File Manager The File Manager in the Multi Client version of ACA 1095 Reporting can be accessed from the home screen toolbar or off the File menu. Page 1
Opening Files The File Manager displays all ACA 1095 Reporting client files that are located in your default data folder and any files that might have been manually added to the list. From this list you can select a file by double-clicking on it (or by highlighting the file and then clicking the Open button on the toolbar). Alternatively, you can browse your computer for a particular file by choosing that option under the Open icon. Page 2
Adding Files Files can be added to the list by using the Add button. The Add button allows you to create a new file to be added to the list or an existing file can be added to the list by simply browsing to the location and selecting the file. Page 3
Removing and Deleting Files To remove a file from the list, click the Remove icon. Removing the file from the list does not delete the file, it simply removes it from the File Manager. To actually delete a file, choose the Delete Selected File option. The Remove Missing Files option will also scan your data folders and remove any missing files. If you move your data files to a new location, the program optionally can remove all files from the File Manager list. Data folders can then be re-scanned for data files by using the Refresh option. Choosing Data Folders When the Folders button is clicked from the File Manager you can designate folders that you would like to include as data folders. As new ACA 1095 Reporting client files are created in these folders, the new files are added automatically to your File Manager. The Refresh option also scans the data locations and adds new files and removes missing or deleted files from the File Manager Listing. You can change the default data location by checking the Set as Default check box next to the paths (if you have more than one listed). You can optionally include subfolders to be scanned next to a location by checking that box. Page 5
Refreshing the File Manager List The Refresh button will update the File Manager and add any files that have been created that are not in the list and remove any missing files from the listing based on the default data location and any other locations that may have been previously added using the Folders option.. You can also set any location where data files are found to be the default data location. Page 8
