Where the schl has reasnable grunds t suspect that a device cntains data which breaches the BYOD Agreement, they may cnfiscate the device fr the purpse f cnfirming the existence f the material. Depending n the nature f the material invlved, further actin may be taken including referral t the plice. Schl disciplinary actin may als be apprpriate. Student BYOD Agreement Prir t cnnecting their devices t the netwrk, students must return a Student BYOD Agreement. This agreement must be signed by the student and by a parent/carer. If a student is living independently f their parents r is 18 years f age r mre, there is n requirement t btain the signature f a parent. It is imprtant t ensure that students are aware f and agree t their bligatins under the Student Bring Yur Own Device (BYOD) Plicy and relevant plicies, prir t using their wn device n the DOE Wi-Fi netwrk. Schl staff shuld endeavur t ensure that the BYOD student respnsibilities are clearly understd by bth students and their parents r carers. The Student BYOD Agreement is a simple dcument with the purpse f acknwledging acceptance and agreement f the terms assciated with the schl's implementatin f the Student Bring Yur Own Device (BYOD) Plicy by bth students and parents/carers. It is accmpanied by an Infrmatin Sheet prvided in cnjunctin with the Student BYOD Agreement. By accepting the terms, the student and parents/carers acknwledge that they: Agree t cmply with the cnditins f the Student BYOD Plicy.
Understand that nncmpliance may result in the student being subject t schl disciplinary actin. Cst t Students Internet access thrugh the Department's netwrk will be prvided at n cst t students enrlled in NSW Public Schls at DOE sites. Student Respnsibilities Students are slely respnsible fr the care and maintenance f their BYO devices. This includes but is nt limited t: Managing battery life and regular charging f their device.
