Known Issues and Limitations for SAP BusinessObjects XI3.1 Service Pack 5 FixPack 1 SAP BusinessObjects Desktop Intelligence ADAPT01547346 Title: Desktop Intelligence: Incorrect information about "Login As" in documentation Release Note: Desktop Intelligence documentation inadvertently states that the "Login As" menu command might not be available depending on your user rights and connection type. This is incorrect as there is no specific right to disable the "Login As" menu. SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence ADAPT01553979 Title: Error while retrieving data sampling for entire column data set for Excel Release Note: An error occurs while retrieving data sampling for entire column data set for Excel. ADAPT01580365 Title: An error occurs when creating or editing a document based on a SAP BW universe Release Note: In Web Intelligence Rich Client opened via InfoView (BI launch pad), when you try to create or edit a Web Intelligence document based on a SAP BW universe, WIS 30270 error occurs. This happens because ConnectionServer server does not load the libmda_support.the file when starting from InfoView (BI launch pad). Do the following to fix the issue: 1. Stop the ConnectionServer server with the following command:./stopservers 2. Go to {boe-install-dir}/bobje/enterprise120/hpux_ia64, where {boe-install-dir} is the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise platform installation directory. 3. Copy the ConnectionServer binary with the following command: cp ConnectionServer ConnectionServer_bin 4. Delete the ConnectionServer binary with the following command: rm -f ConnectionServer 5. Create a text file called ConnectionServer using the following command: vi ConnectionServer 6. Put the following into the file: #!/bin/sh export LD_PRELOAD={boe-install-dir}/bobje/enterprise120/hpux_ia64/libmda_support.so: $LD_PRELOAD {boe-install-dir}/bobje/enterprise120/hpux_ia64/connectionserver_bin $@ 7. Save the file. 8. Restart the ConnectionServer server with the following command:./startservers SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius ADAPT01580621 Title: Xcelsius must be in default directory to be updated Release Note: When Xcelsius 2008 SP4 or SP5 is not installed in the default filepath, you need to do the following in order to install Fix pack 4.x or 5.x correctly: 1. Run registry 2. Manually create one of the following keys: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\Shared HKLM\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\Shared 3. Add the string SuiteInstallDir to this new key, and set its value to the folder where Xcelsius 2008 SP4/SP5 is installed. 1/4

Known Issues and Limitations for SAP BusinessObjects XI3.1 Service Pack 5 FixPack 3 SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, edition for OLAP ADAPT01632762 Title: Order of folders mismatch in Voyager Release Note: In Voyager, the order of folders for a measure group displayed in Metadata Explorer does not match the order of folders for the same group in Excel. SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform ADAPT01642328 Title: Web Intelligence and SYBASE SQL Anywhere errors Release Note: Large Web Intelligence documents that use SYBASE SQL Anywhere may produce errors in response to any of these actions: - A SQL-based event is generated. - The document is refreshed. - The document is drilled on. The problem happens when Web Intelligence tries to insert long data into one of the auditing table columns, which causes the BOE120SQLAW service to shut down. This problem does not happen when MySQL or an Oracle database is used as the auditing detabase for the document. The workaround is to modify the name of the column datatype "NVARCHAR" as shown here. Do these steps from the directory where Business Objects Enterprise with SQL Anywhere database is installed: 1) Stop the Server Intellignce Agent (SIA). 2) Connect to the SQL Anywhere database, and run the command ALTER TABLE "AUDIT_DETAIL" ALTER Detail_Text long NVARCHAR. 3) Start the Server Intellignce Agent (SIA). ADAPT01666893 Title: Installation warning to stop Sybase database can be ignored Release Note: When installing FixPack 5.3, the installer may warn that you must stop the Sybase database before continuing, but you can disregard that warning. When the installer asks if you want to re-scan the running services, select "Ignore" to continue the installation. 2/4

