Advantys ETB IP67 Ethernet Digital I/O Modules Overview The Advantys ETB is a product family of IP67 rated digital I/O modules that allows direct connection to the Ethernet Modbus TCP/IP network. Since these modules are IP67 watertight rated, they can be mounted directly onto machines or equipment without the need for an enclosure. The Ethernet Communications and I/O signals are connected through M12 connectors. The power supply is connected through a 7/8 threaded connector and includes power daisy chain capability. Compared to the traditional wire and connector system, these connectors allow for fast device connection and maintain the IP67 rating, when used with the M12 threaded or quick release connectors. Eliminating the for the need of an I/O module enclosure and the fast connections for Power, I/O signals, and Communications reduces the installed cost of these modules when compared to the traditional IP 20 rated I/O modules The Ethernet Modbus TCP/IP communications capabilities for these modules include features such as a built-in 2 Ethernet switch that enables daisy chain connections to the modules, while eliminating the need for an external switch. Other features include 10/100 Mbps communication rate, auto sensing, built-in web server capabilities, and a flexible IP address set up method. The IP address for the module can be set using a BootP or DHCP server, or a static address using the push buttons and built-in display or through the Modbus commands. The built-in 4 character scrolling provides information such as the modules IP address, the method of how the IP address is set, and diagnostic information.
