Dataprise Managed Anti-Spam Console The easy-to-use solution for managing junk and virus-infected email. Use this guide to get started using your personal dashboard. # WinningWithIT
What is the Personal Dashboard? What is the personal dashboard? To prevent unwanted messages from reaching your email inbox, your email protection service filters all incoming email for junk and virus-infected messages, before they reach your inbox. Legitimate messages are delivered to your inbox as usual, but unwanted and potentially harmful messages are diverted and quarantined at your control console. You can visit your dashboard to review and retrieve quarantined messages by logging into antispam.dataprise.net from any standard web browser. How do I log in? The first time you access your anti-spam quarantine, you will need to click Click here to sign up on the login screen. You will then provide your email address and a new password of your choosing. What should I do first? When you first log in to your personal dashboard, you arrive at the Quarantined Messages tab. This lists all messages, if any, that were quarantined for the current day. Here is where you can release or delete any messages that reside here. You can also view the contents of any messages within this screen prior to releasing or deleting it.
Changing Digest Settings You can go to the Settings tab in order to change when you receive your Anti-Spam digest. Normally, you will receive this once daily. However, you can change it to only send once weekly. You can still see spam by logging into your Personal Dashboard at any time. You can also change which Spam zones are displayed. When to use sender lists You do not normally need to add addresses to these lists, as your junk email filters are accurate without them. However, there are a few cases when these lists can be very helpful. Add senders to your Friends list if messages from the sender(s) resemble junk email and have been falsely identified as SPAM and quarantined. If you belong to a mailing list or newsgroup where multiple people email each other using the same TO address, you will want to add that address to the Friends list.
Frequently Asked Questions Can I safely view contents of quarantined messages? Yes. Double clicking on any message to view it does not transfer the message to your inbox, so you can safely view contents of junk email at your dashboard without risking harm to your computer. How are messages identified as junk? Before any message reaches your inbox, the email protection service evaluates it for junk-like content, and gives it a score indicating its probability for being junk email. The service then compares this score with tolerance levels set by your junk filters, and messages exceeding this tolerance are quarantined. Does anyone read my quarantined email? No. All scanning and filtering is done automatically, in a matter of milliseconds, so nobody at your email protection service actually reads your messages. What kinds of viruses does Dataprise Anti-Spam protect me from? Anti-Spam blocks viruses, worms, and other types of malicious file attachments, which are quarantined, placed within the Red Zone, or automatically discarded when applicable. We use highly accurate anti-virus technology to identify virus-infected messages and prevent them from reaching your inbox. How often is anti-virus protection updated? The Dataprise Mail Protection team is always checking for new outbreaks and trends, so you can be sure that you re protected from the latest security threats.
