1 Overview The Rainbw integratin int Skype fr Business is perated at the client level extending, therefre, the existing Skype fr Business client with Rainbw services: Telephny Services: Take benefit frm the PBX cnnectin t prvide Free/Busy status: Skype presence status is updated with the user s phne free/busy status. Make calls: click-t-call n the user s phne can be dne frm the Skype client. Answer calls: Users answer any ringing calls n their phne directly frm the Skype client. Release call: Users release any active calls n their phne directly frm the Skype client. Call deflectin: Users can deflect any ringing calls t their vicemail. Put n hld: Users may put n-hld any active calls n their phne directly frm the Skype client. And retrieve them as well. Call lg: Users have access t their phne s call lgs directly frm the Skype client. Supprted Skype fr Business versins are the fllwing: Skype fr Business 2015 Skype fr Business 2016 Supprted platfrms are the fllwing (all editins but RT, 32- and 64-bit): Micrsft Windws 7 Micrsft Windws 8.1 Micrsft Windws 10 3 Rainbw Subscriptins Skype fr Business integratin is available fr the Business and Enterprise service plans. If the user wns the free Rainbw versin (Essential service plan), the fllwing errr message is displayed: EN: Yu dn t have the apprpriate subscriptin rights t use Rainbw fr Skype fr Business (a Rainbw Business r Enterprise subscriptin is required). When a message is acknwledged, Rainbw cntrl panel disappears. page 2 f 12

4 Feature Set and Integratin Rainbw is integrated with Skype fr Business via an additinal cntrl pane (Rainbw Desktp applicatin remains clsed fr the End User - app runs as a Windws prcess). Skype fr Business menus is als extended with a click-t-call functin. 4.1 Additinal Pane Rainbw cntrl panel (lcated by default at the bttm f the Skype fr Business windw) lks as fllws: When cnnected, this pane prvides the fllwing functins (frm the left t the right): Display active calls in the fregrund (if they are nt displayed; e.g. Skype fr Business is minimized) The icn is disabled if there is n active call Click t shw r hide the active call windw Call Histry An access t the vicemail A red badge infrms users f unanswered calls r new events Click t shw r hide the call histry windw A red badge infrms users f new vice messages A simple click n this icn autmatically calls the user s vicemail The icn is disabled when the user is cnnected t the vicemail The icn is disabled if there is n vicemail icn assciated with the user Call frward frwarding) Click t set where calls have t be redirected (r cancel call Settings Click t shw r hide the settings windw Versining infrmatin Click t shw r hide the Abut windw Detach (r reattach) Rainbw cntrl panel frm (t) Skype fr Business 4.2 Start, Exit and Sign Out frm Skype fr Business Rainbw pane autmatically starts when Skype fr Business is launched. Users are asked t enter their Rainbw credentials at their very first lgin (refer t the lgin sectin dwn belw in this dcument). Rainbw pane is autmatically clsed when exiting frm Skype fr Business. If the Rainbw pane was detached frm S4B, users see it pening at the very same place when they recnnect. Rainbw pane remains displayed (and its features available) when users sign ut frm Skype fr Business. page 3 f 12

4.3 Click-t-call frm Skype fr Business Menus Mst f the Skype fr Business menus are extended with Rainbw click-t-call actin. 4.3.1 Skype fr Business Cntacts Right-click a cntact and make a phne call: Frm the cntact list Frm the search results Frm the cnversatin histry, etc. Users are able t directly make a phne call frm the menu. A pp-up message displays all the cntact phne numbers fr the user t chse. Fr example: Right-click integratin is nt supprted when multiple cntacts are selected. Direct dialing is als available. Enter r cpy/paste a phne number int the Skype fr Business search field: 4.3.2 Skype fr Business Cnversatins Make a phne call frm the Skype fr Business cnversatin menu: 4.3.3 Cntact withut a Phne Number If there is n phne number assciated with a cntact, the fllwing message is displayed: Call cannt be perfrmed, there is n phne number fr that cntact. 4.4 Phne Presence Phne presence is exchanged at the client level, i.e. between Skype fr Business and Rainbw. When the user makes r receives a phne call, page 4 f 12

Rainbw phne presence is cmmunicated t the Skype fr Business client, s that anyne else lking at the user status sees that this user is n the phne: When engaged in a phne call, yu see: 4.5 Call Presentatin and Calling Party Identificatin When receiving a call n the phne, a pp-up message suggests the user t: Answer the call Ignre the call (the call is diverted t the vicemail when available) Answer with a text message (via the Skype fr Business chat windw). Caller is identified Caller is unknwn Caller Infrmatin is displayed Caller ID is displayed N text media available Calling party identificatin is based n (in this rder): Skype fr Business cntacts (can be favrite cntacts r nt) Micrsft Azure Active Directry (AD) users (Rainbw Enterprise service plan is required) PBX users Outlk cntacts (Rainbw Enterprise service plan is required) page 5 f 12

