1. Outline Software operating environment Windows2000/XP/Vista XGA (1024X768) display or greater Supported font sizes are Small fonts (Windows 2000) and Regular size (96 dpi) (Windows XP, Vista). Objective models Z-TIO-A/B/C/D, Z-DIO-A, Z-COM * Function modules are not configurable via a Z-COM module. Functions Controller setting data, including engineering settings, can be monitored and set. Batch data and display data can be sent and received. All settings in the controller can be saved as a file on a computer, and all settings in a file can be set in the controller. The set values saved in a file can be checked against the set values configured in the controller. In case of Z-TIO-C/D, setting of PLC communication (MapMan) can be made easily. A trend graph can be displayed. This can be used to adjust control parameters. Communication connection outline <Loader communication connection> Communication is possible even when power is not supplied to the controller. SRZ Loader communication Connect the cables in the order (1), (2). Communication converter USB (2) <Multi drop connection> COM-K (1) SRZ SRZ SRZ SRZ SRZ Communication takes place with one unit at a time. SRZ SRZ SRZ SRZ SRZ RS-485 Communication converter RS-232C * RS-232C/RS-485 Communication converter Recommended products: CD485/VF (Data Link Co. Ltd) Language support The language is automatically selected to show Japanese in Japanese Windows and English in English Windows. < Caution and restrictions > When a loader cable is connected to another module, check the parameter setting. The software checks the communication connection and the model code of the connected instrument at the startup. Errors may be displayed even if global setting has been successfully done. Make sure the relevant set data will not affect the control action when such errors are shown. 2
2. Installation The executable file is WinUciSRZje1021.exe. Copy this file to any folder. * When the file is executed, the file SRZini.ini is automatically created in the same folder. Note that if a file of the same name already exists in the folder, that file will be overwritten. 3. Operation Communication port check A communication port must be specified in order to communicate with the controller. Communication ports vary by computer. Check as shown below. Right-click My Computer and open Properties Device Manager. Click + next to Ports (COM & LPT) to display the ports. For loader communication, the number following COM in RKC USB-to-Serial Bridge (COM ) is the communication port number. 3
Starting Double-click or otherwise start the file WinUciSRZje1201.exe. After the file starts, mode selection appears first. Mode selection To connect to the controller by communication and check or change set values, click Direct mode. To open a file of saved controller settings, click File mode (page 8). Direct mode The Communication parameter screen appears first. Specify communication parameters and click OK. 4
When communication is established, the below Monitor & Setting appears. To change pages, click the tree at left or click a tab at the top of the screen. The following picture illustrates the setting screen for Z-TIO. Screens may look different for Z-DIO/ Z-COM. To change controller settings, change the set values in the screen and then click the Selecting button. * If the same page is displayed but no operation is performed, communication will not take place. Communication and reading normally only take place when you change pages. If you wish to view changes in set values or output values, or if settings were changed at the controller, click the Polling button to receive the new data from the controller. * If you send a set value that exceeds the allowed setting range, or if you attempt to change an engineering mode setting during control, a communication error will be displayed. Direct mode menu File menu Open... Open a settings file and change to file mode. Create file (Controller File)... Read all settings from the controller and save in a settings file. Exit Setting menu Set trend graph... Change the trend graph display setting. Set communication parameter. Change the communication settings. When a multi-drop connection is used, the communication address can be changed to connect to a different controller. Help Version information 5
File mode When file mode is selected, a screen for selecting the settings file appears. When a file is opened, the below Monitor & Setting appears. To change pages, click the tree at left or click a tab at the top of the screen. * To set the displayed set values in the controller, specify communication parameters and then select Set all (PC Controller) from the File menu. File mode menu File menu Open... Open another settings file. All set (PC Controller)... Send all set values to the controller and set the values. Verify (Controller PC)... Check if the set values read from the file match the set values in the controller. Exit Setting menu Set trend graph... Change the trend graph display setting. Set communication parameter.. Change the communication settings. Help Version information * To perform All set, the controller must have the same specifications as the controller of the file. 6
4. Example of operation Saving all data of a controller to a computer (1) Make sure that Direct mode is checked. (2) Select Create File (Controller->File) from the File menu. The Save As screen will appear. (3) Select a folder, enter a file name, and click Save. (4) The Communicating screen appears. When communication is finished, all data is saved in the computer. 7
Editing the data saved on the computer and sending all data to the controller * To send all data to a controller, the controller must have the same specifications as the controller whose data was edited. Editing data (1) Check File mode to change to file mode. The Open screen will appear. (2) Select the file that you wish to edit and click the Open button. Edit the data. * The mode will also automatically change to file mode if you select Read File (File PC) from the File menu in the main screen. * The mode will also automatically change to file mode if you select File mode in the mode selection screen when the application starts. Sending all data to the controller (1) Make sure that File mode is checked. (2) Select All set (PC Controller) from File in the main menu screen. (3) All settings in the controller will be changed. Do you want to continue? will appear. Click OK. (4) The Communicating screen will appear. When Communication finishes, all data is set in the controller. 8
Copying all data in the controller to another controller * To copy all data to another controller, both controllers must have the same specifications. Copying by loader communication (1) Connect the cable to the controller with the data to be copied. (2) Make sure that Direct mode is checked. (3) Select Create file (Controller File) from File in the main screen menu. The Save As screen will appear. (4) Select a folder, enter a file name, and click Save. The data of the controller will be saved to your computer. (5) Connect the cable to the controller to which the data will be copied. (6) Check File mode to change to file mode. The Open screen will appear. (7) Specify the file in which the data to be copied is stored and click the Open button. (8) Select All set (PC Controller from File in the main screen menu. All settings in the controller will be changed. Do you want to continue? will appear. Click OK. The Communicating screen will appear. When communication finishes, all data will be set in the controller. * To copy to multiple controllers, switch the cable and repeat steps (8) and (9) for each controller. * If you are using serial communication such as RS-485 in a multi-drop connection, set the address of the controller to be connected prior to steps (2) and (6) above. 9
Using a trend graph Measured values, set values, and heating/cooling control output values of the connected controller can be displayed as a trend graph. This is convenient for performing fine adjustment of PID constants while checking actual control results. Data locking of measured values, set values, and heating/cooling control output values is possible, and the values can be stored in a CSV file. To start graph display, select the Graph ON checkbox. To specify trend graph settings, select Set trend graph from Setting in the main screen menu. To store locked data in a Record folder, specify any folder as the Record folder and select the File record checkbox. Data from the time that Graph ON is checked in the main screen until Graph OFF is checked will be automatically stored in CSV format. Example of file name:srz20090703163817.csv Recording started (Graph ON) 10:14:45, MAR 16, 2009 10
Check if the set values read from a file match the set values of the controller. Verify (PC Controller) (1) Make sure that File mode is checked. Select Verify (PC Controller) from File in the main screen menu. (2) The set value read to PC is compared with a set value of controller. Do you execute its? appears. Click OK:. (3) The Communicating screen appears. When communication ends, the results appear. 11
