Devices in UBOSS To associate a UC-One device for a user in the provisioning portal, you must assign one of the following: Business Communicator PC Business Communicator Mobile UC-One Lync The device can be either assigned as a primary device or shared call appearance. If a user has a Windows machine or a MAC, then the user only has to assign 1 Business Communicator PC device as it covers both devices. Likewise if a user has both an Android mobile and an iphone the user only requires 1 Business Communicator Mobile device. Licenses There are 3 different types of UC-One license for the desktop version and are listed as the below in the provisioning portal: App-UC One Desktop App-UC One Desktop (Audio Only) App-UC One Desktop (Audio & Video) There is only 1 type of UC-One License for the mobile version: App-UC One Mobile (Audio & Video) Feature Matrix Dial From Desk Phone Audio Video Mobile Call Through - Optional License Instant Messaging & Presence - Optional License App-UC One Desktop App-UC One Desktop (Audio Only) App-UC One Desktop (Audio & Video) App-UC One Mobile (Audio & Video) To enable Instant Messaging and Presence you need to assign the App-UC One IM&P license in the provisioning portal. To enable the Mobile Call Through service, the Broadworks Mobility license must be assigned. The UC-One Lync version is a stripped down version. You will need to apply one of the APP-BW-UC One Desktop licenses for it to work. Instant Messaging and Presence will not work with this version as the Lync Native Messaging is to be used instead. 4
Logging In. When installed on your Windows or MAC, you will be prompted for a username and password. The username and password are the users login ID and password found under the user details page in the provisioning portal. When the end user has entered the password they are given the option to remember the password and the option to sign in automatically. 5
For the mobile you will be asked for a URL. The URL for the mobile version is: https://apps.voice2000.com Known Issues: If using the iphone mobile client you may experience the following issues: When receiving a call from GSM, this will take preference over the UC-One call. The call in UC- One will be put on hold and will be resumed once the GSM call has finished. This is by design of the ios and is working as Apple intended. If the UC-One app is running in the background, you will not be notified of new calls until the app is running again in the foreground. Again, this is by design of the ios and is working as Apple intended. 6
