Designers need to prepare concepts and advertisements to promote brands, products and services. This course is a complete package to grow the graphic artist in you. Learn design applications and functions tools that are used to create marketing collaterals and advertisements to promote brands, products or services. Participants will work with print, pictures and patterns on flat (2-D) surfaces and how to combine words and images; developing both technical skills and visual communication skills. Use the technique of space, colour balance, typography, shapes, and styles to create the right message. LEARNING OUTCOMES Upon completion of this course, participants will: Have a comprehensive understanding of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign (Version: Creative Cloud). Be able to use these fast, flexible tools to create creative design and graphics with Illustrator for use in print. Be able to edit, retouch and manipulate images and photography with Photoshop. Images produced in Photoshop will be prepared for use in printed matter. Be able to apply image manipulations and text formatting for page-layout with InDesign. Be able to work with 2D Surfaces combining different words and images to effectively communicate the right message to the target audience.

ABOUT THE TRAINER Queenie Yaw Creative Director of IE Asia Sdn Bhd Queenie holds a Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design from Wanganui Polytechnic, conjoint with the University of Wakaito, New Zealand of which she achieved Distinction for Academic Achievement. Having completed her studies, Queenie lectured full time at an art academy, specializing in Adobe suites before assuming the position of an Art Director at Coda Advertising Sdn Bhd. After a couple of years, Queenie moved back into the lecturing field and joined IACT College as a full-time lecturer, lecturing on Graphic Design and Computer Graphics. Queenie is currently the Creative Director for IE Asia Sdn Bhd and also consults others on a freelance basis. Queenie has more than 10 years of Graphic Design and Training experience.

Certain graded assignments will contribute to your final grade. Upon successfully passing the final grade, participants will receive a Certificate of Achievement. Otherwise, a certificate of attendance will be given if the participant attends more than 75% of the course.

REGISTRATION POLICY 1. Kindly note that all registrations are considered confirmed bookings. 2. In the event that a participant is unable to attend, a replacement delegate can be sent or the seat can be deferred upon appeal. 3. Deferment to the next intake will only be allowed under special circumstances, subject to the discretion of the management of TAP. 4. A deferment to the next intake of a given course will be accompanied by an administration fee of RM200. Any given seat can only be deferred to a maximum duration of 12 months from the initial course starting date. 5. No refunds will be issued for no-shows or cancellations. 6. TAP reserves the right to change or cancel this course due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case payment received will either be refunded or credited into future courses.
