TERMS MTs- Mobiles Terminated: refers to any outgoing text message from the system to the customer s cell phone (broadcast message, auto reply) MOs-Mobiles Originated: refers to any incoming text message from the customer s cell phone to the system (replying YES, texting in the keyword) NLs-Network Lookup: when a customer texts in and the system needs to perform a lookup to determine their carrier. An automated process done only by the system Records: Number of unique phone numbers in each database
DATABASE You can find a snapshot of your merchant s databases on the dashboard at the bottom left hand corner: RECORD COLUMN: this will tell you how many active phone numbers are in the given database To view specific information regarding each record, click (View All)
DATABASE Active Status: that customer is an active member of the database and will receive all texts sent out Opt Out Status: that customer texted STOP or END and will no longer receive any messages from the merchant Single Opt-in: that customer texted in the keyword, but didn t reply YES and will need to be removed and opt-in again to become a member of that database Common misconception- the City, State & Zip listed are not submitted by the customer opted in, but by the carrier. A data collection would have to be run in order to obtain this specific information
UTILIZATION REPORT To calculate monthly message totals: this is a combination of all outgoing AND incoming messages month to date from the 1 st day to the last day of the month REPORTS TAB: click Utilization Report. Once loaded, filter by date and click Go Add together the totals in the first two columns (MTs + Mos = total message usage)
BROADCAST MESSAGING Step 1- Name the campaign (customers cannot see it) Step 2- Content of message needs to include business name and any other special instructions including expiration date
BROADCAST MESSAGING-SHORT URL SHORT URL: When you are at Step 2 of the Broadcast Message please follow these steps to create & insert a Short URL: 1. Click the chain link icon at the top of the Message Box 2. The Add A Short URL box will appear, click Create Short URL 3. Give that URL a title so that you can easily select it at a later date 4. Copy and paste your URL into the Long URL box
BROADCAST MESSAGING-SHORT URL 1. Click the Add Button: 2. Select the Link that you just added by its title, and the link will auto populate in the Short URL field box

BROADCAST MESSAGING-MEDIA FILE MEDIA FILE: When you are at Step 2 of the Broadcast Message please follow these steps to create & insert a Media File: 1. Click the photograph link icon at the top of the Message Box (middle icon) 2. The Add A Media File box will appear, click Upload Image 3. Give that image a title so that you can easily select it at a later date 4. Click Choose File in the MM File field 5. Select the image you want to upload when your File Finder appears a. Note, the image needs to already be saved on the device that you are using b. It can only be 500kb in size or smaller c. You can only use image types that are jpeg, gif or png If you put the link FIRST in the message, it can show up as an imbedded image for most phones. For those phones that don t support this feature, it will still show up as a link!
BROADCAST MESSAGING-MEDIA FILE 1. Once you have selected the image, click Upload: 2. Select the image that you just added by its title, and the link will auto populate in the File URL field box

BROADCAST MESSAGING Step 3- Select at least 1 database. This will be the phone numbers that will receive the broadcast message. Step 4- You can launch the message now or choose a date/time in the future that you want the message sent out. Always click the Launch button in order to send the message out now or for a later date.
BROADCAST MESSAGING-RECURRING MESSAGING First Occurrence: Select the date/time of the 1 st message you are to send out Leave the Expiration option as it defaults- do not change Occurrence/Recurrence Time: Choose your Recurrence time which can be the same as the 1 st broadcast that you setup or it can be a different time of day. Note, whatever you set this time for is when all other messages going forward will send out- time cannot vary Recurrence Duration: the time between each message max is 1 month Recurrence Pattern: Options run from hourly to monthly. Range of Recurrence: When do you want the recurring message to end? You can either end after a certain number of occurrences or at a specific date.
