Introduction What is Workhorse? Workhorse is an online tool being used by Walmart.com to help facilitate identification and tracking of Apparel samples and imagery. Workhorse will be used by Suppliers to provide information updates and shipment tracking to Walmart.com regarding samples. This will help ensure an efficient process for both Suppliers and Walmart.com. Who will be using Workhorse? All personnel responsible for gathering and shipping samples to Walmart.com will use Workhorse. These personnel are required to input statuses for all items on their Workhorse dashboard. This includes Reminder, Warning, Danger and Past Due statuses. 3
Automated Email Sample Request You will receive an automated email only when samples or images are needed by Walmart.com. An email will be sent out Mondays until samples are processed in San Bruno or images are successfully uploaded. REMINDER <90 DAYS Prior to Start Date WARNING <60 DAYS Prior to Start Date DANGER <45 DAYS Prior to Start Date PAST DUE <21 DAYS Prior to Start Date Sample Imagery Request received on the 1 st & 3 rd Monday of the Month. Mandatory Status Updates due the 1 st & 3 rd Wednesday of the Month. Or ship sample. Sample Imagery Request received on the 1 st & 3 rd Monday of the Month. Mandatory Status Updates due the 1 st & 3 rd Wednesday of the Month. Or ship sample. Tracking # errors will also be sent for revisions. Sample Imagery Request received every Monday. Mandatory Status Updates due that same Wednesday. Ship sample ASAP. Tracking # errors will also be 4 sent for revisions. Sample Imagery Request received EVERY DAY. Mandatory Status Updates due that same Wednesday. Ship sample immediately. Daily emails will cease when samples are processed in San Bruno or images are successfully uploaded. 4

Automated Email Sample Request The automated email has links to sample imagery instructions, size requirements and an explanation of how to ship samples to our address in San Bruno. By Wednesday of that same week, Suppliers are required to either: 1. Input an Expected Date. 2. Input sample tracking information into Workhorse for all items on your Workhorse dashboard. The email has links for you to log into your Workhorse dashboard to see items in each sample status. The email subject line ranks status for most urgent item : Approaching: More than 90 days prior to Start Date. Reminder: Less than 90 days prior to Start Date. Warning: Less than 60 days prior to Start Date. Danger: Less than 45 days prior to Start Date. May cause costly delays receiving & selling your goods. Past Due: Less than 21 days prior to Start Date. May cause costly delays receiving & selling your goods. Start Date is what was provided during setup. Any updates to this date will not reflect in the system and should be communicated to the Apparel Item Setup team at apprist@walmart.com. 6
Workhorse Login The Workhorse address is https://walmart.workhorsegroup.us/source/login.cfm. Log in using your email address for Name. Your password is provided by the Apparel Item Setup team. 7
Workhorse Homepage Clicking the asterisk icon in the top right corner of the black ribbon will always return you to this homepage. Clicking the top left yellow button will bring you to the Samples needed by Walmart.com page. 8
Navigating Workhorse Select Your View Just below the Workhorse logo on the grey top navigation bar are 3 small icons. Each allows you to switch between different views of the same data. Icons From Left to Right: List View Multiple Select View/ Side by Side Edit Many/ Spreadsheet View. Additional report and filter capabilities are now available in the grey ribbon at the top of the page. You can filter by Tracking Number, Sample Status, Style Numbers, Sample Status and whether the sample has been received yet. 9
Sample Status Updates Multiple Select/Side by Side View is easiest to navigate and the view you will use most often. Workhorse automatically defaults to this view. You are able to quickly update multiple items at one time. Click yellow pencil or blue printer icon 1. Select items you want to tell us about from the left box and move them to the right box by hitting the double yellow arrow in between the 2 boxes. 2. Click the yellow pencil icon to input mandatory sample Expected Dates or Vendor Notes for selected samples. 3. Click the blue printer icon to print required barcode tags for physical samples and a detailed packing list. 10
