Please refer to your unique 15-character software serial number (found as part of the license file name) for future reference regarding this product. SOFTWARE INSTALLED Software is installed and running on the intended host PC that meets/exceeds the system requirements (Operating System, Processor, Memory, Network, Graphics, Hard Disk Space) b. CORRECT HOST PC Software license file is being applied to the intended host PC which was registered. c. COMPATIBLE VERSION Software license file is being applied to the intended host PC using the same software version. Instructions on How to Apply the Software License Summary: Under Six (6) Steps to License.. (All Versions) The following six (6) or less steps are required to license your software: STEP #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 #6 INSTRUCTIONS FOR LICENSING VICTOR After registration, save your license file onto the host PC with the installed software. (e.g. V4.6 license would be _v46_x64_essxxxxxxxxxxxx_esslicense.lic) Launch the software used to manage the license (Run as administrator): V4.6/4.5 START > All Programs > Tyco > Licensing V4.4/4.3 START > All Programs > Tyco > > License V4.2 START > All Programs > Tyco > > Server Configuration V4.1/4.0 START > All Programs > Tyco > site manager Add the new license file: V4.6/4.5 Click <Add new license> on the Unified tab of License V4.4/4.3 Click <Add new license> on the tab of License V4.2 Click <Add new license> on the Licensing tab of Server Configuration V4.1/4.0 Click <Add new license> on the Licensing tab of site manager Note: In the event that the software does not automatically rename the older license files (e.g. V4.2, V4.1, V4.0), then you must go to the default license folder to rename or delete the older license files (e.g. default StormSurge_00.lic) so that only one valid license is present. Exit and then relaunch the application (Run as administrator) V4.2 Server Configuration V4.1/4.0 site manager b. Select Licensing tab to confirm only one valid license is listed. c. Select Services tab on Server Configuration (V4.2) or site manager (V4.1/4.0) d. Manually stop them by clicking the <Stop> button for CrossFire Framework Services and CrossFire Server Component Framework Service which will stop all extension services. e. Next, click <Start Service> button for CrossFire Framework Services and CrossFire Server Component Framework Service which will start all of the applicable Extension Services. f. If needed, check the Enabled box for any Extension Services and then click <Start Service>. Note: All unified client software (e.g. V4.6) must be running the same version as the Application Server/ software (e.g. V4.6) to ensure compatibility. Step 1 Save the license file (All Versions) After successfully registering online (New 1 st Time Install or Update Existing License) and receiving your license file via email, proceed to save the license file to the local hard drive or USB stick. Step 2 Launch the application used to manage the license (Run as administrator). (All Versions) Proceed to launch the application. (All Versions) Click the <Add new license> button on the application. Proceed to select the license file (from Step #1) and then click Open. Note2: If the server is Unified where both and C CURE 9000 compatible software products are both installed and sharing a common database, then you will need to be running on a 64-bit OS and have two license files present in the default license directory: Application Server/ C CURE 9000 V4.6 V2.40 Standalone/SAS/MAS V4.5.1 V2.30R2 Standalone/SAS/MAS V4.5 V2.30 Standalone/SAS/MAS V4.4.1 V2.20 Standalone V4.4 V2.20 Standalone V4.3 V2.20 Standalone V4.3 V2.10 R2P1 Standalone V4.2.1 V2.10 R2P1 Standalone Unified Systems Licensing Notes license file must have the required C CURE 9000 Unified license option C CURE license file must have the required Unified license option Note: License add-on features are ordered by the SWH Dealer of Record. Step 3a If needed, manually remove/delete any older license files.(required for V4.2/4.1/4.0) For V4.2/4.1/4.0 versions of, you must manually navigate to the default license directory and then rename or delete the older license files (including any of the temporary StormSurge files) to ensure that a single compatible license file is present. 1. Launch Windows Explorer and navigate to the default license directory (see chart below). 2. Rename or delete any TEMP ( StormSurge ) and older license files (.LIC). 