Known Issues and Limitations for SAP BusinessObjects XI3.1 Service Pack 5 FixPack 4 SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence ADAPT01645794 Title: Refreshing a Web Intelligence report with a large amount of data. Release Note: When you try to refresh a Web Intelligence report with a large amount of data against a Planning & Consolidation cube, the Web Intelligence server crashes after 10 minutes. Products like Web Intelligence can experience memory limitations on a 32-bit architecture because data retrieved from an OLAP server by a BI platform machine is flattened. 3/4

Known Issues and Limitations for SAP BusinessObjects XI3.1 Service Pack 5 FixPack 5 SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform ADAPT01585877 Title: Report refresh lost when cookie-based session affinity enabled in a load-balanced environment Release Note: In a load-balanced environment, when cookie-based affinity is enabled the report refresh feature no longer works. ADAPT01633886 Title: Dashboard option is disabled in InfoView with custom split installation of servers Release Note: In a custom split installation of BusinessObjects Enterprise servers, dashboard options are disabled in InfoView under the following custom installation scenario: - A machine hosts only one Central Management Server (CMS) and an input/output File Repository Server (FRS). - The web tier uses Tomcat and no other server software. - Another machine hosts all other additional servers, including Dashboard and Analytics. To solve this issue, try the following workaround: Copy all DFO files of Dashboard Analytics, including their dependencies (.gif/.xsd/and any others), onto the server that contains the CMS. BusinessObjects_ClientAction_AFDashboardPage_Create_dfo.xml BusinessObjects_ClientAction_AFDashboardPage_View_dfo.xml BusinessObjects_ClientAction_MyDashboard_View_dfo.xml BusinessObjects_ClientAction_EPM_OrganizeDashboards_dfo.xml BusinessObjects_ClientAction_CorporateDB_Create_dfo.xml BusinessObjects_ClientAction_CorporateDB_View_dfo.xml ADAPT01673816 Title: Slow performance when navigating folders in Knowledge Management Release Note: After upgrading to Business Warehouse 7.3, when navigating Business Objects folders that are published in SAP Portal 7.3 over Knowledge Management, it may take longer than usual for folders to display, and to open and close. This is problem results from the type of user authentication used in SAP Knowledge Management. Using the authentication type "secsapr3" causes the system to slow down as described here. The solution is to instead use the authentication type "secenterprise". This will be documented in a future release of "SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise Integration for SAP Solutions Installation and Administration Guide". SAP BusinessObjects Desktop Intelligence ADAPT01684863 Title: NoFilter() function does not work with measure variables Release Note: In the BO XI R2 and XI 3.1 versions of Desktop Intelligence, the NoFilter() function does not work with measure variables. This issue cannot be fixed due to a high risk of regression. We recommend that you do not use variables or change the variable type from a measure to a dimension when applying the NoFilter() function. 4/4

Fixed Issues for SAP BusinessObjects XI 3.1 and Crystal Reports 2008 Service Pack 5 FixPack 1 SAP BusinessObjects Analysis, edition for OLAP ADAPT01522449 Description: Hidden members may be displayed and appear in the wrong order. Limitations: By design, hidden members will reappear when drilling down on members. ADAPT01526953 Description: When drilling down or invoking a member selector, using the "Display Member Selector" option, the error message "VYC00041" appears. This problem happens on dimensions that contain large amounts of data. ADAPT01613448 Description: In SAP BusinessObjects Voyager, it can take a long time for Mobile Data Entry (MDE) to display measures within folders. SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence mobile applications ADAPT01581409 Description: When you access the SAP BusinessObjects Mobile for ipad application through https (SSL), the following error occurs: HTTP Error 404 SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform ADAPT01401888 Description: The Central Management Console (CMC) may incorrectly indicate that a user is denied rights in a linked universe; however, the user has been granted those rights and is able to use them. ADAPT01486962 Description: When the File System Destination option is enabled, Administrators are unable to limit the file system locations to which users can schedule documents. To solve the problem, a feature has been added that lets Administrators restrict file locations on the disk to which each job server can schedule documents to. See the Release Notes for details. Limitations: This feature does not support multilingual strings or relative paths. ADAPT01501491 Description: Objects may fail to be imported by programs that use the Java SDK BIAR feature. This problem happens when the metadata for the objects contain non-ascii characters. In that case, an exception is thrown: com.crystaldecisions.thirdparty.org.omg.corba.data_conversion. 1/74

