (Green) Indicates ISOBUS/CAN B is being provided High current power (12V) across pins 2 and 4 of ISO Plug from CAN B relay.

ISOBUS CAN Logger Operation
ISOBUS CAN Logger Operation 1. Plug in SYSTEC CAN-USB Adapter to laptop BEFORE starting the ISOBUS CAN Logger. 2. Start the CAN Log Utility Program DO NOT run simultaneously with Ag Leader CAN simulator or any other program that uses the SYSTEC CAN-USB Adapter.
ISOBUS CAN Logger Operation 3. Start Logging CAN data by clicking on the GO button. Default Directory is: C:\Program Files\ISOBUS CAN Logger\Log Files 4. Verify CAN data is being received. -White and Green Progress Bar indicates CAN data being received.
ISOBUS CAN Logger Operation 5. Power-up modules and INTEGRA display. 6. Stop the CAN Logger by clicking the Stop button WHEN: Object pool Status Bar activity stops (wait several seconds after it becomes inactive before stopping the CAN Logger) OR Object pool Status Bar remains continuously active longer than 15 minutes.
ISOBUS CAN Logger Operation 7. E-mail Zipped CAN Log files to Ag Leader Technical Support. Also Include: A completed VT Troubleshooting Worksheet ECU object pool(s)
