1 Amendments/revisions Installation instructions for fieldbus interfaces, field distributors 1.2 Installation instructions for fieldbus interfaces, field distributors 1.2.1 Additional connection options with MFZ.6, MFZ.7 and MFZ.8 field distributors The DC 24 V supply is connected with an X29 terminal block with two M4 x 12 studs and a pluggable X40 terminal. 1141387787 The X29 terminal block can be used as an alternative to the X20 terminal (see chapter "Unit structure") for looping through the DC 24 V supply voltage. Both studs are connected internally to the 24 V connection at terminal X20. This setup allows for operating a MOVIMOT drive with FS marking in safety applications. You find detailed information in the "MOVIMOT..D Functional Safety" manual. Function Operating notes 2 2 Function 2.1 Operating notes WARNING Electric shock caused by dangerous voltages at the connections, cables and motor terminals. When the device is switched on, dangerous voltages are present at the connections as well as at any connected cables and motor terminals. This also applies even when the device is inhibited and the motor is at standstill. Severe or fatal injuries. Do not switch under load. Before performing any work on the device, disconnect it from the voltage supply. Note that dangerous voltages can occur at the terminals and connections for up to 1 minute after the controller is switched off. Block the output stage of the inverter before switching at the output of the device. WARNING Electric shock from capacitors that have not been fully discharged. Severe or fatal injuries. Disconnect the inverter from the power. Observe the minimum switch-off time after disconnection from the supply system: 1 minute WARNING Risk of crushing if the motor starts up unintentionally. Severe or fatal injuries Observe the startup instructions. Deactivate all control signals. WARNING Danger of burns due to hot surfaces of the device (e.g. the heat sink). Serious injuries. Do not touch the device until it has cooled down sufficiently. INFORMATION The maximum output frequency in any operating mode is 120 Hz. If the maximum output frequency is exceeded, the status LED of the MOVIMOT inverter flashes slowly red (error 08 "speed monitoring"). Revision Fieldbus Interfaces, Field Distributors 5

MOVIMOT device replacemen t 3 Service Inspection and maintenance 3 Service 3.1 Inspection and maintenance 3.1.1 MOVIMOT inverter The MOVIMOT inverter is maintenance-free. SEW EURODRIVE does not prescribe any inspection or maintenance work for the MOVIMOT inverter. Exception: For extended storage, refer to the instructions in the "Service" > "Extended storage" chapter. 3.1.2 Motor The motor requires regular inspection and maintenance work. Observe the notes and instructions in chapter "Inspection/Maintenance" of the motor operating instructions. 3.1.3 Gear units (only for MOVIMOT gearmotors) The gear unit requires regular inspection and maintenance work. Observe the notes and instructions in chapter "Inspection/Maintenance" of the gear unit operating instructions. 3.1.4 Repairs Only SEW-EURODRIVE is authorized to carry out repairs. 3.2 MOVIMOT device replacement INFORMATION For information on the device replacement of the MOVIMOT inverter, refer to the "MOVIMOT..D" operating instructions. 6 Revision Fieldbus Interfaces, Field Distributors