ADAPT01517631 Description: When a user copies an object in BusinessObjects Enterprise on one page, and pastes it onto another, the folder containing the object is pasted instead. ADAPT01517822 Description: In BusinessObjects Enterprise deployments that are configured with Single Sign On (SSO) using Vintella, if Windows Integrated Authentication (WIA) is disabled, accessing an OpenDocument link results in a 404 error or the browser freezing. ADAPT01534929 Description: In Desktop Intelligence in.net InfoView (BI launch pad), when a space is added between values for a prompt, instead of adding the extra space to the prompt, the space is automatically converted to the parameter EMPTY_VALUE. This means users are unable to access the empty space. ADAPT01536490 Description: In the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise.NET SDK, it is not possible to see whether a user has been granted Advanced rights. If a user has been granted Advanced rights in the Central Management Console (CMC), from the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise.NET SDK the user's rights will be indicated as regular rights. This problem does not happen in the SAP BusinessObjects Java Enterprise SDK. ADAPT01537742 Description: When a new users makes changes on the General section of the Preferences page in Java InfoView, those changes fail to also be copied to the Preferences page in.net InfoView. ADAPT01541864 Description: In the Web Intelligence in.net InfoView (BI launch pad), the Save As dialog box fails to display the subfolders of the Documents list. ADAPT01542025 Description: The CMS terminates unexpectedly when the database service is stopped and restarted. This problem happens when the auditing database is on Microsoft SQL Server 2008. ADAPT01550503 Description: An internal "500" error message appears when you try to add a Replication job within Federation. This problem happens when the application is deployed on WebLogic 10. ADAPT01550646 Description: When configuring LDAP authentication to map an organizational unit that contains quotation marks and a comma in its name, the LDAP authentication will produce an error and fail to finish. ADAPT01552242 Description: When attempting to replicate multiple universes that use the same connection, an error message appears. 2/74

ADAPT01552888 Description: The "-managed start" command does not work for servers that should start when the user tries to perform./stopservers and./startservers. ADAPT01559622 Description: When calling setuvconnectioninfo while importing a BIAR file that contains a connection to a SQL Server database, custom parameters on the connection (specifically the connectinit parameter) fail to be retained. This problem happens when using Oracle with MySQL. The following API methods have been added: - setuvodbcconnectioninfo - setuvoleconnectioninfo - setuvoracleconnectioninfo These API methods enable users to set connectivity parameters as with other connection configurations. Limitations: The fix applies only to the following database connection configurations: - MySQL 5 - MS SQL Server 2005 and 2008 - Oracle 10g/11g Connectivity is achieved using ODBC and OLE DB for MS Sql, and MySQL with the Oracle client for Oracle. ADAPT01559987 Description: When using the replicating and federating features in SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise to synchronize content between two servers,.net InfoView (BI launch pad) fails to display the Document List. Limitations: The Replication icon fails to be displayed on the server that is doing the federating. ADAPT01564008 Description: When a Crystal report is scheduled to publish, the publication may fail to run, and then the following error message appears: Object could not be scheduled within the specified time interval. ADAPT01564560 Description: In.Net infoview, Title and Type headings for publication instances fail to be displayed for some of the "Document Viewing" options. ADAPT01566903 Description: A URL parameter in /platformservices/service/app/logoff.do is vulnerable to a cross-site scripting injection. The cause of the problem is the absence of a check for code that starts with JavaScript or VBscript when the URL is processed. The problem is resolved. To solve the problem, when an invalid URL is injected, a blank page is displayed. ADAPT01567510 Description: The Publication dialog box for Web Intelligence documents that use a prompt value is displayed at a size too small to show all its contents, and it cannot be resized. ADAPT01567738 Description: When a scheduled report fails to run and the error message Object could not be scheduled within the specified time interval" appears, the report is automatically run again after a few minutes, even when the retry interval has been set to "0". 3/74