4.6 Call Management Phne calls are managed with a phne pane. This pane displays the phne activities: Active call Anther call placed n hld The phne pane suggests the user t take cntrl f the call(s) with its desk phne: An active call can be ended with the release call icn An active call can be placed n hld with the hld call icn (nly in single call situatin) When a call is placed n hld, the hld call icn becmes red. Users can retrieve the call by pressing again this icn. A secnd call autmatically places the active call n hld. Press the hld call icn t swap between the active call and the call placed n hld. The transfer between active call and call placed n hld is dne via the transfer call buttn T merge an active call and a call placed n hld int a 3-party cnference call, click the cnference call buttn 4.6.1 Single Call Call is active Call is placed n hld Caller party is displayed. Active call status is displayed. User can: Release the call Place the call n hld Caller party is displayed. Held call status is displayed User can: Retrieve the call 4.6.2 The 3-party & Cnference Calls When users simultaneusly have tw calls (ne active, ne placed n hld), the fllwing actins are available: T place the active call n hld T end the active call T swap the calls (active becmes held, held becmes active) T make a 3-party cnference call T transfer the active call t the crrespndent placed n hld While engaged in a cnference call a user may leave the call whereas the tw ther parties remain cnnected. page 6 f 12

4.7 Call Histry Users have access t the Rainbw call histry via the call histry icn f the Rainbw pane. A ntificatin badge indicates the number f missed calls. This badge disappears when the call histry windw is pened. When the call histry buttn is pressed, the whle histry is displayed (it verlaps the Skype fr Business windw). Cnversatins are chrnlgically listed frm the mst recent t the eldest call, and calls are gruped by cntact. suppress the cntact frm the call histry: 4.8 Call Frwarding Click the expand icn t see all calls frm a cntact. Click again n this icn t reduce the view t the latest event nly. Incming answered call Outging answered call Cancelled call Missed call It s pssible t call the cntact back r Calls can be frwarded t: The vicemail (if available) A predefined phne number (Rainbw user s phne numbers) Or any ther phne number (10 latest phne numbers are saved) means that calls are frwarded t a phne number means that calls are frwarded t the vicemail means that calls are received n the ffice phne (n call frward activated) Calls are autmatically frwarded t the vicemail (if available) if Skype fr Business DND mde is selected. page 7 f 12

4.9 Settings The settings windw enables t cntrl several parameters: Autmatically sign in Rainbw (default ptin) when starting Skype fr Business. If the ptin is nt activated, users have t enter their credentials at each startup. Activate the Micrsft Outlk plug-in (default ptin), s that phne calls are perfrmed thrugh emails r Outlk cntacts. Outlk needs t be restarted when this ptin is changed. Activate htkey dialing (default ptin) and start phne calls frm any Desktp applicatin. Select either Nne and Fn key (0 t 11) (default value is F6) Or select CTRL r SHIFT and an Fn key (0 t 11) Lg ut f Rainbw 4.10 Micrsft Outlk Plug-in When installing Rainbw fr Skype fr Business, an Outlk plug-in is installed by default allwing the user t start phne calls frm Outlk emails r Outlk cntacts. Select an email r a cntact and click n the Audi Call buttn in the Hme tab ribbn: Or right-click an email r a cntact and use the Rainbw Audi Call actin: Or start a phne cnversatin with any recipient f an email. Right-click n the recipient and use the Rainbw Audi Call actin: Call actin is disabled if: The selected cntact has n phne number Skype fr Business is clsed The user is nt cnnected t Rainbw Only an audi call actin is prpsed, as IM, vide and screen sharing are tday managed by Skype fr Business. 4.11 Custmizatin A cmpany may custmize the Rainbw cntrl pane t match their business identity. 4.12 Defense Mechanisms Rainbw cntrl pane warns users in case f netwrk issue r if the Rainbw server is nt reachable. In such cases, an errr message is displayed when starting Skype fr Business r if Skype fr Business is already started: Nte: If Skype fr Business server is nt reachable, Rainbw cntrl pane is nt clsed r disabled, as telephny services can still be used. If a call cannt be perfrmed, the fllwing messages are displayed: There is n netwrk r Rainbw PBX agent is unreachable: Call failed (netwrk issue r cmmunicatin system cannt be jined) The number cannt be reached: Call failed (wrng phne number frmat r phne number cannt be reached) 4.13 Lcalisatin Rainbw fr Skype fr Business is available in 15 languages: Chinese Simplified Chinese Traditinal Dutch English Finnish French German Hebrew Italian Nrwegian Prtuguese Prtuguese Brazilian Spanish Swedish Turkish Rainbw fr Skype fr Business uses the language f Skype fr Business. If Skype fr Business is set int a language that is nt available in Rainbw, English is then adpted instead. page 11 f 12
