Welcome to the Quincy Compressor Virtual Library! Welcome to the Quincy Compressor Virtual Library system provided by RevBase. This webaccessible library contains all your sales, marketing, and technical information database such as marketing materials, sales tools, tech pubs, diagrams, images, service information and more. You can use the library to search, preview, download, order, and e-mail these materials. You can also access other external web-based resources (such as Quincy HQ) from the library. Topics 1. Getting Started You need four things to use the library: A Web Browser with Internet access Acrobat Reader (free download from http://www.adobe.com) An Account Name and Password A Profile to complete physical orders Page 1
2. Accessing the Library To access the library go to www.quincyhq.com, sign in, and then click the Virtual Library tool icon. You may also access the library directly using the below RevBase link: http://www.revbase.com/tagteam/client/login.asp?dbid=1302 When using the RevBase link to directly log in to the library you will need your Account information. Enter your Account Name and Password, then click the Login button (see Figure 1). NOTE: If you need to request an account, use the Request an Account link found on this page. Once your request is approved, you will receive an e-mail with your Account Name and Password. (Figure 1: Login with your Account information) Page 2
If this is your first time logging in or if you are logging in from a different computer, the Create/Access Profile page will appear (see Figure 2a). You will need to sign in to your Profile or create a Profile if you haven t made one yet. NOTE: If you are a new visitor, click the New users click here link to create your Profile. If you already have a Profile, click the Previous users click here link to sign-in to your Profile with your Email address and Profile password (which may differ from your Account password). Creating a Profile provides you with several key benefits: You will have access to the Hot List link found at the top of every page in the library. The Hot List is a quick access menu to view items you add as your Favorite (using the Add to Favorites link) or Subscription (using the Edit Profile link). The library will store your contact information and use it to auto-complete contact information fields on the Checkout Forms for you, saving you time when placing orders for fulfillment. The Portal Page After logging in you will be in your default Portal page, or your default zone of the library (see Figure 3) (Figure 3: Portal page) (Figure 4: The Portal Page) Getting Help in the library: At any time, click the Help link found above each page, to learn more about navigating or using the library. 3. Searching for Items (materials) Search for your desired items (materials) in the library with any of the following methods: You can use the Keyword Search Control to narrow down the items. Enter your desired search text in the Keywords field and then click the Display Results button to display results that match your search text. An additional function with this control is the Full Text Search check box. If checked, the system searches inside all items that are text files (PDF, PowerPoint, Word Document, etc...) for the text matching your search text. If unchecked, the system only searches the library s metadata (text found in the library s text fields such as items title, description, part number, etc...). You can combine the search methods Drop-Down Menus and Keyword Search Control to narrow down the items. By combining the Drop-Down Menus selections with a search text in the Keyword Search Control and then choosing the AND / OR check box. AND will display items of both the combination of search selections and search text, if found. OR will display items of either the search selections or search text, if found. You can use the Tab links, found above the Keyword Search Control, to filter your search to these groups All Publications or Technical Publications Only. You can use the Drop-Down Menus found for each Tab to further filter items by Product, Document Type, Document Title, Document Number, and other criteria for that specific Tab. After making your selection, click the Display Results button to display the results as thumbnail previews with descriptive information or click the List Results button to display the results as a list of rows with descriptive information but no thumbnail previews. Item results will be listed by relevance, with the closest matching the search selection or search text (or highest ranking) on top. Page 6
4. The Gallery View Gallery View lists each of your item search results as a thumbnail image with its corresponding summary of description, misc. data, and links (see Figure 5). You can switch from the Gallery View page to the List View page by clicking the List View link, found above the page. List View lists each of your items into rows with its corresponding data and links but with no thumbnail image preview. (Figure 5: Gallery View) NOTE: By default, thumbnails are sorted in descending order by Date Released but can be changed by using the Sorted By: drop-down menu found at the top center of the page. To see a larger preview of an item s thumbnail image with additional details: Click the item s thumbnail image or the Details link found below it. This will bring you to the Detail View (see Figure 6). In the Detail View page you can use the Zoom link to preview an even larger image of the item s thumbnail image. (Figure 6: Detail View) Page 8
To Download an Item: Click the Download link to save a copy of an Item to your PC. Note the file size and file type. To Email an Item: Click the Email this Item link to send an Item to recipient(s) via email. To add Items to the Shopping Cart: To order or email multiple items at one time use the Shopping Cart. Click the Add to Cart link to add item(s) to the Shopping Cart, so you can send them all in a single email. Besides adding items for electronic fulfillment, you can also add item(s) to the Shopping Cart for physical fulfillment. For example, an item that is a Brochure that needs to be shipped to a recipient. Click the Cart link found above the page to see the list of items you currently have pending on order in your Shopping Cart. This will bring you to the Cart page. Page 9
5. The Cart Page The Cart page lists all your items selected for order (see Figure 7). These items are pending order fulfillment until they are checked out. You may need to change the default Fulfillment Method for each item in this page to your desired fulfillment method, before submitting the order to check out. (Figure 7: Cart page) Page 10
Select a Fulfillment Method for each of the Item in the Cart page: E-Mail Attach: Sends an email with the items as an attachment to your recipient(s). Not recommended for items over 5MB in size. E-mail Link w/ Alert: Sends an email containing a direct link to download your items to your recipient(s) and emails an Alert message to your email when your recipient(s) click the link. Email Web Kit: Sends an email containing a link to a Gallery View style web page listing all items for download, to your recipient(s). E-mail Link: Sends an email containing a direct link to download your item to your recipient(s). Physical: Places an order for physical copies to be shipped to a recipient. You will receive a Confirmation email documenting your order request. This method is only available on items that can be physically fulfilled. If you make changes to any of the items in the Cart page, click the Update Cart button to save these changes before you submit the order to check out. To remove an Item from the Cart: Click the Delete button in the first column named Item, to remove an item from your cart. When you are done editing items and updating the Cart page, click the Checkout button to continue with the order. You will be brought to the Checkout page. Page 11
The Checkout Page The Checkout page is where you submit the order for electronic and/or physical order fulfillment. Checkout Form for electronic order fulfillment: Specify the recipient(s) of your items and submit the order for emailing (see Figure 8). Checkout Form for physical order fulfillment: Specify the recipient with their receiving address for your items and submit the order for shipping. (Figure 8: Checkout page) After completing the checkout form(s), click the Submit button to process your order for fulfillment. The library will send you a confirmation email if your order is successfully processed. Page 12