ADAPT01569477 Description: In Desktop Intelligence in the 3-tier mode, an error message appears when Desktop Intelligence documents are refreshed. ADAPT01569891 Description: When the Language Locale for Internet Explorer is set to Japanese, and Japanese characters are used as keywords in the Search box, an error message appears. This problem happens when SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise is deployed on Websphere Application Server 7. ADAPT01572043 Description: When a user sends an object to an email destination, and the process fails, the error code fails to be correctly recorded in the log files. ADAPT01575413 Description: A category search in InfoView may return no results. ADAPT01580570 Description: An error appears when users import a BIAR file into a Crystal report that contains special characters, such as @ or & in variable names. ADAPT01585012 Description: An error occurs when users click the "Role Import" tab in the SAP Authentication page of the Central Management Console (CMC). ADAPT01585281 Description: When logging out of BusinessObjects InfoView on NetWeaver 7.3, a NetWeaver error message appears. ADAPT01589752 Description: Crystal reports cannot be scheduled to non-default formats or destinations in InfoView when the "Show Filters Tab" option is disabled. This problem happens when SAP Integration Kid (IK) is installed. The "Show Filters Tab" option is in the Central Management Console (CMC), under Applications > InfoView. ADAPT01591332 Description: Auditing events that fail to be completed are logged in the Auditing database but not in the Central Management Console (CMC) logs. This problem happens on systems that use Sybase version 15.0.03 when an event is triggered for an object after the object has been deleted. Because the object is not found, the event is considered incomplete but is not logged as an event in the CMC log. To solve the problem, when an incomplete event occurs, it is logged in the CMC log files as an incomplete event in a new table named INCOMPLETE_EVENTS. ADAPT01592180 Description: When saving a large Desktop Intelligence document to PDF format (using the Save As option), the following error message appears: No server available to process your request, please try again later (Error RFC 00101)". 4/74

ADAPT01593499 Description: When Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is enabled on the server, the Import Wizard fails to connect to the server, and then an error message appears. This problem happens on a client machine that uses "mixed" protocol. The error message reads: "com.businessobjects.sdk.biar.om.internal.iw.objectmanageriwexception:unable to find servers in CMS CmsName:6400 and cluster @ClusterName with kind cms and service null. All such servers could be down or disabled by the administrator. (FWM 01014)." ADAPT01595004 Description: Users of SAP Active Directory cannot log onto the system when Kerberos is used for network authentication. This problem happens for users who switched from NTLM authentication was switched to Kerberos. The cause of the problem is that the "maximum token size" value is retrieved from Windows through the QuerySecurityPackageInfo function, and the Windows Kerberos system returns tickets in numbers that exceed the maximum token size. ADAPT01595458 Description: When a user changes a setting in the Preferences dialog box for.net InfoView (BI launch pad) and Java InfoView (BI launch pad), for example the setting for the Home page, the change fails to be applied. ADAPT01595462 Description: In.NET or Java InfoView (BI launch pad), when a user modifies the Web Intelligence Preferences the changes fail to be applied. ADAPT01623398 Description: Desktop Intelligence documents that have been set to auto-index may cause an "Indexing Failure" error message to appear in the log files. ADAPT01624055 Description: When a Dashboards model is closed, reopened, and refreshed several times within 20 minutes in the BI Launch pad, the following error message appears: Failed to get the document information. (LO 26315) ADAPT01629188 Description: In SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise Xl 3.1, when a Web Intelligence document is displayed in a browser from an opendocument link, the document fails to close when users click the Close icon. SAP BusinessObjects Desktop Intelligence ADAPT01515360 Description: In a Desktop Intelligence document, only the date is refreshed when using LastExecutionDate function. The time does not get refreshed. ADAPT01517727 Description: The Desktop Intelligence Cascading Prompt does not respond in InfoView when an Audit in the Desktop Intelligence Cache is enabled. 5/74

