The following provides instructions on how to connect to the SJCD-Secure Wireless Network from a variety of operating systems and devices. Windows 7 Instructions 1. Click once on the Wireless Connections icon in the taskbar. 2. Click once on SJCD-Secure to select it and then click on Connect. 3. You should immediately be prompted to enter your login information. Enter the same username and password that you use to access SOS or a campus computer. Username: G# Students Password: your SOS password Employees Username: firstname.lastname Password: your network password 4. Click OK. Note: You may receive an error stating 'The Credentials provided by the server could not be validated...' If you receive this error, simply click Connect. 5. You are now connected to SJCD-Secure and may access the internet as well as internal resources. 2 Page

Windows 10 Instructions 1. Click once on the Wireless Connections icon in the taskbar. 2. Click once on SJCD-Secure to select it and then click on Connect. 3. You should immediately be prompted to enter your login information. Enter the same username and password that you use to access SOS or a campus computer. Username: G# Students Password: your SOS password Employees Username: firstname.lastname@sjcd.edu Password: your network password 4. Click OK. Note: You may receive an error stating 'The Credentials provided by the server could not be validated...' If you receive this error, simply click Connect. 5. You are now connected to SJCD-Secure and may access the internet as well as internal resources. 3 Page

Android Instructions 1. Locate and tap Settings on your android device. 2. Tap Connections. 3. Tap Wi-Fi (ensure Wi-Fi is on) 4. Tap SJCD-Secure 5. Without changing any of the defaults (EAP method, Phase 2 authentication, CA certificate, etc.) add your credentials in the appropriate fields and then tap Connect. SJC Employees will use their firstname.lastname for the Identity field. The password is the employee s network password. SJC Students will use their G# (G0XXXXXXX) for the Identity field. The password is the student s SOS password. 6. You are now connected to SJCD-Secure and may access the internet as well as internal resources. 4 Page

Mac OS Instructions 1. Click on the AirPort icon in the menu bar. 2. In the sub-menu that appears, click on SJCD-Secure. 3. In the dialog box that appears, enter the same username and password you use to log into a campus computer. NOTE: When entering the username, you MUST include 'MAIN\' before entering your network ID. For example, if you are a student and your G# is G00123456, you're username would be MAIN\G00123456. Employees would type in main\firstname.lastname 4. Ensure that 802.1X is set to Automatic. 5. Click on OK. 5 Page

ios Instructions 1. From the home screen tap Settings. 2. On the Settings Menu, tap Wi-Fi. 3. On the Wi-Fi menu, tap the On/Off button to activate. 4. Once activated, the available wireless networks appear. 5. Select SJCD-Secure 6 Page

6. You will be prompted to enter your login information. Enter the same username and password that you use to access SOS or a campus computer. Employees Students Username: firstname.lastname Username: G# Password: your network password Password: your SOS password 7. Tap Join to proceed. 8. Tap the Accept or Trust button. 9. You will be redirected to the Wi-Fi menu. Your iphone is now connected to SJCD-Secure. 7 Page
