Getting Started Thank you for signing up with RadioLoyalty. In order to start earning premium revenue, the first few steps are setting up your UniversalPlayer and then placing our launch code on your website. Once set up, you can login to your administrative dashboard to see your daily earnings. It's really that simple! Below are instructions on setting up your UniversalPlayer. Creating your UniversalPlayer Station Configurator Click Create a New Station on the Station Listing Page. These settings can be modified later by clicking the Edit button (Yellow Pencil). Updated October 2012 Page - 2
General Information - Configurator Step 1 Enter your Station Name and Station Website Address. The custom buttons are links you can add to your player that will direct listeners to webpages such as DJ Info or Playlist pages (if you have them). Updated October 2012 Page - 3
Station Settings - Configurator Step 2 Choose the information that represents your station. To select multiple Station Keywords and Target Ages, hold down the Ctrl key as you select them. Select your Advertisement Content rating. General This setting will deliver ad content acceptable to a general audience. RadioLoyalty monitors content to prevent inappropriate/explicit ads, some advertisements may contain suggestive content. Strict This setting will limit the ad content to prevent any/all ads that could be considered offensive to any listeners including children and faith based audiences. Updated October 2012 Page - 4
Station Logo - Configurator Step 3 Click Browse to search your local machine for your Station Logo. Once uploaded, you can click on the image to the right for resizing via the handles that appear (see the small squares), final dimensions are 300x100px Player Theme - Configurator Step 4 Choose from a Default Theme or select Custom Colors to match your station s look and feel. *NOTE: All links and buttons must be visible, so do not choose conflicting colors. Creating Your Player Configurator Step 5 When you are done setting up your player, be sure to set your player LIVE by clicking the red circle under the word Live. Before setting your player live, please verify that the player displays correctly and has working audio. Updated October 2012 Page - 6
Adding Your Launch Icon After clicking Add a player you the Create Player page will pop up. In the lower right corner you will notice a button that says Set Launch Icon you will click this and have the option to choose a RadioLoyalty Launch Icon or upload a Custom Icon. Use an existing RadioLoyalty Icon Using the scroll bar on the right, scroll down and choose the launch icon that will match the look and feel of your webpage. Updated October 2012 Page - 7
Upload a custom launch icon Click Browse and select an image you have saved on your computer. Then Click Save Image. You will see your launch Icon appears in box on the right. Select your image and Click Save and Close Updated October 2012 Page - 8
Using RadioLoyalty Unlimited Icecast Stream 1. Click Add a Player. 2. Click Get Unlimited Icecast Streaming. 3. Select your Ad Insertion. Select None if you are not using one. 4. Select your Automation Type. 5. Select your KBPS. This is the bit rate for your stream. Please select one that your server/connection is capable of handling. 6. Add your e-mail address on the lower left corner. 7. Click Save. If you save your information before setting up your encoder, it prevents having to redo anything if you encounter any problems. 8. Click the Edit button (Pencil) to reopen the page to retrieve your encoder information. 9. Copy and paste your information to your encoder and start encoding. Updated October 2012 Page - 9
Using a Shoutcast Stream 1. Click Add a Player. 2. Select your Ad Insertion. Select None if you are not using one. 3. Select your Automation Type. 4. Select your Stream Provider. 5. Select your Stream Type, Shoutcast. In order to select Shoutcast In-Stream, you will need to install a cross domain policy server on your distribution server. Contact Broadcaster Support for help or refer to the In-Stream page in your account. 6. Select your Stream File Type. The easiest method is to select Address Only and put the direct link to your stream. 7. Select your KBPS. This is the bit rate for your stream. 8. Enter your Stream Address. For Shoutcast streams, you need to add a /; after the stream address. Example: http://12.123.12.12:80/; 9. Enter your title and artist stream. For RadioLoyalty to read song and artist data, you need to enter a /7.html after the stream. Example: http://12.123.12.12:80/7.html 10. Click Save. Updated October 2012 Page - 10
Using an Icecast Stream 1. Click Add a Player. 2. Select your Ad Insertion. Select None if you are not using one. 3. Select your Automation Type. 4. Select your Stream Provider. 5. Select your Stream Type, Icecast. In order to select Icecast In-Stream, you will need to install a cross domain policy server on your distribution server. Adding the UniversalPlayer to your website On the main station listings page click View Streams. Here you will be able to access the direct URL to your UniversalPlayer, Get Script to copy the script for your website (Get Script is also available on step 5 of the station configurator), and toggle stations off/on.
