How do I make my project into a jpg or other flattened file type? To create a flattened file from your finished project - suitable for sending to a printing company or sharing with others electronically - click on the Output tab. Select To File 1 / 7

Set up the information you need to complete the render: File Name: Type a name for your rendered project File Type: Select a file type from the drop down menu - jpg, pdf, png, etc File naming scheme: Options include page numbering, project and file names, and layout. Note: most projects will use "default" Folder: Click on the >> button to select a folder on your system where the project will be saved Cropping Options: Render Canvas Only will crop the image to the trim edge of the canvas (suitable for borderless printing or electronic sharing) Render Canvas + Bleed will crop the image to the bleed edge of the canvas. (Suitable for projects using a printing manufacturer's presets) Render Canvas + Bleed + Overhang includes frames that extend beyond the edge of your canvas. (Rarely used, only for graphic designers) Watermark Collage: Add a custom watermark, should you have created one (suitable for proof 2 / 7

documents to be sent to a client) Show Crop Marks: When enabled, the rendered file will include crop marks at the trim line, but only if Render Canvas + Bleed is selected Overlay Image Info: When enabled, image file names will display over all images in the project (suitable for proof documents or contact sheets) Add Banner: If a custom banner (an image with an embedded hyperlink) has been created, enabling this option will display the banner on the project Resolution and Quality Adjust the Dots Per Inch (dpi) as per your requirements. Changing the dpi will change the size (resolution) of the project, in relation to the dimensions of your project. If your project will be sent to a professional printing company, ensure that you are setting the dpi as per their recommended settings (normally 300 dpi). If you plan to share your project electronically (eg. on social media) and don't need high-resolution images, we recommend 100-150 dpi. Quality: Lowering the quality percentage will increase the amount of compression for projects rendered in JPG file format. More compression will produce a smaller file at lower quality, while less compression produces a larger, higher-quality file. If you have chosen PDF in the File Type field, you will see two additional options: 3 / 7

Render as Layers and Vectors will product a large file, suitable for high-quality printing, including very sharp text. Flattened will produce a small file, suitable for proof documents or standard printing. Layers with flattened text will produce a large file, with easier-to-print text. Choose between creating a single multipage file or multiple separate files. Convert to srgb and tag with srgb - This option is recommended for most users use this if the images used in your project are srgb, untagged, or a mix of photos from various color spaces are used. FotoFusion will convert each of the color spaces and tag the rendered file with srgb. Most pro photo labs will print your images using the srgb color space and will process your images as if they were embedded with this color space. (Note: FotoFusion does not render CMYK output.) Pass through profiles unchanged and tag with common profile - If all images in the project 4 / 7

were create using a common color space, select this option to keep the color profile in the rendered project. Pass through profiles unchanged and tag with selected profile - This option allows users to manually select a color space for the rendered project. Once selected, click on the... button to view your installed color profiles and select the one required. Other Options Local Viewer: Choose between previewing the output in FotoFusion, or in an external editor (eg. Photoshop), or a viewer (eg. Irfanview) installed on your computer. Entire Canvas: By default, FotoFusion will render the entire canvas regardless of whether it is a single side or a two-page spread. Select Double Page Separate to split two-page spreads into individual sides. If page segments were defined in the project, selecting Respect Page Segments will render the segments individually. 5 / 7

All Pages: This option will render all pages in a multipage project. Selected Page will only render the page that is currently being viewed under the Create tab. Assemble Book will disregard the current project and launch a file browser to assemble multiple projects to render into a single project. Don't Split Covers: The default setting will keep a cover as a single file. Other options include Split between front cover and spine and Split between spine and back cover. Use only if recommended by your printing company. 6 / 7