ADAPT01529845 Description: In Desktop Intelligence, an error message appears when: - You click "Browse" in Tools > Add-ins. - When a "MyDocument" path has Japanese characters. ADAPT01529851 Description: When you upgrade Desktop Intelligence to FP 3.4, the page header in a Desktop Intelligence document is not the same as designed. ADAPT01539063 Description: A list of values for a Desktop Intelligence report prompt is limited by the MAX_INLIST_VALUES parameter when it is refreshed via InfoView. ADAPT01539739 Description: The window does not appear below the "File menu" option when the File menu is selected in Desktop Intelligence. ADAPT01540218 Description: If a blank row is added to a Desktop Intelligence report, margins are increased when the report is migrated from SP3 to FP3.6. ADAPT01544439 Description: In a Desktop Intelligence document, the "Break Header" break checkbox is not unchecked automatically when removing other breaks. ADAPT01547346 Description: The Desktop Intelligence help states that the "Login As" menu command can be hidden by changing the user's rights. There is no right which controls the visibility of the Login As menu command for a user. ADAPT01552212 Description: Desktop Intelligence terminates unexpectedly after inserting a variable that includes a group. ADAPT01552531 Description: In Desktop Intelligence, when the "Refresh on Open" option is set for a report, instances for that report will refresh when opened. By design, report instances are not meant to perform an automatic refresh. ADAPT01554206 Description: In a Desktop Intelligence report that contains an FTP address hyperlink and is scheduled for publication as mhtml, with "Send as Attachment" selected, via an email, a blank email is sent. ADAPT01561824 Description: A Desktop Intelligence report exported to Excel creates an error file after upgrading to FixPack 3.3. 6/74

ADAPT01564462 Description: When WebSphere is used, an HTTP 400 error message may appear when users try to open Desktop Intelligence documents in InfoView. The style sheet, which is set in the Desktop Intelligence Preferences page in InfoView or the Central Management Console (CMC), fails to be applied. This happens because the wrong class is used; the Encoder class is used instead of the Utility class in the file user_deskipreferences.jsp. ADAPT01568717 Description: In Desktop Intelligence, when a search is performed from the Search box on the Publication Delivery Rule tab or on the Global Delivery Rule tab, Desktop Intelligence freezes. ADAPT01569481 Description: Users denied access to their personal folders (Favorites) will not be able to see the Public Folder when selecting "Import from repository" in Desktop Intelligence. ADAPT01571620 Description: In Desktop Intelligence cells, the last decimals of some numbers are wrongly displayed with some numeric formats having 10 digits or more after the floating point. ADAPT01572851 Description: In a Desktop Intelligence document, when refreshing an individual query which depends on data from another query, the other query does not get refreshed. ADAPT01578616 Description: In Desktop Intelligence, if you click the refresh icon, select a value from the list in the query prompt, and then click OK the @Variable('UNVNAME') appears as #UNKNOWN. ADAPT01580360 Description: The hyperlink parameter target="_blank" does not open the Desktop Intelligence report in a new window in InfoView. ADAPT01582833 Description: On Windows 7 (64 bit version), viewing Desktop Intelligence documents opens multiple Desktop Intelligence application instances. ADAPT01582906 Description: The sort order in Desktop Intelligence > Send To Users is not correct. ADAPT01589496 Description: After deleting users from the "Send to user" recipient list, the OK button remains active. ADAPT01589500 Description: In Desktop Intelligence, adjusting the column width in a universe list window inserts a blank column. ADAPT01592431 Description: In the Desktop Intelligence document view in InfoView HTML mode on Internet Explorer browsers, the numbers and borders are truncated. ADAPT01593011 Description: In.NET InfoView, the List of Values (LOV) search in a Desktop Intelligence prompt returns an error.
