Toshiba Strata CIX200 RAR5.20 MT069.00 IP PBX Configuration Guide 1 Introduction This document describes how to configure the Toshiba IP PBX to interoperate with the Charter network. It does not provide any information for provisioning, configuring or using the features of the Toshiba IP PBX. Please refer to the documentation provided with the IP PBX or contact the vendor. 2 Configuration 2.1 Initial System Setup The initial setup involves setting up the IP Configuration. To setup the initial system, follow the step-by step procedure. 1 In the Toshiba Network Manager Under 916 IP Configuration IP Address: Subnet Mask: Default Gateway: Enter the appropriate IP address Enter the appropriate subnet mask Enter the appropriate default gateway 2 Click Submit button 3 Go to the next table 1

1 After finding the cabinet and slot information for the MPU 2 Click System at the top menu Cabinet and slot assignement screen opens Select Card Assignment from the drop-down menu 3 Go to the next table 1 Cabinet and slot assignement screen 0101 is an example Cabinet Slot Enter appropriate cabinet number Enter appropriate slot number 2 Click Assign button 3 Go to the next table 2

1 Click IP Telephony at the top menu Select L/M/G IPU Configuration The IP-Telephoney IPU Configuration screen opens from the drop-down menu 2 Set the following parameters under 161 L/M/G IPU Configuration 00 Cabinet & Slot Number Enter 0101 as an example 01 IPU IP Address Enter the IP address that is on the same subnet as the LAN interface IP address 02 IPU Subnet Address Enter the netmask as the LAN IP Address 03 IPU Default Gateway Address Enter the same gateway IP address as the LAN IP Address 3 Click the Submit button 4 Procedure completed 3

2.2 SIP Trunk Setup To setup SIP trunks, follow the step-by-step procedure. 2.2.1 Channel Group Setting 1 Click IP Telephony at the top menu 326 SIP Trunk Assignment screen opens Select SIP Trunking from the drop-down menu 2 In the Channel Group Setting tab Create New Station Web Page dialog popup screen opens Click Create button at the bottom of the screen 3 Enter the index value you want to create: Enter 1 4 Click OK button Return to 326 SIP Trunk Assignment screen opens 5 Go to the next table 4

1 326 SIP Trunk Assignment screen fill out the following parameters a 01 Equipment: Enter 0101 b 02 LAN Interface Number Select 1 c 03 SIP Trunk Channels Select 5 d 04 RBT on Incoming Call: Select Enable 2 Click Submit button 3 Go to the next table 5

2.2.2 Service Definition 1 Click the Service Definition tab 2 Click Create button at the bottom of the screen 327 SIP TRUNK Service Kind ASSIGNMENT screen opens 3 Fill out the following parameters: a 01 Registration Mode: Select None b 02 ILG: Select 2 c 03 OLG: Select 2 d 04 Effective Channel Number: Select 3 e 05 Domain Name: Enter the appropriate domain name 10.70.88.4 is an example 4 Click Submit button 5 Go to the next table 6

2.2.3 Service Assignment 1 Click the Service Assignment tab 2 Fill out the following parameters: a 00 Channel Group: Select 1 b 02 Service Index: Select 11 3 Click Set button The Service Index value will show up in the list 4 Go to the next table 7

2.2.4 URI 1 Click the URI tab 328 SIP SERVICE ASSIGNMENT screen opens 2 Fill out the following parameters: a 00 SIP URI Trunk Service Index: Select 11 b 01 SIP URI Index: Select 1 c 02 SIP URI Enter external DID d 03 SIP URI User Name Enter User Name 3 Click Add button Sets the first index 4 Procedure completed 2.3 Inbound Routing To setup inbound routing, follow the step-by-step procedure. 1 At the top menu 304 IN COMING LINE Group Assignment screen opens click Trunk Select ILG 2 Click Create button Create New Station Webpage Dialog popup opens 3 Enter the Index value you want to create: Enter 2 4 Click OK button Return to 304 IN COMING LINE Group Assignment screen 8

5 Go to next table 1 Set the follow parameters a 01 Group Type: SIP b 03 CO Service Type: DID c 11 DID Digits: 4 2 Click Submit button 3 Procedure completed 9

2.4 Outbound Routing To setup outbound routing, follow the step-by-step procedure. 1 At the top menu 306 OUTGOING LINE Groups screen opens click Trunk Select OLG 2 Click Create button Create New Station Webpage Dialog popup opens 3 Enter the Index value you want to create: Enter 2 4 Click OK button Return to 306 OUTGOING LINE Groups screen 5 Go to next table 10

2.5 Inward Dialing Plan To setup the inward dialing plan, follow the step-by-step procedure. 1 At the top menu 309 Direct Dialing screen opens click Trunk Select DID 2 Click Create button Create New Station Webpage Dialog popup opens 3 Enter the Index value you want to create: Enter 5386 4 Click OK button 309 Direct Dialing screen opens 5 Go to next table 1 Set the following parametes: a ILG Group Number: 2 b 05 Audio Day1 Dst Type: Select Dialing Digits c 05 Audio Day1 Dst Type: Enter 216 d 06 Audio Day1 Dst Type: Select Dialing Digits e Audio Day1 Dst Digits: Enter 216 f 07 Audio Day1 Dst Type: Select Dialing Digits g Audio Day1 Dst Digits: Enter 216 2 Click Submit button 3 Procedure completed 12

2.6 Station Setup To station setup, follow the step-by-step procedure. 1 At the top menu 260 Full IP Station Assignment screen opens click Station Select Station Assignments 2 Click Create button Create New Station Webpage Dialog popup opens 3 Click the radio button for Prg 260: IPT_L or SIP or IP_VA or IP_ATT or IP_VM or VM SIP 4 Enter: 218 5 Click OK button Return to 260 Full IP Station Assignment screen opens 6 Go to next table 13