Inputting Mandatory Expected Dates & Vendor Notes Input Status All items on your Workhorse dashboard require an Expected Date regardless of Sample Status. Suppliers are to input status updates two days after receiving an initial Workhorse request for samples. Input the Expected Date that samples will be delivered to San Bruno. Input a Vendor Note informing Walmart.com of any exceptions. Example Vendor Notes: Inventory ship 4/8/2017, will Ship Samples 2/12/2017. Sample Production delayed, will ship 6/15/2017. Sample Barcode Tags Generating Barcode Tags and Detailed Packing List Click the blue printer icon just to the right of the Selected Samples Box. The print report dialog box will open. Select Barcode Tags from the Show Results As drop-down menu. 13
Sample Barcode Tags Print Sample Tags Workhorse will automatically generate a PDF of the Barcode Tags. You can print barcode tags on 8.5x11 paper or purchase a Dymo Label Printer. Workhorse Barcode Tags are pre-sized to fit the Dymo 450 Label Printer. Attach tags to the left armpit or left waistband as if you were wearing the garment. This enable samples to easily be scanned as they travel through the photo studio. 14
Sample Packing List How to Obtain Detailed Packing List 1. Click the blue printer icon just to the right of the Selected Samples Box. (This is the same drop-down menu you used to print Barcode Tags.) 2. Select Sample Packing List from the drop-down menu and click Run Report. 3. Workhorse will automatically generate a PDF of detailed Packing List based on the items you ve selected. This is another opportunity to review the data and make sure only items in sample box are on Packing List. 4. Print a copy and enclose it in the sample shipment. You can also save a spare copy for your reference. 15
Sample Status Views Edit Many/Spreadsheet View Click the Samples Needed by Walmart.com button and click the Edit Many/Spreadsheet View. This view is more detailed than the Multiple Select/Side by Side view. The Spreadsheet displays each color on a different row. You can scroll to the right and input Status Updates, Vendor Notes and Tracking information. You will need to copy and paste updates for each color. Remember to click the Update button on the bottom of the page to save your entries. 16
Sample Rejection Rejection Notes from Item Setup Rejection notes are visible in both the Edit Many & Multiple Select Views Common rejection notes include: incorrect size, missing, incorrect color. Items will remain in the Samples needed by Walmart.com bucket until new samples are sent and tracking info has been entered. It is the Supplier s responsibility to review & resolve rejection notes. Send replacements or contact apprist@walmart.com to explain why you are unable to resend. Multiple Select/ Side by Side View Edit Many/ Spreadsheet View 17
Export Reports as CSV for Excel 1. Start at the homepage. 2. Click the Samples Received by Walmart.com button to see all samples received in the past few years in the Edit Many/Spreadsheet view. 3. It is recommended you filter by style number. You can also sort by column headers to navigate to the desired items. 4. Select Spreadsheet CSV Export from the report drop-down located under the Workhorse logo on the left hand side, to the right of the view icons. Click Spreadsheet CSV Export 18
Export Reports as CSV for Excel 5. A dialog box will appear. Click on the link to download a CSV version of the report to use in Excel. Click on this link 6. Open the file in Excel. It will look similar to the sample below. 19
Workhorse Summary Workhorse follows samples and imagery through your workflow and ours, and reports to the Category Manager if their items will be ready to sell by the start date. 1. Automated emails will be sent Monday and it is expected that you take action by that same Wednesday. PAST DUE emails will be received daily. 2. Take action by either: (1) sending samples or (2) inputting Expected Date when you will send. 3. Provide samples at least 60 days prior to start date to allow for timely item setup. 4. You must be in compliance with the process covered in this manual for providing samples to ensure items are ready to sell on time. Samples must be in the correct size and meet all requirements found in the sample requirements document, including: barcode tags printed by workhorse, packing list by workhorse, tracking info completed in workhorse. 5. You may follow up on samples received at Walmart.com by using workhorse. Reach out to the Apparel Item Setup Team if items are not in workhorse or are not appearing correctly at apprist@walmart.com. Reach out to the appropriate Category Specialist if you would like to make changes to Item Name or Copy Points after setup. 20
