Introduction Overview Description Ecoreach TM software helps you to manage a project as part of designing, testing, commissioning, and maintenance phases of the project life cycle. The innovative features in it provide simple ways to configure, test and commission the smart electrical devices. Ecoreach automatically discovers the smart devices and allows to add the devices for an easy configuration. You can generate comprehensive reports as part of Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test to replace your heavy manual work. Additionally, when the panels are under operation, any change of settings made can be easily identified and hence provides a system consistency during the operation and maintenance phase. NOTE: Ecoreach is not recommended to be used as a 24/7 operations software. Features Ecoreach supersedes the Schneider Electric customer engineering tools such as the Remote Setting Utility (RSU) and Remote Control Utility (RCU) with additional features. Ecoreach supports the connection of Schneider Electric devices to: Create projects by device discovery Save the project in the Ecoreach cloud for reference Upload settings to the device and download settings from the device Compare the settings between the project and device Perform control actions in a secured way Generate and print device settings report Perform a communication wiring test on the entire project and generate and print test report View the communication architecture between the devices in graphical representation View the measurements, logs, and maintenance information Export Waveform capture (WFC) View the status of device and IO module View the alarm details Buy, install, or remove digital modules Check system firmware compatibility status Upgrade to the latest device firmware Compatible Devices Ecoreach is compatible with the following devices: Masterpact TM NT/NW (IEC and UL) circuit breaker Masterpact TM MTZ (IEC) circuit breaker Compact TM NSX 100-630 (IEC) circuit breaker PowerPact TM H-, J-, and L- frame (UL) circuit breaker PowerPact TM M-, P-, and R- frame (UL) circuit breaker Compact NS 630b-3200A (IEC) circuit breaker Acti 9 Smartlink (Modbus, Ethernet, and SI B) Power Meters (PM5100, PM5300, PM5500, iem3000, and iem2000 series) 12 DOCA0069EN 10/2016

Compatibility Check of Device/Firmware and Corrective Actions Overview When the ULP modules are upgraded with new functionalities, you need to check the compatibility of the different modules in the IMU system. The Overall System firmware status table helps you to diagnose and identify all discrepancy issues in the ULP modules. This table also provides the recommended actions relevant to the detected discrepancies. NOTE: You can perform this compatibility check only when the device is connected. Overall System Firmware Status To view the firmware status, click Firmware in the Device view (see page 35). The Overall System firmware status displays the following compatibility table. Legend Name Description A Module Lists the ULP modules of the connected device. B Status Displays the compatibility status of the module inside the system. C Current Version Displays the current firmware version installed in the module. D Latest Version Displays the latest firmware version available for upgrade. E Recommended Action Provides the solution for the discrepancies. F Refresh Updates the changes done as per the recommended action. Status Icons Status identifies the discrepancy conditions within the ULP modules. Module Status Nominal Non-critical firmware discrepancy or Non-critical hardware discrepancy Critical firmware discrepancy Critical hardware discrepancy or Hardware degraded Stop or Conflict DOCA0069EN 10/2016 71

Recommended Actions The Recommended Action provides solution to recover from a compatibility discrepancy situation. Each discrepancy has a generic pre-defined recommended action. The table lists the recommended actions for discrepancy conditions of the ULP module. Module Status Description Recommended Action to be Performed Nominal The ULP module is in nominal mode. Remove duplicate module Refresh After performing a recommended action for a specific discrepancy, you can click the Refresh button to update the changes in the Overall System firmware status. 72 DOCA0069EN 10/2016

Firmware Management Overview You can update the firmware for the Micrologic control unit of Masterpact MTZ, Micrologic trip units of Compact NSX, and Powerpact H-, J-, L-frame circuit breaker ranges from the Firmware settings in the Device view (see page 35). You can upgrade the firmware of the below modules: Micrologic X control unit (Masterpact MTZ) NSX Micrologic trip unit IFM IFE/EIFE interface Maintenance module (UTA) STR7 layer FDM121 display module firmware and languages BCM ULP module IO modules (two modules) Acti 9 Smartlink Modbus Acti 9 Smartlink Ethernet Acti 9 Smartlink SI B (Ethernet Zigbee) NOTE: It is recommended to first update firmware for the communication modules like IFM, IFE, EIFE or BCM ULP. Signed Firmware NOTE: The signed firmware check is performed only for the following devices: Micrologix X control unit IO module IFE EIFE All firmware designed for the Masterpact MTZ IMU is signed using the Schneider Electric public key infrastructure. The digital signatures can be authenticated using the public certificate that is present in Ecoreach software. When firmware upgrades are uploaded to the Masterpact MTZ IMU, the Micrologic X control unit also automatically verifies the digital signature of the upgrade package. This verification is done using the public certificate present in the Ecoreach. For security reasons, public certificates are subject to change. Therefore, it is a major security requirement and it is your responsibility to check that the latest version of Ecoreach software is used to download and install firmware upgrades. Only the latest version of Ecoreach software uses a valid certificate. Upgrading Firmware - ULP Modules You can upgrade the firmware of all the ULP modules as follows.
