Chapter 3 SSA ECM Issues 3 This section lists details of known issues for SSA ECM 8.0 SP4 GA. ECM is now integrated with ERP LN. It is now possible to perform ECM actions on ERP LN objects when accessed from ECM on-line. In order to access ECM from ERP LN FP2, it is required to implement solution 211318. ECM closed issues Functional Area Routing line fields Export item with reference designation SSA Support System/ Internal ID Request: PLM-00000-00331 Inquiry: 341345 Request: PLM-00000-00207 Description The ERP object routing line that is displayed in ECM contains the Sequence No field. in addition to the Position field. Both fields are part of the object key. When exporting an item structure to Excel in ECM, not all reference designators were shown in Excel output.

3-2 SSA ECM Issues Functional Area SSA Support System/ Internal ID Description Classification Inquiry: 374314 Request: PLM-00000-00277 Classification attribute was not visible for a document in ECM. This problem is now resolved. Access to ERP objects Security ERP objects Inquiry: 393595 Request: PLM-00000-00305 Inquiry: 305642 Request: PLM-00000-00126 Request: PLM-00000-00187 Using ECM via Paperclip from ERP required PDM user to be defined as Approver. Otherwise, an error message was displayed. This problem is now resolved. The password was visible in the ECM log files on the ECM server. This problem is now resolved. In ECM, if lines were requested, the.header was displayed instead This problem is now resolved. ECM limitations Functional Area SSA Support System/ Internal ID Description Use of Netscape 9770 A number of operations do not work according to expected user interface standards due to limitations of the Netscape browser. Print limitations 9784 9785 17884 In some circumstances, viewing/printing with IE 5.5 and Netscape 6.2 does not work correctly. View attached files 9790 When using Netscape 6.2, files added to ERP objects do not appear unless the user closes and reopens the browser.

SSA ECM Issues 3-3 Functional Area SSA Support System/ Internal ID Description Maintain routing limitation Netscape and selecting objects Administrator updates Netscape and.xml files 10724 From the Maintain Routing (tirou2110m000) session, ECM actions will always relate to the first operation number and the first sequence where the Expiry Date is empty. The ECM action will not relate to the operation number/ sequence number selected by the user. This may be corrected by installing the customized script tirou2110, which will be provided upon request. 13504 Selecting an object from the object list session requires two mouse clicks when working with Netscape. 13589 Administrators must make sure that all users have exited their SSA ECM sessions before performing administrator-related system updates. 14248 It is not possible to view.xml files when using Netscape because Netscape does not support an XML viewer. Single click for tasks 14933 Due to a Netscape limitation, in some cases a second mouse click on a task link is required to access the link. Viewing files whose names contain the % character ECM connection details Refresh required to view data 15799 You must use the Express Viewer or the 3D PLM Viewer option to view files whose names contain the % character. The standard View File option does not support file names containing this character. 17611 ECM connections remain in the Connection Manager list (even though no longer used), after the user has disconnected from ECM. 17884 In some cases, due to an IE limitation, a blank screen appears when data is expected. Clicking the refresh button resolves the problem.

3-4 SSA ECM Issues Functional Area SSA Support System/ Internal ID Description Customization 18059 You should be careful not to create reference attributes pointing to SSA PDM tables that are not yet supported by SSA ECM, for example, Suppliers. Multibyte characters DC#354 It is currently not possible to create PDM objects that use multibyte characters as part of the object ID. Web Impact Analysis limitations Open issues will be addressed with the release of service packs, according to customer requirements, technical effort, and feasibility. Functional Area SSA Support/ Internal ID Description Item IDs with nonstandard characters 18020 It is currently not possible to Impact Analysis against ERP items with IDs that contain nonstandard characters, for example, " & % # + Web Export limitations Open issues will be addressed with the release of service packs, according to customer requirements, technical effort, and feasibility. Functional Area Export of multiple files with the same name SSA Support/ Internal ID 1121784/ 17530 Description Currently, if multiple files with the same name are exported, only the last file exported is retained.

Chapter 4 Additional Documentation 4 This section provides information about the behavior of the system that has not yet been added to the user documentation. Revisions and attaching files to objects When files are attached to ERP objects independently of a business process, a new document revision is created for every file attached. However, from within a business process, multiple files can be attached to an ERP object without causing a new document revision to be created. A new revision is only created when the business process ends. Item IDs and service order activity objects When files are attached to service order objects, the ID of the related item is created according to the following rules, based on the value of the Model (Item) field (tssoc210.cmdl):! If the Model field is empty, the value of the Derived Item (tscfg200.item) field referenced from the Object (tssoc210.crob) field.! If the Derived Item field is empty, the value of the Object (tssoc210.crob) field, truncated to length 38. The object may be empty, resulting in a blank value for the item ID.
