Enhancements Esignature Improvements Electronic signature is a very important component of many processes and our customers have let us know that more advanced use cases need to be supported. We have listened and with this release have taken a major step in adding capabilities that are needed to support these use cases. These features are only available via the web. These features will be added to Advanced Workflow in a future release. Highlights Multiple signers can be added to the signature request and can be required to sign in the order specified or in any order A Carbon Copy (CC) can be added to the signature task to allow others to be notified when the request is sent and complete. The signature request can be previewed prior to sending. Signature blocks and other fields can be easily adjusted or added using drag and drop prior to sending E-Signature requests can be resumed at a later time if the user is interrupted before completing the request. SpringCM Edit To keep up with the ever-changing way that browsers look to prevent malware from installing extensions that do things like track your browsing, displaying adds, or other malicious actions, we have changed the behavior when SpringCM Edit is launched. When a user launches SpringCM Edit, a pop-up dialogue is displayed to inform the user that Edit is being started. If SpringCM Edit is installed the pop-up will automatically close after Edit opens. If SpringCM Edit is not the most current version or is not installed, the pop up will inform the the user that an, update or install is needed. The current version of SpringCM Edit, version 1.3 will still allow the document to be downloaded and edited but the user needs to upgrade to allow for the pop up dialogue to automatically close. Other Enhancements Beginning with the June 2014 release, new styling was introduced for all email messages generated by SpringCM. The new styling uses the SpringCM color theme, replaces links with buttons, etc. The text of the messages has also been updated to be more readable. This process will span the next 2-3 releases. In this release: o The wording and styling of Approval workflow email messages (task assignment, reminder, and expiration). o The styling of the the reset password email has been updated. For Customers that are integrated with Salesforce o Administrators will be notified when the credentials for Salesforce Sync user are invalid. This is important because the Sync user is used to synchronize users and groups from Salesforce to SpringCM. The credentials are also often used when launching workflows from Salesforce. The credentials for Salesforce Sync user are managed on the Salesforce Configuration page in Preferences. An email will be sent every 15 minutes until the credentials are fixed or sync is disabled (See setting Keep users in sync with Salesforce on Salesforce Configuration Page). o Multiple documents can be dragged and dropped into another folder in the File It! Application for Salesforce. Search has been updated to improve usability o All results (up to 200) are returned without having to click the Show More link o User can now page thru the entire result set as well as change sort order o Messages have been improved to notify when the user when their query exceeds the maximum that can be displayed o Show More link has been removed. Multi-byte characters are supported for document names and description fields. The Users Report now includes both the Security Group and the Persona assigned. Improved readability of message when SSO is being setup with an invalid certificate Document Compare has been enhanced so that changes to document formatting can be included when comparing two documents or two versions of a document. When documents are uploaded as part of an E-form submission, a history record is written indicating that the document is uploaded with the submission of a specific form. The Advanced Viewer now supports only HTML5 browsers (IE9+ and current versions of Firefox, Safari and Chrome. Internet Explorer 8 is no longer supported. Known Issues Large uploads greater than 700 MB may occasionally fail The SpringCM Edit pop-up will not automatically close when using SpringCM Edit version 1.3. Apple is expected to release the iphone 6 and IOS 8 the week of September 8th. SpringCM has been actively testing the SpringCM Mobile application against ios 8 beta software. A set of changes introduced in the ios 8 beta 5 significantly degraded the user experience when using SpringCM Mobile on an ios devices. This includes iphones, ipads, and ipods. As a result we do not recommend using SpringCM version 1.5 on any ios device. We are actively working on an update that will support IOS 8 and apologize for any inconvenience caused by this issue.