3. There should only be one license file present that is compatible with the host PC, software version and OS. Proceed to click the <Start> button for CrossFire Framework Service and for CrossFire Server Component Framework Service. and wait for Status: Running. Note: After both CrossFire Framework Services show Status: Running, all other applicable Extension Services should automatically change back to Status: Running. 4. If some any of the needed Extension Services are not showing Status: Running, then proceed to check the Enabled box next to the required Extension Service and then click the <Start> button. Step 5 Confirm the status of the software. (All Versions) For the software to function correctly, the license, services and database must all be valid: Services tabs Expected Results Application Server Components Database Settings Licensing Status: Running For all standard and licensed items If Not Licensed or Stopped, then contact Tech Support. Status: Running For all applicable items If Not Licensed or Stopped, then contact Tech Support. Status: VALID For all database entries If INVALID, then contact Tech Support. Enabled For Enable Duplex Channel And is using the correct Network Settings If different, then contact Tech Support. a. A single/compatible license in the designated directory If more than one license, then redo Step #3a above. b. The SSA expiration date (for Permanent licenses) should be valid. If Expired, then contact your American Dynamics integrator or SSA Team for a price quote to purchase one. d. All applicable Feature Set items should either be Enabled and/or accurate QTY If not accurate, then contact Customer Service to verify your order was processed (refer to Entitlement PDF email). Step 6 Relaunch or upgrade all Unified Client software (All Versions) The Unified Client software must either be relaunched or upgraded to the compatible version of the server. Below are the possible scenarios and actions that need to be taken: Application Server / / System Software Status No Change OR Patch Update Only (e.g. V4.5 => V4.5.1) (e.g. V4.4 => V4.4.1) (e.g. V4.2 => V4.2.1) (e.g. V4.1 => V4.1.2) (e.g. V4.0 => V4.0.2) (e.g. V4.0 => V4.0.1) Upgraded to Newer Software Version (e.g. V4.5 => V4.6) (e.g. V4.4 => V4.5) (e.g. V4.3 => V4.4/4.5) (e.g. V4.2 => V4.3/4.4) (e.g. V4.1 => V4.2/4.3) (e.g. V4.0 => V4.1/4.2) Install onto a different host PC OR Changes to the hardware (e.g. motherboard, NIC, boot drive) a. No Change License Status b. Updated same version license to support add-on features c. Updated same version license file to support new SSA extension a. Updated license file to support newer software version b. Updated license file to support newer software version plus add-on features. c. Updated license file to support newer software version plus new SSA extension. Note1: Original license will not work on a different host PC Note2: Original license may not work due to hardware change on host PC Note3: Original version of license will not work on newer version of software. Actions Items 1. All clients must exit the unified client software. 2. All clients must relaunch unified client and log back into the server ( or or Application Server or Unified). 1. All clients must launch the updated unified client and log back into the server ( or or Application Server or Unified). 1. administrator must email the Licensing Team (LicenseSW@tycoint.com) and provide the following information: a. Software Serial Number or original license file b. ML file generated from new replacement server c. Version of the installed server ( or or Application Server or Unified) d. Explanation of what caused need to change/modify server 2. If request is approved, then email will be sent with updated license file. 3. Apply updated license file. 4. All clients must exit the unified client software. 5. If newer software version, then all clients must upgrade the unified client software before launching the Unified Client and log into the server ( or or Application Server or Unified). Note: For Hybrid, the analog channels are not part of the software (IP) license file because the model will determine the number of physical analog input channels available for the recorder. (V4.6/4.5/4.4/4.3/4.2 licenses will have.lic extension (V4.1/4.0 licenses will have.nv4 extension e.g. 64cam_v46_NV4xxxxxxxxxxxx_nv4license.lic) e.g. 64cam_v41_NV4xxxxxxxxxxxx_nv4license.nv4) Log into Web Admin GUI by launching Internet Explorer V7+ and going to the IP address.
