Installation Procedure See attached wiring diagrams 1. The NVIROMON Server Room Outlay. (Page 5) 2. The NVIROMON is a 1U rack mountable unit. (Page 5) Mount the NVIROMON in an available 1U slot inside an allocated cabinet. 3. Power feed connection. (Page 5) Connect the IEC power inlet to an available 230VAC supply. Switch on the backup battery activation switch at the back of the unit. 4. GSM Sim card (optional) Ensure that the mains power feed is switched off and ensure that the backup battery switch, mounted on the back of the unit, is in the off position before fitting the SIM card into the SIM card slot at the front of the unit. Connect the GSM external antenna to the RF MMCX connector. 5. Multi IO unit with Battery and Battery Charger (Door Controller) (Diag. 1 Page 6) Place the unit at required location close to the access door. Connect the Power supply to an available 230VAC supply. The multi IO probe is inside the power supply enclosure. Connect the probe to the NVIROMON probe port with a CAT5 cable. Both ends of the CAT5 cable have RJ45 connectors. 6. Temperature and water probes (Diag. 2 Page 7) Place the two temperature and water probes at required locations. Connect the probes to the NVIROMON probe ports with CAT5 cables. Both ends of the CAT5 cable have RJ45 connectors. Note that DIP switches on probes are set from numbers 1 to 4. 7. Flood sensors (Diag. 2 Page 7) Place the four flood sensors at required locations. Connect the sensors to the temperature and water probe with CAT5 cables. Both ends of the CAT5 cable have RJ45 connectors. 8. DOOR switch (Diag. 3 Page 8) Install the Door switch at required location inside the access door. Connect to port 12 of the Multi IO unit inside the power supply enclosure. The CAT5 cable Connect the other end of the cable to the Door contacts according to diagram 3 on page 8. 2
9. EXIT button (Diag. 3 Page 8) Install the EXIT button at required location inside the access door. Connect to port 11 of the Multi IO unit inside the power supply enclosure. The CAT5 cable The CAT5 cable Connect the other end of the cable to the EXIT button according to diagram 3 on page 8. 10.Passive infrared (Diag. 4 Page 9) Install the PASSIVE INFRARED at required location inside the server room. Connect to port 16 of the Multi IO unit inside the power supply enclosure. The CAT5 cable The CAT5 cable Connect the other end of the cable to the PASSIVE INFRARED unit according to diagram 4 on page 9. 11. Smoke Sensor (Diag. 4 Page 9) Install the SMOKE SENSOR at required location inside the server room. Connect to port 10 of the Multi IO unit inside the power supply enclosure. The CAT5 cable The CAT5 cable Connect the other end of the cable to the SMOKE SENSOR unit according to diagram 4 on page 9. 12.BEACON Alarm (Diag. 5 Page 10) Install the BEACON alarm unit at required location outside and close to the access door. Connect to port 4 of the Multi IO unit inside the power supply enclosure. The CAT5 cable Connect the other end of the cable to the BEACON unit according to diagram 5 on page 10. 13. BUZZER Alarm (Diag. 5 Page 10) Install the BUZZER alarm unit at required location outside and close to the access door. Connect to port 8 of the Multi IO unit inside the power supply enclosure. The CAT5 cable Connect the other end of the cable to the BUZZER unit according to diagram 5 on page 10. 14. Fireman s Switch (Diag. 5 Page 10) Install the FIREMAN S SWITCH at required location inside/outside and close to the access door. Connect the Fireman s Switch contacts with a CAT5 cable to port 3 of the multi IO probe. The CAT5 cable connects to the multi IO probe with a RJ45 connector. Connect the other end of the cable to the KEY SWITCH connectors according to diagram 5 on page 10. 3
15. Key switch (Diag. 5 Page 10) Install the KEY SWITCH at required location outside and close to the access door. Connect the one KEY SWITCH contact with a cable to the contacts of the FIREMAN S SWITCH unit.according to diagram 5 on page 10. Connect the other KEY SWITCH contact with a cable to the contacts of the BREAK GLASS unit. according to diagram 5 on page 10. Connect the KEY SWITCH tamper contacts according to diagram 5 on page 10. 16. BREAK GLASS contacts (Diag. 5 Page 10) Install the BREAK GLASS contacts at required location inside and close to the access door. Connect the one BREAK GLASS contact with a cable to the negative connector of the MAGLOCK (magnetic lock) according to diagram 5 on page 10. 17. MAGLOCK (Diag. 5 Page 10) Install the MAGLOCK at required location inside the access door. Connect the the MAGLOCK contacts according to diagram 5 on page 10. 18. Keypad access control reader (Diag. 6 Page 11) Install the keypad unit at required location outside and close to the access door. Connect to port 3 of the Multi IO unit inside the power supply enclosure. The CAT5 cable Connect the other end of the cable to the keypad unit according to diagram 6 on page 11. 19. SAGEM Biometric Reader (Diag. 6 Page 11) Install the SAGEM reader at the required location outside and close to the access door. Connect to port 3 of the Multi IO unit inside the power supply enclosure. The CAT5 cable Connect the other end of the cable to the keypad unit according to diagram 6 on page 11. Connect the SAGEM ethernet connector to an ethernet port on a switch according to diagram 6 on page 11. 20. Fire protection SMOTHER (Diag. 7 Page 12) Install the SAGEM reader at the required location outside and close to the access door. Connect to port 3 of the Multi IO unit inside the power supply enclosure. The CAT5 cable Connect the other end of the cable to the keypad unit according to diagram 6 on page 11.
