UC-One Implementation Guide Regency 5000 - Uc One Implementation Guide 1 V1.00.0004

UC-One Introduction This document is designed as a guide to the various ways to implement UC-One for users on the Regency 5000 hosted platform This guide is designed to show the various services that are required, and how to set these up via the UBOSS provisioning portal. UC-One Variations There are 3 versions of UC-One, Desktop and Mobile and Lync Compatible. The desktop version is designed to work on both Windows PC s and Apple Mac s. The Lync compatible version will only run on Windows PC s The software can be found here: Windows: http://www.rgcltd.co.uk/software-downloads/ MAC: http://www.rgcltd.co.uk/software-downloads/ Lync: TBA When the application is downloaded the user will be prompted for a username and password. This is the same https username and password that users enter into Yealink and Polycom phones to auto provision, and can be found on the Client Business Details Page in the provisioning portal. The Mobile version has an Android and iphone client. These can be downloaded from either the Apple App store or the Google Play store on the user s mobile device. System Requirements Desktop Operating system: Mac OS 10.7 Lion, Mac OS 10.8 Mountain Lion, Mac OS 10.9 Mavericks, Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite, Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8/8.1 (Classical view only). The installation footprint is approximately 125 megabytes (MB) on OSX and 215 MB on Windows. For voice calls, a sound card, speakers, and a microphone or a headset are required For video calls, a web cam is required 2

Minimum system requirements for respective operating systems must be fulfilled, with the following additions: A minimum of 2 GB random access memory (RAM) is required. A minimum 1.5 GHz CPU is recommended, Dual-core CPU is recommended for video calls at a minimum. Open Graphics Library (OpenGL) 1.5 or higher is recommended. For high-definition (HD) video, the following is recommended: HD camera HD resolution support in display Quad Core x86 or equivalent at a minimum Mobile System requirements for Mobile are as follows for Apple ios and Android: Business Communicator Release 21.x for ios supports devices with ios 7 or ios 8 running on iphone 4S and later. The client has been validated on the following reference devices: iphone 4S iphone 5S iphone 6 iphone 6 plus Business Communicator Mobile Release 21.x for ios has not been validated on ipods although these devices match the specifications above and the application should work with the exception of the telephony functions. Business Communicator Mobile Release 21.1.1 for Android supports devices with Android 4 OS or later. For best user experience and specifically for video calling, the following is recommended: Dual core CPU (or higher) 1 GB RAM (or higher) ARMv7 instruction set supported by the CPU (for media capabilities) Minimum screen resolution 320 x 480 The client has been validated on the following reference devices: Google Nexus 5 (LG) OS 5.0 Samsung Galaxy S4 OS 4.4.2 Samsung Galaxy S5 OS 4.4.2 HTC One M8 4.4.4 Google Nexus 6 (Motorola) OS 5.0 3

Devices in UBOSS To associate a UC-One device for a user in the provisioning portal, you must assign one of the following: Business Communicator PC Business Communicator Mobile UC-One Lync The device can be either assigned as a primary device or shared call appearance. If a user has a Windows machine or a MAC, then the user only has to assign 1 Business Communicator PC device as it covers both devices. Likewise if a user has both an Android mobile and an iphone the user only requires 1 Business Communicator Mobile device. Licenses There are 3 different types of UC-One license for the desktop version and are listed as the below in the provisioning portal: App-UC One Desktop App-UC One Desktop (Audio Only) App-UC One Desktop (Audio & Video) There is only 1 type of UC-One License for the mobile version: App-UC One Mobile (Audio & Video) Feature Matrix Dial From Desk Phone Audio Video Mobile Call Through - Optional License Instant Messaging & Presence - Optional License App-UC One Desktop App-UC One Desktop (Audio Only) App-UC One Desktop (Audio & Video) App-UC One Mobile (Audio & Video) To enable Instant Messaging and Presence you need to assign the App-UC One IM&P license in the provisioning portal. To enable the Mobile Call Through service, the Broadworks Mobility license must be assigned. The UC-One Lync version is a stripped down version. You will need to apply one of the APP-BW-UC One Desktop licenses for it to work. Instant Messaging and Presence will not work with this version as the Lync Native Messaging is to be used instead. 4

Logging In. When installed on your Windows or MAC, you will be prompted for a username and password. The username and password are the users login ID and password found under the user details page in the provisioning portal. When the end user has entered the password they are given the option to remember the password and the option to sign in automatically. 5

For the mobile you will be asked for a URL. The URL for the mobile version is: https://apps.voice2000.com Known Issues: If using the iphone mobile client you may experience the following issues: When receiving a call from GSM, this will take preference over the UC-One call. The call in UC- One will be put on hold and will be resumed once the GSM call has finished. This is by design of the ios and is working as Apple intended. If the UC-One app is running in the background, you will not be notified of new calls until the app is running again in the foreground. Again, this is by design of the ios and is working as Apple intended. 6
