1 INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING THE FACEBOOK BBB DYNAMIC SEAL February 2017

2 INTRODUCTION Installing the BBB Dynamic seal on your facebook page allows you to broadcast and advertise your BBB Accreditation and Rating. This is a medium that can help Accredited Businesses increase consumer confidence, market presence, credibility and ultimately sales. DOWNLOADING THE SEAL STEP 1: Go to the Dynamic Seal Link sent to you from the BBB and add in your Business ID in order to download the seal. Be sure to read and check the Terms of Use. Click on to the Next Step to customize the Dynamic Seal for download. Page 2

3 STEP 2: a. On this page, you are given options on how to customize your BBB Dynamic Seal. Be sure to select the "IFrame / Office Live" option in the Advanced Installations section. Any changes you set with the Orientation, Size, Rating and Color options of your Seal will automatically be reflected in the image in the upper right section as a Preview of your BBB Seal. b. Once you have decided on how you would like your BBB Dynamic Seal to look, click on the Save and Download button. This will show you the code and BBB Seal that you will be installing later. Page 3

4 STEP 3a: After clicking on the Save and Download button you will be shown the BBB Dynamic Seal code and Seal logo. Click the link that says click here for secure [SSL/https] code. This updates the part of the code to (This step is required to successful install your BBB Seal on your facebook page) STEP 3b: Keep this page open. In the following steps you will be required to: 1. Copy and paste the BBB Dynamic Seal Code to your facebook page and 2. Right click and save the BBB Seal logo to your desktop. Then upload to your page Page 4

5 STEP 3c: Copy and paste this URL into a new tab in your browser. Right click the BBB Seal image and save the image to your computer in an easily accessible location. You will be uploading this image into facebook later. Page 5

6 INSTALLING THE BBB DYNAMIC SEAL CODE In order to install the facebook BBB Dynamic seal you will need administrator access to your company page. STEP 4a: Open a new tab or browser for facebook. Login to your facebook account. STEP 4b: Open another tab in your browser and paste in following link into the address bar: Click the Install Page Tab button: Page 6

7 STEP 4c: Add page tab. On this screen, click the dropdown to choose the facebook page where you want to add the BBB Dynamic Seal. If there are multiple business pages, you may need to return to the step above after installing each one. Page 7

8 Tab Settings STEP 5a: facebook will return to your company page and will display the new "Welcome" tab. You should see the "Welcome" tab selected and the Tab Settings open. Page 8

9 STEP 5b: In tab settings, paste the html code copied in Step 3a, be sure to change to in the appropriate place. Page 9

10 STEP 5c: While still in tab settings scroll down and enter "Our BBB Rating" in the Tab Name. Page 10

11 STEP 5d: While still in tab settings, click on Change Tab Image, then click on the Browse button. Locate the BBB Seal file previously saved to your computer in STEP 3c then click the Open. Page 11

12 STEP 5e: Select the Save Settings button at the bottom right corner of the tab settings. Page 12

13 STEP 5f: Select Grant Permission to Application button: STEP 5g: At this point the installation is complete. You may need to refresh your facebook page to see the updated tab now called "Our BBB Rating". Page 13

14 TESTING STEP 6: If you need to go back into the Tab Settings to make any adjustments you can access those options by click on this Settings link while on your "Our BBB Rating" tab. Your BBB Seal now will show in the "Our BBB Rating" tab. If you click on "Our BBB Rating" image it will open up your BBB Business Profile.
